Last night was the big third season premiere red carpet event for True Blood, and all of the stars and their significant others showed up. Even Alexander Skarsgard’s lady, Kate Bosworth, although in a strange move, Kate and Alex did not walk the red carpet together. Over the past few months, neither has seemed that perturbed by people taking their photo together, but as of yet, they have never walked a red carpet together. What does this mean?!? Does it mean that Alex doesn’t want people to know they’re together? That they’re trying to make some kind of Gwyneth-and-Chris, Garner-and-Affleck kind of point about not walking the red carpet? Because you know it was probably killing Kate. She loves to pose for photos, and you know she wanted to rub her smug face all over Alex in front of the cameras. I think it’s his move, don’t you? He was like, “Baby, why don’t you stay home tonight? No? Okay, well, I’m going to go off and do my own thing on the carpet.”
LaineyGossip says it’s a good move for Kate though – that now, Kate is officially “the girlfriend”. And my crush is officially gone now. Of course, my crush was pretty much over when these photos came out – of Kate and Alex in Palm Springs, with Kate posing her bony ass off for the paps. Yeah… that’s the sound of a crush dying. Oh, and Kate’s dress sucks too.
My friend was at the premiere last night and I texted him to try and get a pic of the Skaarsgard.
He didn’t but he did say he has weird upper teeth. He called them skeleton teeth.
The man can’t be complete perfection can he?

They both have such pretty eyes! My roommate in college had a brown spot in one of her blue eyes too, but it wasn’t as noticeable as Kate’s.

And I can’t wait for the premier of True Blood! I’m watching the whole series On Demand before Sunday.
It’s his show. Kate hasn’t been relevant since Blue Crush, and he probably didn’t want her throwing shade on him with her desperation. Honestly, he and his people can’t be immune to the hordes of detractors (Yours Truly, included) out there that can’t stand Bosworth. She’s cramping his style. I’m not a fanatical Skarsgard fan, but I’ve thought that Bosworth was a waste of red carpet space ever since her “Young Americans” days, circa 2000. Remember that show?
I love the Skars too, but GD the Bos sucks the hot right out of him. He needs to raise the bar.

Ha, it’s good not to be alone in the Bosworth-despair at least. I think she’s sucking the hotness out of him too and am praying that it’s just a phase for him (embarrasing, I know..) It boggles me why he’s with her if he doesn’t want to walk the carpet with her or even just confirm that they’re an item. Too odd.
She annoys me, and is definitely making him less crush-worthy.

All I know is – many people don’t walk the red carpet together — Rutina Wesley never appears with her husband in any of the True Blood photos – and they’re both actors, too.

I’m convinced she’s got some kind of witchy spell on him, all he has to do is look into those freaky eyes of hers and he says, dazedly, “Why no Kate, I don’t think you’re a famewhore.” But not cursed Alex totally thinks she is and someday the spell will be broken and he will date someone with class and talent. Amen.
I think it is a smart move on their part not to post together on the red carpet. It is the new in thing in hollywood. Kind of like they are at work and working no time for making out on the carpet or promoting their private life. I think it makes couples more professional who do this. But just me.

She was his big power move in Hollywood (because she’s been around a while, and he’s brand new) and he chose…incorrectly. Because at this point he HAS to be painfully aware that she is killing his hotness- a girlfriend always kills a little of the hotness, but a despised girlfriend can kill it dead.
She hasn’t had a good review since “Blue Crush” (2002), or a big hit since “Superman Returns” (2006), in which she was universally panned. Her last film was “21” (2008) which did a pretty decent box office ($81million) but has a Rotten Tomato top critic score of 26%- and she had fourth billing on the film. And apparently she was making a huge play for the taken Jim Sturgess during the filming.
So he’s hitched his rising star to a starlet who hasn’t had a film in 2 years, a hit in 4, and a starring role in 8… who’s helping who?

Bosworth and Skarsgard are in a remake of Straw Dogs together, so I except the sightings of them will get more frequent as the film’s release date nears.

I think we’ll see this all the way until Straw Dogs comes out too. It’ll probably flop and then hopefully she’ll move on to her next victim.
