All immensely rich celebrities should be ashamed of themselves if they’re not putting some major bucks back into U.S. social programs. They got where they are because of the U.S. and should “pay their dues” back to her. Right now commercial airlines (the ones us “regular folk” use) are upping their prices, in part to pay for air traffic control fees because they are 90% responsible for the fees. Meaning, people like B&A who use private jets are tooling around by virtue of our hard earned dollars practically for free. Now who do you think could better afford those fees? And they don’t do anything for the U.S., except the highly publicized and visible Katrina issues (and they live there now, so they’d better do something about that).

Sorry, but it’s quite likely that they (and most celebrities) do the charitable things they do (1) for good press and (2) to alleviate the guilt that they should quite properly feel instead.

and why does she HAVE TO excuse her actions? can you excuse the silly stuff you did when you had your first crush? or the bullying in school? no one can excuse human feelings, they come with being human, you know?

Carrying a small vile of her significant other’s blood around her neck, and having a artist paint pictures with her and billy bob’s blood is some of the crazy stuff that angelina has admitted to. Normal people don’t do things like that and there is no excusing these actions with any type of logic. It seems like she has changed her life for the better, but we all know you can’t change the past and peoples’ perception of past actions.

Its ironic to me that the haters think they are morally superior to Angelina who they believe is an evil witch due to her past ‘sins’. But here’s the thing, we don’t really know what is and isn’t true about Ange – its all conjecture, speculation, gossip, half-trues and outright lies.

What we do know however, is that Lucy herself has told us she’s happy a pregnant woman has diabetes. So I ask you, who are we certain is the evil witch here?

And I’m a little over the bad karma argument. Its trite and unimaginative. Bad luck befalls everyone at some time. It doesn’t take any intelligence or compassion or insight to point the finger and shout ‘bad karma’. It just makes you an asshole.

Good point, Mairead. I know I shouldn’t waste the time and energy on trying to argue with crazies, but sometimes I just can’t help it. I think I have argued with this chick before; I think she was using another alter-ego at that time.

Much as I’d really love to, there’s just no point in arguing with Lucy on this issue (or indeed her alter ego Marietta). We all know full well that if these two announced they were joining the Scientologists tomorrow, Lucy would soon “grudgingly accept” and eventually attack us for “insulting” the children, much like we’re reported to have done to Suri Cruise (apologies if that isn’t one of your stichks Lucy, but the common syntax the Scientologists who come here is confusing for the Repressives).

If their PRs are using their actions to drum up good publicity then.. durrrrrr… isn’t that the point of PR? No point going rapidly broke on useless companies eh?

Good PR people, say I! get their names and pass them on to LiLo and Britters. Hell even Avril Levigne – perhaps pretending to care about others will become habit-forming and the girl will stop being so noxious?

if angelina is all about the money, she would have made one blockbuster after the other, said yes to every playboy offer and saved all the cash for herself. but she started a family and gives millions to charity. think about it. money comes with fame, why use it against her?

Alright, Miss Lucy, I also would like to respond to some of your little points.

First, the whole PR machine argument is so common and overplayed. Can’t you come up with something better for all of us to argue about? If a celeb tries to do something good for those who are less fortunate, they are only doing it to make themselves look better. If a celeb has 3 35 million dollar mansions and 27 Bentleys, they are a selfish prick who should give some $$ to charity. Such a boring discussion, and just a vicious cycle.

Personally I never thought that ‘St. Angelina’ (your term, not mine) was going to cause angels to descend, manna to drop from the sky or guns to turn into flowers by her very presence. However, by traveling to war-torn and impoverished countries she’s bringing attention (be it positive or negative, it doesn’t really matter) to a situation that can be bettered. Of course, we could just sit on our asses and bitch about all the shitty things that are happening in the world, that always seems to help…

Since when did an actor or performer have to give us all the details of their personal lives? Since when are they answerable to us? And I am confused; one minute you facetiously indicate you don’t care about AJ’s pregnancy/birth, then you seem to be annoyed that she hasn’t told us all in no uncertain terms that’s she’s preggo again.

Finally, this. Really. Lets just attack someone for being a fucking nice person? Does that really make sense? And the worst of it is the rudeness about the kid. God knows kids are shitty enough these days, it’s so nice to hear about children actually caring about other people (Nice spelling, btw) and doing something kind, whether it was at his parents’ urging or not. If so, seems like good parenting to me. When I read that post, the majority of commenters where touched and (including myself) had visited that site, and were discussing sending things to the troops. Oh, how horrible! It must all be for PR, yeah, that’s why I spent $50 that I really don’t have to spend on someone I never met. I did it because it made me feel good, and it’s the right thing to do. The last thing is, I would like some proof that this is all spin. Can you prove it? Of course not, and I can’t prove it’s not. So maybe we should focus a little, tiny bit more on ourselves. In the end, our feelings about AJ, BP or any other celebrity means FUCK ALL.

I do agree with Lucy that their PR people plant stories out there I have a vibe that AJ brother leaks alot of the more gossip’er stories about their private life . Its all about the $$$ and keeping your name&face out there their livelyhood and lifetstyle depends on you the movie buying public. How interested you are in them and wiling to pay money into their pockets, Look at how Tom Cruise is hussleing right now to have a hit movie.
This is all very carefully planned PR stuff. Surpriseing how they get married have a baby at just the timeing of a new movie, project etc.
