Before I get into whatever bullsh-t story OK! Magazine is doing, can I just say that they used a really beautiful photo of Kendra? She looks gorgeous here, maybe the prettiest photo I’ve ever seen of her. It helps that it looks like a “makeunder” photo, because Kendra has drag queen style, always too heavily made up and in some kind of outfit that looks like a costume.
Anyway, as you may have gathered, OK! Magazine’s cover story is all about sex tapes and betrayal or whatever. Here’s the first part of OK’s excerpt from the cover story:
Lately, Kendra Wilkinson Baskett has been the perfect picture of a carefree new wife and blissful young mom. But OK! has learned exclusively that the reality TV star and former Playboy Playmate’s wild past has come back to haunt her.
A salacious sex tape has surfaced, and Kendra, 24, is desperately waging a legal battle to keep it from going public. Only in this week’s OK! PLUS:
• OK! has all the legal documents involved in Kendra’s attempt to quash the sale of the sex tape.
• Exclusive pics of Kendra, Hank and their baby Hank at home.
• The details of Kendra’s plan to defend her life with her family.

Then, a few hours later, OK got a statement from Kendra’s rep, who told the magazine, “Kendra’s attorneys are currently evaluating and pursuing Kendra’s rights with respect to the purported video and any third parties involved in the possible sale, reproduction or distribution of the same. During this difficult time, Kendra and her family would greatly appreciate the respect of their privacy.” So… the sex tape exists! That’s what her rep just confirmed. And I’m guessing the sex tape wasn’t with Hef, bless his heart. It was probably with an old boyfriend? Maybe someone pre-Hef? Who knows?
UPDATE: We just got this notice from Vivid Entertainment:
‘We know that Kendra has millions of fans and we feel that it’s rare to find well-produced, hardcore footage of a star of her magnitude. The tape was brought to us by a third party and after consulting with our attorneys, we are confident in our right to distribute it. We’ve been trying to reach Kendra but have so far been unsuccessful. We therefore made the decision to release ‘Kendra Exposed’ to stores across the country by the end of May,’ said Steven Hirsch, founder/co-chairman of Vivid. “We believe this could be our all time best selling celebrity tape.”
“Kendra Exposed” will be distributed under the Vivid-Celeb imprint and Kendra will joining such celebrities as Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, Kim Kardashian and Ray J, former Miss USA Kelli McCarty, Shauna Sand and others whose sex tapes have also been released by Vivid.
The explicit tape was made before she was engaged to and then married Philadelphia Eagles receiver Hank Baskett. The name of her sex partner in the video, that was shot prior to her moving into the Playboy mansion, has not been revealed.
Yikes. Poor Kendra. CB thinks the OK cover might have been promotion for the tape, but I don’t really think Kendra would be happy to have an explicit sex tape out there now that she’s trying to be a good wife and mother (and Hank’s family is really conservative too!).

I’m getting a little tired of all the sympathy for these idiot girls that make sex tapes, live a “questionable” life and then decide to clean it up and are pissed that their past keeps coming back to haunt them! I made some real bad choices at eighteen that have occasionally come back to bite me, but I wasn’t stupid enough to make a sex tapes or text out pics of myself! Why do they get “stupid passes” for doing something so obviously risky? Especially if they have goals of being “famous” someday? I just don’t get it.

Here is the one thing I have never understood, with all these homemade porn tapes, how can they be marketed and sold for profit, without the parties involved giving a formal release.

Here’s the details of what happens when one is released. The boo hoo I don’t want it released is a media ploy. What happens is vivid says “Kendra we have this sex tape. We are going to release it. If you don’t sign off on it, we will release it with your face blurred, but everyone will know its you anyway. If you do sign off on it, we will give you 7 million” or whatever amount. Do people use them for foreplay, to help them hone their technique, or just roll them out when it’s family video night? It just seems like watching yourself would be a nerve wracking experience.
