Nick Lachey finally shaved off that overly-processed boy-bander hair! Yay! He looks pretty good, I think. Actually, he sort of looks brand-new. His eyes look brighter, and his head looks bigger. Do you think he cropped it short because he’s balding? It looks a bit thinner, but he’s still got a ways to go before he’s in Bruce Willis territory. Lachey claims he only shaved his precious highlighted boy-bander locks because he “just wanted a change.”
What’s the buzz? Nick Lachey debuted a new cropped cut at the 9th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in the Brentwood section of L.A. Friday night.
“I just wanted a change,” the former boy bander, 36, explained to UsMagazine.com. “I used to wear it short, and I have been in this business so long. and I got sick of it. I just decided to shave it.”
But it won’t be short for long.
“It’s slowly growing back!” Lachey told Us. The singer attended the fete with on-again girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo. Their summer plans?
“We are both working. I am doing True Beauty 2, and he has a single coming out in August,” Minnillo, 29, told Us. “In the middle of that, we are going to try and get away and take a mini summer vacation because why not? We are young, we don’t have kids, we like to travel and visit the family.”
Could their own kids be next?
“Of course, yeah,” Lachey told Us when asked if he wants to start a family one day. “Absolutely!”
For now, they are getting practice watching little bro Drew Lachey’s second child, Hudson, who was born on May 17. (Drew and his wife, Lea, also have a daughter Isabella, 4.)
“They don’t live in California anymore so we have to make an effort to go and visit them and see them, but when I’m there, I love to babysit!” Lachey told Us. “They don’t trust me very long with the new baby now.”
Minnillo tells Us she’d also like to see her beau on Glee. Admitted Lachey, “I’m not as avid an watcher as she is, but I went to a performing arts high school, so I always like to see the arts celebrated. It’s cool to see how popular that show is based on the kind of show it is.”

I really don’t understand what Nick’s hold-up is with getting hitched and having babies. It’s none of my business, but wasn’t that what he wanted when he was with Jessica Simpson? He wanted a traditional marriage and babies. And when they split, he walked right into another serious relationship with Vanessa, and yet… he seems reticent now. Once burned, twice shy? But good on him for changing up his look. Now he could pass for a dozen dudes a went to high-school with.

Nick looks like a Mr. Potato Head doll. Nice eyes but his head’s so big I think he needs hair to counterbalance the jaw. Dude, it’s time for some plugs.

Hmmm, I tend to think Vanessa might be the hold out on having babies. She seems desperate to be famous and a recognizable name. The only reason people write about her now is Nick, and he’s D-list with C-name recognition.
And to be honest, Nick and Vanessa’s relationship seems complacent but not that “stable” — it’s like they’re together because their used to each other and would get even less press if they broke up (remember theír split a year ago?). She doesn’t come off as very trustworthy so I wouldn’t be surprised if Nick had doubts about putting a ring on it.

I don’t think he’s balding, I think his hair is just super short right now. Hard to tell, but I agree that a bit more hair would balance out his jaw more.

I live in Cincinnati and he’s still a sweet guy. Nice as pie to be honest. However the hair looks dumb as hell. I miss his old locks.

There was a time period, around 2003, 2004, he was a commentator on ‘I Love the 80′s’, and he was muscular, tan, had thick dark hair, really white teeth, the cutest dimples, and was about 20 or 30 pounds lighter than he is now.
I’d like to see that again.

It’s just a hair cut! Hair plugs? Need eyes testing. I think this guy is going to have a good head of hair for a long time.
So he got into another serious long term relationship and that’s a bad thing? Hardly… though his choice is a little suspect. It’s well known he’s keen on the wife and kids idea, why do idiots keep asking him about it?

Its really depressing but both Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey looked their best by far during their married days. No matter how clueless JS might have been, they were seriously a cute and beautiful couple that I wish lasted…

oh yeah nick looks SOOOOOOOOO much better with his head shaved and it brings out the blue in his eyes more he needs to look like this from now on and he looks more filled out also since vanessa been feeding him nick looks better filled out rather than those washboards he used to have all in all the new look for nick lachey right on track
