$1000 are you kidding me? Peta is an organization that spends millions (thats not a typo, yes I said millions) on advertisements that are not even affective because theyre so controversial, infact I think that they hurt the cause instead of helping it! I am an animal supporter & am against the butchering of ALL animals for financial gain but I strongly believe that Peta & especially Ingrid like the attention (not the good kind) over the well being of animals. I doubt Britney will take on their offer.

Likewise, I think it’s a nice (famewhorey) gesture, but my god that letter wants me to get my red pen out.

When one is extending an invitation for someone who doesn’t know which end is up to do something, the tone should be more informative to the point of cajoling - basically say “you could” instead of “you will”

I’m not anti-PETA in that I think their anti-fur stance is correct. American mink is an invasive species here in Europe, causing so much devastation to local biodiversity and indeed pets. I’m sure mink serves an important role in riverine biodiversity in America, but the numbers required for coats is way and above what is sustainable and desirable in any area.

And bluntly - while there could be a practical reason for fur in the middle of Moscow in December - there’s fuck all justification for it in California or Spain.

Celebs REALLY need to stop supporting these butchers. “I’d rather go naked than wear fur!” HAH! But butchering THOUSANDS of adoptable pets and throwing them into fast food dumpsters is alright? Yeah, PETA really cares about animals.

They’re definitely not my favorite organization, but I like that they took a positive, more pro-active approach than just throwing red paint on someone for once.
