  1. Of all the many many descriptions I can think of for this girl, “feminist hero” is just not among them.

  2. I think the entire NY Times article was supposed to be sarcastic. Of course Heidi isn’t a feminist… anything. C’mon now!

  3. yeah they didn’t say she was they said she was ALMOST LIKE a feminist hero. they weren’t being serious. they were basically saying… if anything - compared to what she’s surrounded by she’s almost like a feminist hero. People are so stupid.

  5. this author is notorious for pointing out the dumbest possible feminist icons to prove that feminism is dead. and please - heidi, if she were a feminist, is way too second wave to like hooks. friedan is dated enough to be plausible.

  6. RC the point there was that Heidi wouldn’t know who any of those women are in the first place. Because she’s neither a feminist nor intelligent.

  9. Yeah, I think the “I’ll have to get back to you” quote sums it up perfectly. You don’t have to be a hardcore academic to come up with a few women you respect on the spot. Even one name! What a moron.

  11. ““Spencer was ecstatic,” says Heidi. “He’s proud of whatever I do.””

That implies that neither of them really know what she does. Hee :D

  12. Why did Spencer have to call a friend? Is he not rich/cool enough to have an iPhone? Cause THATS what really matters to me :eyeroll:
