Here is an early preview of Kristen Stewart’s appearance in the July issue of Elle UK. The photography is by Matthias Vriens McGrath, and I think it kind of works. Kristen is a tricky subject though – she’s so dependent on styling. I do think she’s a pretty girl, but she’s been in some truly terrible photo shoots. For me, the gold standard of Kristen Stewart pictorials is still the one she did for Interview Magazine last year – I love that one, and she looked so sexy, edgy and hardcore, but not like she was trying too hard. The worst was probably the Harper’s Bazaar shoot with Robert Pattinson, where they made her keep her “Bella” wig on and styled her to look like a princess. It fell flat. This one is somewhere in between. I like the black-and-white photography, but it just doesn’t feel new to me.
I haven’t been able to find any excerpts from the cover interview yet, so I’ll just bore you with some fun facts about K-Stew that we haven’t reported on yet:
*She’s spending most of the summer promoting Eclipse, but in August she’ll be doing On the Road, the film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s classic, iconic novel. She’s be playing Marylou, Dean Moriarty’s wife. Dean is going to be played by Garrett Hedlund (I had to look him up – he‘s on Friday Night Lights and he‘s kind of cute). Oh, crap – Kirsten Dunst has signed on too. Several weeks ago, Kristen confirmed the news, saying: “I am very much attached to a movie that has been trying to get made forever. Not that this is going to help it, but maybe I can just brag a little bit. I am super excited about it, too. I am about to play Marylou in ‘On the Road.’ So that’s a big deal.”
*Kristen and Pattinson are going to be presenting at the MTV Movie Awards – TOGETHER. That sound you heard was millions of tweens having a simultaneous orgasm. Oh, but Taylor Lautner (Jacob) will be there too – boner killer. His voice annoys the hell out of me. When he grows up, he’s going to sound like Jesse James.
*Last, did you guys hear the rumor that Kristen was supposed to be Vogue’s June cover girl, and not Blake Lively? LaineyGossip had a piece about it last week – rumor was that Anna Wintour would only give Kristen the cover if Kristen did an in-depth and personal interview. Kristen refused and she got bumped. Maybe that’s why that Blake Lively piece seemed so random and thrown-together – it was. But I got my Vogue over the weekend, and Kristen is included! She’s modeling Vogue’s new feature, the “Steal of the Month”. They put her in a look that costs less than $1000 I think. It’s a good photo, but it would have been cool to see her on the cover instead of Blake. Here’s the Vogue photo:

The first black and white picture indeed does look nice, only it doesn’t look much as her.
I don’t think anybody who’s so dependent on styling should be called pretty. You either are good looking or not and your face features show it or not, with or without good styling. That’s at least how I define pretty. And she has a few things about her face and body that need tremendous styling (hate to mention them but if you haven’t noticed e.g. ears, nose, boyish legs)!
Not that I think it should matter if one’s pretty or not, but my blood is boiling when ppl call average girls (at best) pretty and still look for flaws in others. I understand you can think she’s got that something or for some reson you find her attractive but she’s by no means pretty.
To quote the fabulous Tina Cohen-Chang from Glee last night: “My mom won’t even let me watch Twilight! She thinks Kristen Stewart seems like a bitch.”

Well, about the rape thing, most people used it loosely nowadays even me and my friends.You shouldn’t fault her for that. I maybe reaching here but rape maybe considered as plunder or pillage of a person without their consent. I also gathered she played a rape victim long time ago.

On the Road has long been considered one of those “unfilmable” books, and with Kristen & Kirsten cast I’m pretty sure it’s going to be “unwatchable” too. Still, only another year and a bit and the Twilight quadrilogy will be over and we’ll never have to hear from Kristen Stewart ever again!!
She has an upside-down smile, I turned my phone upside down for the first pic just to check and it looked like she has a pretty smile.
“On the Road” is really infilmable and t is soooooo old. I doubt anyone would be interested in it because people like some CGI.
It can either be great for both those actresses’ career or can ruin them. But if Kstew shows her chops there, it would mean (gasp) awards and twilight would be rendered unimportant. I hope she does. I sometimes pity this kid, she worked her ass off for 10 years got to be famous but with a crap franchise.

I think she is lovely. I respect that she doesn’t play into the Hollywood starlet thing and that she is her own person. If you really read what she says, she does appreciates the irony of her situation. I hope that given the laser focus on her that she continues to do things her way and doesn’t become just another Hollywood cut out young woman. I also hope she surrounds herself with real people and not the sycophants that make up the entertainment industry. I think that is when so many of these actors get into trouble when they start believing the hype. And she is smart to keep her private life for herself.

Anyone who saw Into the Wild would agree that she is a fine actress whose few minutes of screen time almost stole the movie. Of course, those of you that prefer CGI or the continual assault of surgically altered Hollywood fluff will always find fault with a real actor who is not interested in smiling for you.
