Chris Brown thinks Europe is a country

Chris Brown was supposed to start his European tour this week, but the UK gave him a big fat “Not so much”. The UK refused Chris entry into the country, and thus, Chris had to cancel his big tour. Instead of having his press team release a statement about the tour cancellation and leaving it at that, Chris took to his Twitter and wrote (via Dlisted): “SORRY to all the fans in europe!!! my tour is cancelled, Im pretty sure yall know. my entry was denied in your country. i love you.SORRY!!” Yes, Chris thinks he was denied entry to the “country” of “Europe.” Here’s more from E! News:

Great Britain is officially Team Rihanna. Officials in the United Kingdom today announced that they have barred Chris Brown from entering the country for a concert due to his vicious 2009 attack on his former girlfriend.

“We reserve the right to refuse entry to the U.K. to anyone guilty of a serious criminal offence. Public safety is one of our primary concerns,” Britain’s Home Office said in a statement. “Each application to enter the U.K. is considered on its individual merits.”

Needless to say, Brown was found meritless.

“SORRY to all the fans in Europe!!! my tour is cancelled. Im pretty sure yall know. my entry was denied in your country. I love you. SORRY!!” Brown tweeted in a post that subsequently deleted in favor of an official statement from his publicist.

“Due to issues surrounding his work visa, the Ireland and United Kingdom leg of Chris Brown’s Fan Appreciation Tour has been postponed. Chris looks forward to performing for his fans abroad in the near future and thanks them for their continued support.”

Brown had been scheduled to perform in Glasgow, London and Manchester in the U.K., along with a stop in the Irish city of Cork. The 21-year-old R&B star remains on trash detail as part of his five-year probationary sentence following his guilty plea in the Rihanna assault case, Coincidentally, Rihanna was just in the U.K. last month for a string of concert dates. She didn’t have any problems with her visa.

[From E! News]

Chris Brown is a moron, that’s no secret. What could have been an educational experience in which Chris spent months and years building back the public’s confidence in him quickly turned into one of the worst, most self-pitying, pathetic “comeback” PR campaigns ever. But having the UK deny him entry? This sh-t is priceless. And Chris, forever the jackass, made it worse with his tweet. I wish America could deport Chris to the North Pole.

  3. ElizabethM says:

What an idiot. Doesn’t he know Europe is an awesome hair band from the 80’s???

How about we begin the final countdown on his 15 minutes….

  4. Sarah says:

so he’s stupid. That’s newsworthy? Really? I had a friend that thought there was 54 states in the US but that never made the news. lol.

  5. Mel says:

Its rare but I’m proud to be British right now.

Also the funniest story of of the day, who doesn’t love a bit of karma.

  6. Blaster says:

    Ha!

That’s nothing. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve heard/been told that I was wrong and “Africa” was a country.

    Classmate: “What’s Ethiopia like?”
Me: “Uhh, I really don’t know. Don’t really know much about it.”
Other Classmate: “Ugh, but you’re from Africa. You should know!”

  7. Ben says:

Haha I’m so proud of my country right now. Deniiiieeed.

  8. Melanie says:

I had a friend that once thought that the sun morphed into the moon at night. She thought this well into adulthood.

  9. ogechi says:

    hisssssssssssssssses a very long one

  10. a says:

    yikes!

  11. Oi says:

    So does Kellie Pickler.

@Blaster: Could that just have been an awkward conversation? Ethiopia is on the African continent, and maybe they were just looking for a vague comparison?

  12. Baluk says:

Don’t deport him to the North Pole…that’s here in Canada…and we don’t want him…Antarctica would be best.

  13. Kaiser says:

I just wanted to point out “kizzylove” to everyone. Everyone, meet a Chris Brown fan. Everyone, say goodbye to Kizzylove.

This is why we moderate comments.

  14. Nanea says:

Don’t even think of having Chris Brown deported to the North Pole!!!

Remember it’s the home of Santa Claus and the reindeers.

  15. Melinda says:

I wish we could deport him to the north pole too. He could make that stupid face that looks likes he is about to cry all the time and no one would have to look at it.

PS. YIKES @ kizzylove! that’s why I love this blog, that sh*t isn’t tollerated.

  16. gg says:

Okay they only mention the UK leg of his tour. What about the rest of continental Europe? I wanna hear he’s banned in all countries in Europe.

  17. Praise St. Angie! says:

while I have no doubt that he really is that stupid, I took his “tweet” as a trying-to-make-himself-look-less-pathetic kind of move.

he was banned from entering the UK, but the other European leg of his tour (the Europe “mainland”, if you will) was canceled due to lack of ticket sales. at least, that’s what I’ve read.

so, instead of having to admit that ticket sales were poor, he can just blame it on those big ol’ meanies in the UK.

and so, UK authorities, I salute you!

    EDIT: Goodbye, kizzylove!

  18. buckley says:

    awww…the sweet taste of comeuppance.

  19. MARKY MARK says:

What in the hell is up with KIZZYLOVE? Whole lotta hate and CAPS there..

  20. Q says:

I wouldn’t wish Chris Brown on anyone, least of all our neighbors to the north. I fear we’re stuck with him.

  21. AbbeyRoad says:

While I don’t agree at all with kizzylove’s sentiments, I wanted to perform a ministry of sorts and break his/her/it’s thought expression down so that it is grammatically correct.

“Kaiser, you’re a dumb ho. Just go and suck his d*** and shut the f*** up. Rihanna’s ugly ass deserved to get whipped.”

Commas are our friends, as are correct spelling and knowing how to turn “caps lock” off. These things make all the difference when trying to get our points across.

Say what you like about Kaiser, but “hoe” — a garden tool, if you check on it — simply isn’t applicable in this situation.

  22. original kate says:

mayvbe i’m being naive but why couldn’t he just skip the UK and tour the rest of europe? not everyone who goes to europe does so through the UK. i’m wondering if maybe his ticket sales were really low and that was a factor in cancelling the tour. as for his ignorance it doesn’s surprise me at all – what do you expect from a country that actually allows students to write papers in twitspeak?

  23. Fire says:

    Hi kizzylove – bye kizzylove!
Nice punctuation I might add! Seems like it might be 3 separate sentences, but alas, it’s not even one I guess. ;o) VERY surprised they used the right “you’re” though. Congrats!

    Hilarious, AbbeyRoad!

  24. Aura says:

The majority of people thinking that continents (such as Europe, Africa)are countries are from USA. Isn’t that surprising? (sarcasm)

  25. Persistent Cat says:

Why did the stupid article have to say that the UK was “Team Rhianna?” I know that E doesn’t really have an ace writing team but good Lord.

He is just so stupid. I thought he got rid of his Twitter account because he kept making himself look stupid.

  26. Kitten says:

Well done, UK. This doesn’t make up for the BP oil spill, though..
Given the grammatical errors in his comments, I think Chris Brown might be Kizzylove.

  27. ogechi says:

@kizzylove:It bothers me how few pple like u insult ladies and still good about it. That defines alot-especially one’s background. Do u think is normal? Just asking!

  28. Jeri says:

Sweet! So glad he is only fooling himself.

Kizzylove & Chris should get it on together, put all the loonies in one place so we can avoid em easier.

  29. Jazino says:

They have let Mike Tyson into the UK a number of times since his rape conviction, why then bar Chris Brown.

  30. Leticia says:

I think Kizzylove is really chris brown posting on this blog!

  31. snowball says:

Okay. I’m putting on my suit of armor because I know I’m going to get beaten up. I know Chris Brown has exacerbated his own situation by being a dumb fuck in general and giving the whole pity party for himself and whining and crying like the bitch that he is. His ticket sales have plummeted and he cries constantly about it being everyone’s fault but his.

    But.

People who have done worse things than he has have been freely roaming in and out of the UK, as Jazino pointed out. They’re letting Tiger Woods in for the British Open, I’m assuming, and he’s the scum of the earth (okay, not charged with a crime, but still).

Are they keeping him out because he’s a high-profile person who slapped around another high-profile person? If you or I did it, would be be banned? I’m seriously asking, since I don’t know the whole procedure, it’s been ages since I traveled abroad.

I am not in any way condoning violence against women and it pisses me off that I feel like I have to add that disclaimer, but I have to wonder if a misdemeanor for a regular person really would be enough to ban someone from traveling to the UK.

  32. tripmom says:

OK, embarrassing, but I thought that B.C. stood for “before cowboys” until I was about 14. Kermit said so on Muppet Babies, and no one ever told me anything to contradict it. They don’t talk a lot about christ in Hebrew school.

  33. Deja says:

    HAHAHA.

  34. Crash2GO2 says:

Is that ‘WHOPPED’ as in a ‘whopper of a lie’?

Seriously, that’s something you do with tennis balls, not something you threaten someone with. heehee

  35. Scarlet Vixen says:

@tripmom: That’s hilarious! I give you props for admitting it, too. 🙂

I also don’t wanna sound like I’m defending the kid, but…maybe he was just abbreviating his tweet? You only get so many characters, so maybe he just used the term “in your country” to keep his message short and feel like he’s addressing everyone?

  36. Dallas says:

Our (USA) lovely President thought the same thing!

  37. katyalia says:

@ snowball: Chris Brown was not planning to travel the UK on a tourist visa (which would apply for regular people). Rather he’d need a work visa which is subject to a whole different scrutiny by authorities.
The US did the same to Amy Winehouse a few years back due to her being a convicted drug felon.

  38. lucy2 says:

“I had a friend that once thought that the sun morphed into the moon at night.” Best thing I read all day. LOVE it!

I thought he deleted his twitter too, because everyone was being mean to him or something.
He’s proven himself repeatedly to be an idiot in many ways, so no benefit of the doubt with the Europe as a country thing.
Good for the UK for denying him! Plus now he will have more people to blame for his lack of success, since it’s NEVER his fault.

  39. zen says:

    lol@ Kaiser w/Kizzylove

^^this is why Im addicted to this site.

  40. gemmaa says:

lmao @ melanie whose friend thought the sun morphed into the moon at night!!!!!
GOOOOOOO Ireland and UK for denying visa. Actions have consequences no matter how much $$$$$ you have.

  41. Tia C says:

Of course he does! Is anyone REALLY surprised?

  42. Lindakie says:

Im not surprised at all. 95% of the US population think that Africa is a country. Please go claim your money From your grade 1 teachers.

  43. Iggles says:

    @ snowball:
I am not in any way condoning violence against women and it pisses me off that I feel like I have to add that disclaimer, but I have to wonder if a misdemeanor for a regular person really would be enough to ban someone from traveling to the UK.

I’ll suspend my belief that you’re not trolling to make two points:

    1) As part of his plea deal, Chris is now an ex-felon. So it’s not a misdemeanor.

    2) It’s a strawman argument when you say, ‘how come X is being treated this way when Y got less punishment for a similar or worse crime?’

In a perfect world everyone would face the same punishment for comparable crimes. Unfortunately our world isn’t perfect. However, that doesn’t mean we should let criminals off the hook to even things out. If two men commit murder and one gets set free because evidence was tampered with, should we let the other one go free too? You know, just to be “fair”?

  44. Ponytail says:

As far as I know, visas aren’t automatically granted and there is no right of appeal. In theory, the UK could grant visas to murderers and not give visas to singers whose audiences are known to get a little over-excited.
I’ve also known visas get turned out because the situation was dodgy AND the reason was coming into the country wasn’t deemed beneficial (for the UK and its citizens).
Having once been issued a visa and then had it revoked less than 24 hours later, I know there’s pretty much nothing you can do if a country doesn’t want you there. Think about those countried that won’t grant you visas if you’ve visited countries they consider hostile.

  45. buenavissta says:

Kaiser, you’re made of steel with a good sense of humour. Keep up the fine work!

  46. Jeri says:

I think the difference between Chris & other offenders is Chris doesn’t get it. He thinks he is the victim of everyone. Poor poor Chris. He continues to express his ignorance of any wrongdoing on his part, people are picking on him for no reason.

  47. Iris says:

Loving the comments here haha. Also, I was on perezhilton (don’t judge me) and saw a comment a “kizzy” posted on a post about Joran van der Sloo. He admitted to killing a woman in Peru. He was the suspect In the Natalee Holloway case, too.

kizzy said: “he’s hot i know he did something bad but i’m very attracted to him i wish we coukd date and work on his killing problems i wanna have sex with him”

kizzy needs therapy. but I guess abusive sociopaths need fangirls, too?

    http://perezhilton.com/2010-06-08-suspect-in-natalee-holloway-case-admits-to-killing-peruvian-woman

  48. d says:

I have no love for Brown, but maybe he just meant it generally, sort of like, “can’t make it to your country” w/o specifying the ‘in Europe’ part. The only reason I say this is because I’ve heard an otherwise intelligent person make a similar type of comment. It’s the type of throw-away, shorthannd, unthinking comment that will have people thinking you’re a doofus when you’re not. Still, he doesn’t seem to know how to handle himself properly. It’s kind of sad how he keeps messing up like some dumb teenage kid … he should just grow up/mature already. His mama (my baby can do no wrong) isn’t helping.

  49. Bonnie says:

So does that mean the UK will ban Charlie Sheen from entering? I mean he’s an abuser too.

  50. Ms. Linda says:

they have a lot of felon coming to the uk chris is talent and he will stand tall jay z is a felon and they let him come in and we know who is behind this that aright you’ll watch what happen because God got chris the reason that they said were lies like i say we know who is behind this they should have been told him that he was not welcome but like i say GOD got chris and the last laugh is the best laugh so you hater start laughing now because after you laugh we the teambreezy is going to laugh

  51. Ms. Linda says:

bonnie they going to give you a deaf ear they are scare of charlie sheen because charlie is going to get one of his cop freind they applaude this abuser he shot his girlfreind and beat and i say beat all of his wives but it alright for charlie to beat his women isay women chris had a fight with his x girlfreind one fight and he did not hit her 50 times if he would have she would be dead clown you just wants to say something fool hate on the more you hate the more he get bless

  52. Maritza says:

What he did was wrong but how long are people going to keep condemning him? He has said he is sorry many times, the guy is so young I’m sure he has learned his lesson. He is very talented, I think he deserves a break.

  53. mollination says:

Eh, considering he has toured Europe already and is aware that it consists of many “places” like the U.K. and Germany (shout out to the Bieb) I’m pretty sure he knows the difference. I think he meant like, to each individual person in Europe, “I was denied entry into your country” specifically. Like, if you live in the U.K., sorry I can’t come to do my European leg of my tour because I was denied entry into your country. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think he meant it the way it reads. He probably should have given it the once-over before clicking “enter”.

  54. Ruffian9 says:

ms linda why no punctuation or coherent thought in your post just wondering…

  55. viper says:

In the words of Mark Twain:

I was born intelligent, education ruined me.

However in the case of Brown and all his lot ( which is the majority of the soon to be next generation of hollywood )I’ll say and I’m sure Twain would agree:

They were born imbeciles, education never stood a chance.

  56. My2Cents says:

Yeah well from what I’ve seen a lot of Americans dont know a lot about other countries apart from their own.
I think this reflect more on the American schooling system rather than Chris.

  57. Camille says:

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Couldn’t have happened to a ‘nicer’ guy. Best story of the day by far 😀

  58. lu says:

Yeah Kitten #26, the UK is solely responsible for the oil spill – join Chris in the dumb club.

  59. Tarna says:

When I mentioned to some friends I was moving to New Mexico they asked why was I leaving the country? 🙂

  60. Emily says:

they have a lot of troll coming to the celebitchy site kizzylove is banned but they let the Ms Linda in to post but we know who is behind this god is with the kizzylove and they will have the last laugh when you stop laughing they’ll keep laughing and have the last laugh is say GOD is with the kizzylove all you haters can hate all you want we be laughing last and uh…

F*ck that hurt to write. How do those trolls do it??

  61. Orbit says:

Good for the UK. He’s not the least bit contrite.

  62. Orbit says:

“I think this reflect more on the American schooling system rather than Chris.”

With our outmoded notions of subject/verb agreement.

  63. God's Property says:

What would Jesus do? What if we were never forgiven and/or given a 2nd,3rd, etc, chance. God says to forgive as I have forgiven you, up to 70 x 7. (I’m paraphasing). I know there are consequences to every action, and he’s paying. But there comes a time when Chris should be able to recover and move on. How would you feel if you had to pay the rest of your life?

  64. Iggles says:

    @ Maritza:
What he did was wrong but how long are people going to keep condemning him? He has said he is sorry many times, the guy is so young I’m sure he has learned his lesson. He is very talented, I think he deserves a break.

Sorry doesn’t cut it. Especially since we know he’s only “sorry” that he got caught. “Sorry” doesn’t erase the pain he caused or the malice of his actions.

And its clear that being “sorry” hasn’t erased his arrogance or unwarranted sense of entitlement (e.g., the attitude of I said I was sorry, so play my damn records!).

This guy is getting his just desserts. Really, couldn’t have happened to a nice guy..

  65. CB Rawks says:

May I remind the psychos that are Team Chris that he BIT the girl’s hands.
He sunk his teeth into her.
Go ahead and try to stay on his side. What’s a little mastication between friends?

  66. viper says:

    @Rawks

You’re trying to reason with people who have their heads up their own butts. There is no reasoning with buttholes.

  67. canadianchick says:

Haha, but please not the North Pole, we don’t want him. South Pole has the cute penguins, they don’t want him either. Way to go visa officers in the UK, and please keep out Charlie Sheen and Jay-Z too. Kaiser thanks for banning the wingnut, take yourself for a pedi annd enjoy the day.

  68. Praise St. Angie! says:

“there is no reasoning with buttholes”.

    that was hilarious!

to Iggles…just to add to what you wrote, the “sorry” that he issued has never been “I’m sorry for what I did” but more along the lines of “I’m sorry for WHAT HAPPENED”, as if he had no (or limited) involvement.

I still don’t see him as taking responsibility for what he did.

  69. Oons says:

I am so pleased to hear this. I am an Irish woman, who is a mother of 2 daughters, and I was appalled to think he would be playing a gig. There would be a lot of young girls there and I don’t think it’s ok for them to be around someone who thinks it’s ok to beat up your girlfriend as long as you say “sorry”. He doesn’t ever seem to mean it either.
Girls need to be reminded that his behaviour is unacceptable. We shouldn’t tolerate it, under any circumstances!!
I have also banned Two and a half men from my house. I plan on raising women who value themselves.

  70. Michelle says:

As if the rest of america is any smarter!? In my experience most americans barely know anything about their own country. Even your politicians are ignoramuses..eg sara palin. She thinks africa is a country. I luv chris brown’s music and i really don’t care that he beat rihanna. She got over it. Why can’t you??

  71. ViktoryGin says:

    LMAO @ Kaiser

Kizzylove’s vitriolic buffoonery is par for course on “urban” blogs, hence the reason that I no longer leave comments on them. Most of the people who comment are vapid idiots who are just dukeing it out for who can throw the most expletives. Kudos to CB.

While Brown obviously is no Rhodes scholar, I think that his commment was more an issue of haste than ignorance. What is virtually indisputable, however, is that he fucked himself over royally. Live and learn.

    @ Michelle

Seems to me that it’s you who is the ignoramus.

  72. ogechi says:

‘I luv chris brown’s music and i really don’t care that he beat rihanna. She got over it. Why can’t you??’

@Michelle:Really?? Who said that Rihanna has gotten over it? Have u seen her recent interview? I am a lady and i know the pains and trauma a woman goes through whenever she is physically abused. I am shocked that u are ok with that & I truly feel sorry for those of u who encourage abuse. All I am saying is – Stop Violence against women.

  73. Michelle says:

Seriously..how does that make me an ignoramus? She has said she forgives him. Obviously she is still affected by it but that does not mean that we should continue to call him names. I don’t see you doing the same to other famous women batterers.

  74. GatsbyGal says:

This is fucking epic news. Just when you thought Chris Brown was as done as he could get, he gets done-er. Hahahahaha.

  75. Slymm27 says:

So how long are you all going to hold on to this pain for Rihanna? Damn, its been over a year, the guy has apologised. Some of you just love to hate on people, i guess it gives you something to do.

  76. rundee says:

à pro pos being an uneducated dumbass. y´all probably already seen it, but I´ll post it anyway, ´cause it´s hilarious:
