Lindsay Lohan: “The lies that get created are damaging to my career”

Would you like to know how trashy Lindsay Lohan is? She gave a new exclusive interview to Star Magazine. It’s that bad. Usually, the family Lohan seems to prefer Radar for their exclusive statements, but every now and then they’ll luck out and get a quote in Us Weekly or People. But this isn’t even just a statement – it’s an actual interview. Guess what our sober crackhead is talking about? How she’s never had anything to drink, ever, and all of these “lies” are destroying her career. Oh, you dumb milkaholic.

In her first interview since being forced to wear a SCRAM bracelet, and less than two weeks after the booze monitor detected her consumption of a “small amount of alcohol,” Lindsay Lohan speaks out to Star exclusively about leaving her addiction behind and getting her career back on track.

“Enough is enough,” the frustrated starlet says in our June 28 issue. “People should just leave me alone and let me live.”

The hard-partying star particularly wants to refute any notion that she’s fallen off the wagon since Star broke the news that the SCRAM went off in the early hours of June 7 while she was partying at Katy Perry’s post-MTV Movie Awards bash.

“I haven’t touched any alcohol or anything of the sort,” she insists. Adding: “The lies that get created [are] damaging to my career.”

Although Lindsay, who is working to get financial backing for her make-or-break role in Inferno playing porn star Linda Lovelace, is adamant that she’s been playing it straight since she was fitted with the bracelet on May 24, she’s certainly put herself in the way of temptation by hitting the Hollywood party scene hard.

“It’s a constant struggle for her to stay sober, one that she faces every day,” an insider reveals in the article.

For the full story and complete interview with Lindsay — as well as others close to her who are in the know — pick up the June 28 issue of Star today.

Yes, perhaps some of us would be willing to give Lindsay the benefit of the doubt – after all, it’s not like we’ve never heard of something having a technical malfunction, and I’d be willing to bet those SCRAM bracelets aren’t 100% accurate. Except no one is in the mood for it anymore. After years of Lindsay’s cracked out lies, where she’s always the poor, innocent victim in an unjust world full of conspirators, crack heads and haters who make it their life’s mission to destroy her, many of us are over it. Many us great each new story, each new interview, each new shenanigan with a simple, “Let’s see what this f-cking lying crackhead is up to today.”

While attempting to clean up her reckless party animal ways and steer clear of all drug use, actress Lindsay Lohan, appearing plumped and bloated while shopping in Beverly Hills on June 10, 2010, looks now to be struggling terribly with a roller coaster of side effects on her weight! Lindsay Lohan doesn't let her SCRAM bracelet get in the way of a good night out!. The apparently bra-less young actress was spotted leaving the HWood club very early Sunday morning, getting into her car clutching a Lo Carb Monster Energy drink - slogan Unleash the Beast! - and being driven off into the night. the only thing damaging to her career is her.

  2. Praise St. Angie! says:

no, honey, it’s not the lies.

    IT’S YOUR BEHAVIOR.

but as usual, NOTHING is her fault, SHE’S always the victim…poor widdle thing.

and really, an interview with Star magazine? how the mighty (not) have fallen.

  3. hstl1 says:

    What career??!

  4. lem says:

i’m not defending her or her antics, but i don’t believe that 100% of the things the media prints/says about her are true. I can understand how she is frustrated that there are untrue things that are being printed. however, it is her own fault that she has lived her life in such a way that makes all of the made up stuff totally believable.
sadly for her, now that she seems to be actually trying to clean up (how many of your are actual addicts and know exactly how hard it is to break an addiction?? give her a little slack. she slipped once and that’s it so far), the false stories that *may* be being printed are still no less believable. if she thinks getting sober is going to be hard, she’s in for a real treat if she ever truly tries to repair her hollywood reputation.

  5. Ron says:

Then stay home for a change and read a book and don’t play into them. Comment’s like this only feed into the image that you are a brainless, drug addled, party bitch who wants no responsibility for where she is right now. You used to be a decent actress now all you are is a washed up bag of excuses. Woman up and fix it.

  6. denise says:

    btw

those sunglasses only look good on geriatrics……

    after eye surgery.

  7. mr. stinky fishface says:

Every time I see her all I can think of is “Man she looks like she smells.”

  8. d says:

when she says she just wants to be left alone to live her life, all I can think is that to her, that means she wants to be left to party and drink and no one pick on her for that. i didn’t think she meant she wants to be left alone to work or do anything normal. People should leave her alone, maybe she’ll wake up when she realizes she’ll have no one to blame but herself.

  9. Schnauzers!!!! says:

    Don’t forget she’s JUST A CHILD…according to her friend/enabler..er..mother.

  10. lucy2 says:

She might as well wear a t-shirt that says “It’s everyone else’s fault, not mine.”

Star must have offered some cash for the interview. And I have to laugh that she’s complaining about false stories…to Star Mag.

  11. Electric says:

the lies are not nearly as damaging as the truth

  12. teehee says:

Even if what she were saying IS true: then why is this sort of thing only happening to her.
Surely there are tons of celebs out ther that could be brought down career wise by all teh media — but take as an example Breangelina. Seems press isnt doing anythign to harm their careers. And all these other celebs who are outright defamed by the tabloid stories– yet they keep getting major box office hits and lead roles.
    So.
And, there are a ton of ‘celebs’ who arewere rather clearly on something, but they too arent fairing as poorly as Lohan in terms of their career.
    So.
What would make us believe that somehow those rather vague and haunting “lies”– about whatever, whoever, and however– are harming her career? What lies, exactly?
And those who dont have anythign to be guilty about, typically arent saying anythign about “it” all the time. Ie, trying to bat off the “lies”. Theyre too busy leading their own productive lives to care about nonsense that isnt true.
She seems to really care about this stuff….

    ….Girls got somethign to hide.

  13. Ogechi says:

Its my opinion: I just think we are so so and extremely judgmental/harsh on this girl. I know she is an egghead, but we should be given a chance. (Not a fan though). She has a career!

  14. jules says:

    She’s just now noticing?

  15. M says:

More like, you damaged your own career.

  16. Novaraen says:

Lindsay hasn’t been sober since she filmed The Parent Trap.

Girl continues to pop prescription pills while wearing that scram…so no sobriety there.

Stop blaming everyone else for your shoddy messed up trainwreck of a life.

  17. normade says:

Girl can’t spend one night home alone and she wants to be left alone…like d said she wants to be left alone…to party

  18. tooey says:

@Ogechi, just how many chances does one person get? This one has been getting chance after chance after chance for at least the last five years. Enough is enough. If she really wanted to straighten out her life she would go away and do so. No one saw Sandra Bullock for weeks after the Jesse James bs and I’m sure she was hunted like big game in Africa. It can be done.

  19. Jeri says:

The 1st week nothing is written about her will be worse withdrawal then the crack. Dina will have to come up with another lame press release.

  20. Lucy says:

Getting over an addiction begins with accepting and taking responsibility for what one has done to themselves – irregardless of what others may or may not have done. It is hard, no question, but impossible? No.

Entitlement must be much harder to overcome than any addiction.

Part of me does feel bad for her, but, at the same time not at all.

  21. The Truth Fairy says:

Well, it had been a whole 5 minutes; we were due for another Lohan victimization story.

  22. Gwen says:

“People should just leave me alone and let me live.”

Why do celebrities always spout this crap? Sure, she wants to be left alone – oh, except when she wants to whore herself out to the media for one reason or another! Well here you go Lindsay: I will leave you alone. I won’t buy anything you’re connected with, I won’t see your stupid movies (if you ever make another one, which I doubt), and I won’t buy magazines with you in them. Happy? Have fun in obscurity, working a real job like the rest of us.

  23. original kate says:

i think her acting is what killed her acting career. she was ok as a child but then she got so ham-handed. it is embarassing to watch her in later roles.

  24. JuiceinLA says:

I up my bet- $40 says withing the week she alleges that she was abducted on Hwy10, outside of Moranga by two guys who, fix her flat tire then force her to do lines while pouring booze on her SCRAM anklet…whose with me?

  25. Ruby Red Lips says:

She’s just so boring now – the same old rubbish spouting from her mouth

Honestly does she think we the public are so stupid we’d actually believe her anymore?!

  26. Mrs Odie 2 says:

She is clearly not working a 12 step program. Where’s the humility? The gratitude?

I’m also tired of hearing how “talented” she is/was. Based on what? Herbie Rides Again? The Parent trap? Her puffy, chubby sleepwalk through “Mean Girls”? Give me a break.

  27. meme says:

    Dear Lindsay,
    STFU and what career?
    Sincerely,
    meme

  28. bizzy says:

    a) oh, if only hollywood wasn’t obsessed with hiring only actors with the highest moral/spiritual/dietary reputations, just think how much work lindsay would get.

    b) second picture: why is lindsay wearing an eighties bridesmaid dress, backwards?

  29. Squirtle says:

Why is she soooo saggy? Does she really think that looks good? Ugh I get why some people get implants but at there is a line that you cross where it just doesn’t look good anymore

  30. Snarf says:

Rhetorical question which bitch is more delusional, Dina or Lindsay?

  31. bellaluna says:

What career? (I know, I’m echoing many others’ sentiments, but I couldn’t resist.) Isn’t she a career party animal? It must be so hard being out of work because of a pesky thing like a SCRAM anklet and a court order to stay sober. Poor baby, having to put her career as a party animal on hold. *sarcasm dripping*

  32. Maggie Grace says:

I actually think that her breast implants look good (ducking), but that heavy beaded, low-cut dress flattens them out.

  33. Fluffy Kitten Tail says:

No, actually Linds, it is your drug/alcohol problem, your lousy acting (still not over I Know Who Killed Me), and being unreliable that are damaging to your career.

  34. Kelbear says:

Why is her face so puffy?

  35. Feebee says:

“The Lies” are the least of her problems and excuses when it comes to what’s left of her career.

Send her to prison. It did wonders for RDJ.

  36. Eileen Yover says:

When I see perpetual victims and they are whining about how unfair it is and how people are so horrible to them-I always ask them “what is common denominator here? Your father isn’t speaking to you, you lost your job and the bank detonated your debit card after bouncing 20 checks. YOU the factor. You are the problem.” I hate those kinds of people because I was raised by one. And she still to this day is a victim.

  37. d says:

And I think it goes to show that her attitude, entitlement, and lifestyle is as much a problem as any alleged alcohol or drug abuse. People would give her a break if she looked as if she was doing something normal. Is she and the paps just not photographing it? Who knows…but it’s not like she’s got proof to show anything constructive that she’s done with her time lately. Oh well, she’ll figure it out or she won’t. Pretty simple. Meanwhile another talented redhead, Emma Stone, will take her place and people will forget all about Lindsay. Done!

  38. Tia C says:

Echoing others’ sentiments as well here.

Her only “career” is hitting the club scene. And why on earth does this young woman have a double chin already? I didn’t acquire mine til I was pushing 40!

  39. Crash2GO2 says:

She lost the right to be left alone when she broke the law by drinking and driving and by possesing illegal drugs. We can’t leave her alone, because she is dangerous to others when left to her own devices.

  40. logan says:

Hey Lindsay let us know when you get back from your trip down the deNile.

  41. dread pirate cuervo says:

Yes, Lindsay, these lies are terrible. Your bracelet went off because Carvel would only give you rum raisin ice cream for free. It’s Carvel’s fault! That isn’t coke, it’s sprinkles!

  42. lilred says:

I’m with you JuiceinLA . That’s a sure bet lol.

  43. Lady D says:

If she keeps up with these statements, she can always have a back-up career as a comedienne.

  44. kate says:

LUCY: “irregardless” is not a word…regardless is!

  45. cuchulain says:

I am just floored that she hasn’t blamed her rather OBVIOUS WEIGHT GAIN on someone else. I do however LMAO whenever she uses the term CAREER??? Seriously, being a DRUNK DRUGGIE does not a career make. PLEASE BATH AND CLEAN YOUR FINGERNAILS…YOU ARE SO DIRTY YOU MAKE MY SKIN CRAWL!

  46. buenavissta says:

I just read the Eminem post before this one. Quite a contrast in how each of them are facing addiction. I’m no fan of either of them, but Em’s got my respect. Oh yeah, and real talent.

  47. Victoria says:

    @JuiceInLA and Lilred

I say we meet back here in a week cuz it’s gonna happen! It’s kind of already happened except SHE kidnapped two guys? Are they trying to sue her now? Am I right? Man all this is so funny!

  48. A crackpipe and a shotglass do not a career make. The only lies I hear about you are from you.

  49. Praise St. Angie! says:

    actually, “irregardless” is a word.

    http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/irregardless

“regardless” is used much more commonly, but the former IS, in fact, a word in the English language.

  50. aury says:

man, she’s full of shit. she honestly believes that the public is that friggin stupid?

  51. Johnthing says:

    SSDD.

  52. ctkat says:

She’s literally The Boy Who Cried Wolf: I’m sure that some of the stories about her are lies, but who the hell can tell?

All of the lies (and really, there have been YEARS of lies) have caught up with her, and now we all- Hollywood and the rest of us- don’t believe a word she says. Because all she does is lie.

At this point, I think the only option left to her is a serious, 18 to 24 month rehab program, followed by a big mea culpa interview with a respected news outlet (Walters or Sawyer or someone of their ilk) where she owns up to all of her past misbehavior. Then she lives quietly, away from the club scene, and seeks out small, supporting roles in films with good people- films where she is not the star, not the headliner, but has a chance to show that she is now sober, focused, and has talent (if she still does). Then she slowly, slowly builds back up.

You know, like Colin Farrell is doing. Or Robert Downey Jr. did. Or Drew Barrymore. Or all of the others. The first step is to go away and get sober, the second is to admit all of your problems and mistakes, and the third is to focus on the work without all of the drama and shenanigans.

  53. The Truth Fairy says:

To those asking, her face is puffy because she just had her wisdom teeth pulled and 2 root canals.

  54. Majosha says:

“Irregardless” is a word. Why is it that the wannabe grammar/spelling/vocab snobs always have glaring errors in their own posts? It’s a phenomenon that I’ll never understand.

As for Lohan, I’m surprised that there are a few people on this thread actually defending this idiot. As many other posters have already pointed out, she has wasted more opportunities than most people get in an entire lifetime, yet still has the audacity to play the victim. In reality, she’s a subpar actress who’s only famous at this point for her tabloid antics.

  55. Sam says:

I am going to start call her Cleopatra because she is the Queen of Denial.

  56. really says:

Hey Lindsey! You DO NOT have a career darlin’!

  57. autotron says:

This is what happens when you get large implants as a teenager, then quickly replace them with smaller ones. See also Spears, Britney.
The arrogance on this girl is astounding – I CANNOT believe she is the same age as me…She must be on something serious or else she would be crying every day for the loss of her life, dignity, and hope at such a young age, as I would be. Although, it’s hard to imagine being that completely stupid in the first place.

  58. Wresa says:

The lies have mostly come from Lindsay, Lindsay. Come clean, admit that you had a drink but that you are trying your hardest to get sober. People might begin to take you seriously again, starting with your words and then your acting.

There is a part of me that will always root for this girl, I know what addiction is like, but there comes a point where you either need to come clean or STFU.

  59. Anony Mouse says:

    @ Praise St. Angie

Did you even read the entry? It’s not a good start for an entry to begin by calling a word “nonstandard.” You’re making it sound like calling “irregardless” a word is the same as the dictionary saying it is acceptable as good speech. The entry states it is not.

Merriam-Webster actually ends by instructing people NOT to use “irregardless,” telling readers to use “regardless” instead.

Why? It’s a combo word probably blending irrespective and regardless like “fantabulous” or such nonsense that came about as a colloquialism in the beginning of the last century.

Now, a complete dictionary will include a nonsense word like “fantabulous,” or “craptastic” and even defend their hybrid existences. But a GOOD dictionary will tell the reader not to use the word seriously so the masses will not appear like fools.

“Irregardless” = “craptastic” – funny (and sounds a lot less educated).

  60. la chica says:

she forgot to mention that these are her college years. lol!

  61. Lita says:

What does “SSDD” mean? Poster said above .. I am thinking ‘so sad, d..’

So sad, don’t drive? So sad, don’t drug? So sad, dina’s dumb? Stupid slore does dallas? I need help!

  62. Molly S says:

“Ain’t” is in Merriam-Webster, and just like that word they say “irregardless” is also to be avoided.

Face it, it’s not good English. Grammar changes and neologisms come about all the time. This is not one of those times. Ain’t is also not good English, although you can call it a word if you like.

However, don’t use either if you want to sound like less of an idiot than Freckles Lohan.

  63. Tequila says:

SSDD = same sh*t, different day

  64. Lady D says:

    Lita:
    Same
    Shit
    Different
    Day.

  65. Lucy says:

    Really? I’m sorry.

  66. Lita says:

    Ahh many thanks.

  67. CB Rawks says:

    Damn well said, AnonyMouse!!

God I am sooo sick of these morons who keep trying to make *irregardless* happen.

  68. NicoleAM says:

Irregardless 😉 of what LL believes, her career is in the toliet and I don’t think playing a porn princess is the best choice of roles right now.

  69. berkie says:

No lindsay honey YOU are damaging to your career and everthing and everyone you come in contact with. dumba$$

  70. Praise St. Angie! says:

    ka-RIST.

“You’re making it sound like calling “irregardless” a word is the same as the dictionary saying it is acceptable as good speech.”

no, I’m not “making it sound” like that. If you took that from what I posted, that means you have trouble with reading for comprehension. Please show me where in my post I “made it sound” like that.

the ONLY thing I’m “making it sound” like (or, rather, the only thing I said) is that IT IS A WORD THAT EXISTS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.

I never said it’s a word that should be used, or IS used, frequently. I’m not “trying to make it happen”, either.

again, the only thing I said was that Merriam Webster, considered a pretty respectable source, if not the most respected source on words, considers it a word.

Oh, and I did read the entry.

it says, (besides being nonstandard) “The most frequently repeated remark about it is that “there is no such word.” There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance.”

    Did you catch that part?

“There is such a word, however”. meaning, yes, that word does exist. WHICH IS ALL I WAS SAYING.

(sorry for the rant, but I really get irritated when people put words in my mouth, or twist my words to imply I meant something I didn’t.)

  71. CB Rawks says:

“There is such a word, however”. meaning, yes, that word does exist. WHICH IS ALL I WAS SAYING.”

Are you joking? OBVIOUSLY the *word* has been put out there and has been discussed and critiqued and people know about it! That’s why we all know what this conversation is about!
So thankyou for helping out with that gobsmackingly informative statement of the obvious.
    Shenanigans.
When people criticise the word, it’s because it should not exist. When they shun the word, or accuse it of not being a real word, they are OBVIOUSLY saying it should not exist.

    And Merriam Webster respected?? AHAHAHAHAHA
    Yes. Like Wikipedia.

  72. pda for sale says:

Well she looks very nice always !
