When did Jennifer Lopez become Eva Longoria?

wenn5498787

It’s an obvious question, and I’m surprised it didn’t come to me before. Slowly but surely, Jennifer Lopez has become Eva Longoria. You know what I mean - J.Lo is now the person event planners call when they want someone with a “name” and little else to walk their red carpet. Jennifer now shows up to the opening of any envelope. She wanders around the globe, walking red carpets with her mouth hanging open in that way she thinks is sexy (ooh… she’s making an effort to close her mouth in these photos!). And she brings Marc Anthony along as her purse holder most of the time. Plus, for last night’s appearance at the Four Seasons of Hope Gala (the white dress), Jennifer’s dress was… not good. It’s like the worse her “career” is going, the worse her fashion choices.

Oh, and remember Jennifer’s WTF dancing appearance with Tom Cruise at the MTV Movie Awards? Jennifer wasn’t asked to sing, she wasn’t asked to present, she was just asked to dance with Tom. That’s where her career is. Jennifer told Access Hollywood a few days ago that: “It was so fun working with him, Tom is a riot. He’s so positive, he’s such an amazing artist… He had a lot to learn for that and it was hard for him, but he was always with a big smile on his face. He’s just an amazing person, he really is one of the most special people that you could ever meet and it was an honor for me to work with him.” What is about Tom Cruise that makes women answer questions with the robotic repetition of “amazing”?

Jennifer’s dress at an event at the Apollo two nights ago wasn’t horrible, actually. I do kind of like it, even though the hair is strange.

  1. WTF is up w/ that white mess of a dress? And those things impaling her? In the bronze (?) dress pic, she has Beyonce hair.

  2. Both outfits look great on her, she and Marc look very happy together. There is a the difference, Eva and Parker are hardly ever together.

  3. um, what is marc wearing in the photo where she has on the gold dress? damn.

i think that grey dress might have worked on someone else - im thinking halle berry - but its too much on j.lo’s fabulously tacky ass - with the hair, the big jewelry, the sparkle bag, the HAIR

in the gold dress, something about her head is different. the face? the hair? cant put my finger on it.

  4. also, i think jlo is waayyy hotter than longoria and a much better celeb than eva’s boring ass.

  5. Jennifer cannot draw people to her movies anymore and sell can no longer sell records. I’m not sure how her fashion lines are doing, does she still have a fashion line? If so, she is no longer a draw.

  6. that’s definitely a lace front on her head. her hairline is disappearing from all the extensions.

both she & eva need to fade into obsurity & stop trying so damn hard to be relevant.

  7. Mh, I quite like the white dress (except those two rings) but it looks painful to wear.

  9. Jennifer Lopez looks beautiful in those outfits. She and hubby look happier and well settled, can’t we applaud good marriages at least, instead of sounding unhappy ourselves when some people are happy with their lives? Am glad that she can still dance, and pple were happy. So what is her crime?

Jennifer Lopez will also be on CNN Connect which airs on CNN International tonight at 2100. So u see? we can do nothing to stop her. Love Jlo and she should continue to sail on while some are biting their fingers.

  13. @ maya -

At least one of her fashion lines (I think it’s Sweetface, the most expensive one where she uses real fur) went out of business. I’m not sure about the other(s?).

  14. She’s more like Kate Beckinsale…that chick is never in anything anymore, but she’s on every red carpet waaaaaay overdressed.

The white dress looks terrible…like toilet paper…oh and it’s a bit small..those little gold things are digging into her stomach.

The gold dress from yesterday was FANTASTIC though.

  17. JLO looks good in white usually, but that gown is a mess, IMO. The things jabbing her just make the whole contraption look very uncomfortable. The gold is a bit too Beyonce-ish but she does look good in it.
I think, given her recent box office and music flops, she’s trying really hard to stay relevant, and thinks being on every red carpet keeps her in the spot light. I don’t really care for her, but I do find her less annoying and far prettier than Eva Longoria.

  18. The white dress looks like it was pulled straight out of a box and put on.

Wow, J-Lo. It’s come to this.

  20. I don’t like the gold dres,s mainly because it “wings” at the boobs. Tha’ts always driven me crazy, minus that though i like it.

  21. She looks really weird in that second pic, like a wax dummy. Her face looks like it has been painted on!

And yes, she is totally the *new* Eva L-P!

  22. @ Ogechi

Just because they haven’t headed for Splitsville doesn’t immediately mean that they have a good marriage. I’m not implying that they don’t, but “together” doesn’t mean “good”, though I realize that that’s a hard concept for you to digest.

Alas, no one is “stopping her”. Her marginal talent is doing a fine job by itself.

Anyway, I saw the gold dress on a different site, and I absolutely love it!

  23. Lol at everyone who mentioned Beyonce! My first thought when I saw the pic in the gold dress was “damn, is it just me or did she just magically turn into Beyonce?”

Perhaps she’s trying to channel someone with a more active career.

  24. She is always around now and it’s a bit much. And why is she constantly wearing 6 inch heels with 2 inch platforms? Without them she looks 5f3 petite, she ain’t fooling anyone.

What is up with J Lo’s face in the gold dress?
