As many of you remember, Betty White is the special guest host of this week’s Saturday Night Live. NBC just released three promos for the event, and they’re pretty funny. In case you were hoping for more “Betty is a hot cougar, and she will tap that ass” jokes, I’m sorry to disappoint you. Instead, you’ll just have to enjoy Betty throwing a gang sign:

And in one last piece of Betty news, she was named one of Time Magazine’s “Most Influential” people, and last night she attended the gala. There are some photos of her with Sarah Palin, but we don’t have those. Instead, enjoy Betty with Martha Stewart and Taylor Swift:

I was part of the “Betty White to host SNL” movement on Gawker and I am so, so, so super excited for this weekend! My gay bff is having a viewing party.
Is it wrong that I hope she makes out with Andy Samberg? Or maybe James Franco will do a cameo to come tag team her with Will Forte?
These are what dreams are made of. Sigh.

We want her in the Kissing Family sketch so that she can make out with Bill Hader and Will Forte, heck even Tina Fey.
I hope that the show will be good and live up to all of the hype and excitement being generated for Betty.

@anon: Betty White mania is not about her being wild and zany. It’s about Betty sending Rue McClanahan a get-well card that read “I hope you die so I can be the last Golden Girl.”

If you aren’t used to Betty’s jokes, she may seem a bit crass. However, she has always had a wicked and “R-rated” sense of humour, even for back in the 50′s and 60′s when she did mostly game show panels. I understand that you could find it strange but that is just Betty!

I TOTALLY LOVE HER! SO DOES MY FIANCE. After I finish typing this, I am going to call our neighbors and plan a “viewing SNL party!” This is just such a freakin’ breath of fresh air! A potty mouthed, hysterically funny old woman who still is relevant! Brings to mind “The Fruitcake Lady” – one of our all time faves! If you are not familiar, check YouTube!

Why is ev1 so excited about Betty White. From what I’ve read about her thru the years she in her personal life wasn’t that NICE. She did not like children, did not want to take time out of her precious life to give birth,YET she became famous for her love of ANIMALS. Animals are one thing to love and support and make yourself out like a hero. Never heard of her loving children or giving her time to raising money for sick kids or even giving a donation to St Judes Hospital. the woman only had room for her own selfish career, stealing Allen Luden from his wife and getting involved in other married men’s lives. SMILE Betty White the worst people always get the praise. I bet you still don’t miss giving birth to your own family and having a bunch of snotty nosed grandkids messing up your house. Here’s to another 80 happy go lucky life. Does it ever get lonely at the top. We Granny’s are never lonley.
