I am conflicted about this, because in a way I wish that I had it recorded for posterity - not the nasty bits, just the actual moment when he came out. In another way it would make me uncomfortable to watch it. I mean my damn wedding video makes me uncomfortable because it was such an emotional moment. So AC you are right.

Taping the birth is one thing. But can’t you tape it from an angle where you see the baby coming out but you don’t see all the nasty parts? I don’t want to say that its revolting or disgusting, its natural… but I don’t need it RECORDED. I’d want the birth of my kid recorded… not the destruction of my “beautiful vulva” tehe.

I let my husband tape the labor for a little while, but then I said no taping the birth and he was helping me at that point anyway.

That is nasty xiao, I didn’t know he said that! That’s such a weird thing to say.

my husband was not allowed to look “down there” when I was in labor, much less make a video! A neighbor of mine once shoved her birth photos in my face–I didn’t know where to look! what’s next? conception video? Poor kid!
