They just don't have any heart anymore. The dress is just a symptom of trying way too hard. Every genre of music turns to shit directly before or after it goes mainstream, and it's pathetic that people are beating people up over this. The whole emo style is ridiculous. Other than the tight skinny jeans and eyeliner, everything else looks the same. Emo has been a music genre even before the emo style was even known. And I didn't see any of those bands dress that way. Personally, if you want to be emo a good place is Japan. I think that the Japanese have a similar dressing style for bands and the hair really reflects it, too. Check out bands like Luna Sea(which mind you, has been out for a very long time) and what not and you'll see. But I just think that the emo-bashing is stupid. People should grow up, too.
