Ladies and gentlemen, get ready to clutch your pearls. Chris Klein, star of American Pie and current has-been (also known for her relationship with Katie Holmes way back in 2004-ish, and God knows, he’s a rumored candidate for little Suri’s paternity), was arrested this morning for DUI after failing a sobriety test in LA. This didn’t strike me as surprising for some reason, but then I just figured out that it’s because of the déjà vu – Chris had another DUI in 2005. For f-ck’s sake, people, just call a f-cking cab!
TMZ has learned Chris Klein — who played Oz in “American Pie” — was arrested early this morning on suspicion of DUI.
Law enforcement sources tell us a CHP officer stopped Klein on the 101 freeway in Los Angeles at 3:13AM.
31-year-old Klein was arrested after failing a field sobriety test, we’re told.
According to the police report, Klein was “observed weaving from the #3 lane into the #2 and #4 lane westbound US 101 at Woodman Ave.”
The report notes that Klein did not resist the resist.

Here’s something I’ll never understand – if you’re drunk off your ass, why do you agree to do a sobriety test? When the cop is like, “I think I smell alcohol on your breath, mind stepping out of the car?” why don’t people just say, “Nah, arrest me on suspicion of DUI, I’m too drunk to get out of the car.” Also – I’d be willing to bet that Chris was under the influence of a lot more than alcohol. This guy looks very odd. Like there’s too much face on his face. Too much surface skin or something. Maybe it’s the eye-to-other feature ratio that’s off, but he’s a weird looking dude.

One DUI is a really bad, really stupid mistake. Doing it again after being caught and suffering the consequences is a careless disregard for your life and the lives of others on the road, and a clear problem. Hope he gets help before he hurts himself or someone else.

think the odd looking face may be due to some bad plastic surgery. i’m one of those weird conspiracy theorists who thought that suri was born with chris’ squinty eyes. first suri lost hers, grew out of them, or heaven forbid, xenu magically made them disappear. now chris doesn’t have his squinty eyes either.
wouldn’t put it past tom to pay for surgery to desquint chris’ eyes, just so people couldn’t say there was ever a resemblance between the two. and being a diabolical xenu-fiend, tom probably paid the doc to do a really bad job on the plastic surgery! hence the weird face!

It sounds like he was coming home from WeHo or Hollywood to the Valley (Encino?). That’s a long, expensive cab ride. Even if you have funds, the temptation to drive yourself is too great.
If he was on five years’ probation after his 2005 DUI, he might have violated his probation. ‘Course, he’ll only get a stern talking-to.
@Kitty2000, this is one of my fav videos. I love mamma mia, and say what you will about the sleezy britt who plays Sky (love you Dominic), he can sing-especially compared to Chris. However, if i’m having a bad day this video always cheers me back up!
that being said, how stupid must one be? Especially one who generally stays out of the limelight (whether by choice or because he was a one note wonder with American Pie)
Just did a quick look up – he probably got 3-5 years probation, and had the first DUI in April 05, which means he probably just cleared violating it even if he got the maximum. Still, total dumbass. Now that this is his second offense, all the penalties go up, and he could (and should) lose his license for 2 years.
If he thought it was too far to take a cab, he shouldn’t have been drinking at all. Especially already having one strike, it is incredibly stupid to do it again.
I don’t see any resemblance at all, Suri does not look like Chris Klein, she looks more like Kate and Tom. Where is the proof that says Tom is sterile?
Refusing the Breathilizer is automatic loose your license for 1 year as opposed to 3 months or so depending on laws in your area, however, multiple DUIs are another thing altogether. They can do pretty much anything to you license wise & confinement wise.

Wow, I couldn’t even watch too much of that video, he’s scary coked out. I was embarrassed for him watching that. I kind of feel sorry for him. Hope he gets some help. He’s obviously on a self-destructive streak.
What is with all the folks thinking he fathered Suri Cruise? That is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard. Suri looks JUST like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, a perfect half and half mix.
OK, prosecutor here: refusing a breathalizer or a field sobriety test carries a mandatory one year suspension of your license and a fine of up to $1000. Being convicted of DUI, on the other hand, usually carries a loss of license of 3-6 months, a $500 fine, and some probation/alcohol education classes. A lot of defendants try to get clever about refusing all of the sobriety tests, and they always get their asses nailed to the wall.
