When I was reading through CB’s earlier post about Kendra, I noticed that CB accidentally used my real name, and she confused me with Kendra. What the hell…? Do you know how different I am from Kendra? Like apples and barely-functioning blogger oranges. Anyway, there’s more info about Kendra and the sex tape, and there’s even a new interview! In the cold transcript of the interview with E! (maybe?), Kendra seems kind of drama-queen. But in the video, I liked her statement more. She’s not pulling her hair out over the video, she just wishes it wasn’t coming out now:
Kendra Wilkinson hopes that people have the heart to “not press play” on her sex tape so that they can view her as a mom, not a porn star, she says in a sneak preview her E! show’s season finale.
Kendra’s sex tape was released Wednesday, along with an NSFW clip that can be seen for free on Vivid Entertainment’s website. It features her at 18 dancing nude and having sex with her high school boyfriend, Justin Frye, who recently sold the footage.
“I was just a normal girl living a normal life in San Diego, California, with my boyfriend who I was going to eventually marry,” Kendra said. “Of course we had sex like every couple does and every now and then we would videotape it. There’s a lot of couples who do that. At that time I wasn’t a celebrity. I didn’t even know I was going to become a celebrity.”
Now 24, Kendra is married to Hank Baskett and they have a baby son. She said she is angry at her ex for disrupting her family.
“It broke my heart because how can you do that when I have a baby?” she said. “I have a kid. I have a husband. It just sucks.”
Hank is standing by his wife as her sex tape goes public.
“He’s doing a good job because he’s understanding,” she said. “He’s like, ‘Kendra, we just have to hold our heads high because, yeah, we’re going to get attacked, but we can’t run. We have to hold hands and walk through this and face this fact.’ It’s going to be really hard. It’s going to probably be the hardest time of our lives.”

I know it sounds weird because I bash so many celebrities, but I’ve grown to like Kendra. I’ve watched a few episodes of her E! show, and she’s kind-of funny and cool. I’m not saying she’s a rocket scientist or anything, but she’s smarter than people give her credit for, and I do think she has a good heart. With so many of these faux-celebrities, I feel like they try to get attention by bashing other people (coughParisHiltonSpiedicough), but I like that Kendra is pretty much doing her own thing, and never really says anything about anyone else. My point? I do think she has genuine angst over this sex tape situation, and it’s not all about the money. She really hoped that part of her life was over. Just my opinion.

I like her too. All except that laugh.. But I am willing to bet she is going to make more then kim kardashin did with her sex tape. But unlike Kim I don’t think kendra had anything to do with releasing the tape. I think she is ashamed of it.

I totally agree with you! I like Kendra. I know there were statements made about how she tried to broker a deal for it to come out a couple of years ago, but that was before Hank and Hank Jr were in her life. I believe that she doesn’t want it to come out now, but I bet Hank supports her through this whole thing, I love them together!

I happened to see a screen shot from Kendra’s video today. I have to say, if anyone involved in this mess should be embarassed, it’s her sex tape partner. When I saw what he was packing, I actually laughed out loud! I hope he either has absolutely no dignity to destroy (very likely) or that he got paid a lot of money to pay for all the over compensating he’ll need to do in order to get over the comments that are already starting to pile up on blogs about his manhood.
Anyway, I like Kendra. I tend to think she did sell the tape knowing full well what she was doing. But, I don’t really care. She used to play with Hugh Hefner’s shuffle board for crying out loud. It’s not like she was exactly a virginal character before all this happened.
I’m not usually one to defend reality stars. But, I liked the girls next door and Kendra seems like she actually has a heart.

Sex tapes are so numerous these days, I honestly don’t think it’s that big a deal. I’m sure it sucks right now, but eventually the novelty will wear off and people will stop talking about it as more than a footnote in her life.

Kaiser, I’m sorry to break it to you but she is the mastermind behind this. She tried to sell the tapes last year and this is according to Tyler on wwtdd.

I used to hate Kendra when she was on The Girls Next Door cause she acted like such a DUMB ASS! She seemed so shallow and stupid. But then I started watching Kendra and she seems like a completely different person after having her son! She does seem like a genuinely caring person, who loves her son and husband to death. Can’t she sue Vivid? I work in marketing and we can’t use anybody’s photo without a signed release. Everyone has the right to control the use of their own image.

My family loves Kendra and Hank!! Its sad that when someone reaches a level that others can make money off of them how things change. Kenda, like most of us, probably has done things that we never anitcipate will come back to haunt us. But unlike most of us our things are not worth any money so we never have to deal with them publicly. As with all things of this nature, this ex may be a big shot now, but given that Kenda and Hank are pretty down to earth and well liked, he will look like the fool in the end.

I have to agree with Jane (comment #3), so many people make bad decisions at young ages without realizing that it can come back to bite them in the ass later on, even if later on is just a few years down the road.
She has completely turned her life around from her party-orientated, Playboy (not that being a playmate or anything of the like is necessarily wrong) ways to being a a wonderful wife to a loving husband and she now has a child.
She is a completely different person now then she was a few years ago, and that’s that.

@UMA – Kendra could have stopped the release of this tape if she REALLY wanted to. There are tons of people who have stopped sex tapes and nude pictures from being released.

I really like Kendra. I like her because she is herself and doesn’t care about what other people think about her. While she isn’t the brightest person, she isn’t a fame whore and is open about her life, both negative and positive aspects.
