49 year-old tennis great John McEnroe still looks fit and attractive despite years of scowling, swearing and throwing sh*t. He was photographed on vacation in St. Barts with his second wife, musician Patty Smyth, (lead singer of 90s band Scandal) and one of their daughters. McEnroe is a father of six. He has two daughters and a step daughter with Patty and three children from his volatile relationship with his first wife, Tatum O’Neal.
The years have barely mellowed McEnroe, who is just as well know for his antics on court as his skills. I saw him play beloved German tennis legend Boris Becker in an exhibition match on TV last month. McEnroe threw a tennis ball at one of the judges, narrowly missing him. He went on to win the match, but he should have been disqualified for that.
McEnroe still plays a lot of tennis and also works as a TV analyst for the Tennis Channel and MSG. He says that his days of playing on the senior tennis circuit are numbered and that he plans to spend more time calling matches. It’s safe to say that McEnroe will remain on sports television and won’t cross over to regular TV. He had a talk show in 2004 on CNBC that was widely panned and failed miserably.
Thanks to Splash News for these pictures from Thursday.

He’s never been very good looking, and 49 isn’t really old. That scowl and the petulant manner just do nothing for me.

I have long held a dirty John McEnroe crush. It’s hard to find men in their 20s or 30s that have the v like “Apollo’s Belt” abs, let alone a 49 year-old. Hot.

Mac’s got a really dry sense of humour which makes him A-ok in my book, tantrums and all. Also, he and Boris are the best thing about Wimbledon. Best commentry ever!

I would totally hit that (old) ass. Maybe it’s his bad boy appeal.
