Last year, Fergie was the cover girl for the American edition of Cosmopolitan, all to promote her role in Nine. Now she is the August cover girl for Cosmo UK, and I think they just used the same old interview, but added a new photo shoot. Either that, or Fergie talks about the same old bullsh-t in every interview. No, I think this is a repeat. The one quote – “In Italy, Catholic boys are raised to believe there are two types of women: the Madonna and the whore … And me? I’m both” is repeated in both interviews. So let’s just enjoy the pretty photos. They are nice – sure, Fergie looks a bit ‘Shopped in them, but she also looks pretty healthy.
Fergie shows off her newly slim body on the cover of Cosmopolitan UK’s ‘Body Confidence’ issue, and in the interview she talks about gaining weight for ‘Nine’ and husband Josh Duhamel, though she does not get into the stripper incident. Here are some excerpts:
On her universal appeal:
“You know, in Italy, Catholic boys are raised to believe there are two types of women: the Madonna and the whore … And me? I’m both.”On not knowing whether Josh Duhamel was “the one”:
“At that stage of my life, I don’t think I’d have thought that about anybody. I’d made my lists of qualities that I wanted, and you can’t find out if someone has those in a week. It was learning what he was made of that made me fall in love with him.”On how Josh reacted to her weight gain for her ‘Nine’:
“When I came home from filming, he was excited. He enjoys having both: the extra meat to grab when it’s there and the tight stomach when that’s there. He always gives me compliments.”On having kids:
“You can be a mother and still completely sexy … Right now, I don’t want anything clouding my focus. Right now, I’m living in the present.”

I actually doubt Fergie still feels the same way about having kids. My opinion? She and husband Josh Duhamel are already trying, or are about to start trying to get pregnant. I believe that not everything is going well in the Black Eyed Peas, but instead of quitting outright, Fergie is probably going to try dialing down the drama by just getting knocked up.

Everything is great in the bep crew, all the rumors are bullshit, really. And if she does get knocked up she will still continue with the peas, she said that, she also said that she admires moms like Gwen Stefani, who was on tour while she was pregnant.

I don’t understand why all of these Hollywood types are so afraid to get pregnant. Fergie and Josh Duhamel have enough dough to get a really good nanny…it’s not like she will actually have to take care of a baby! Jeez…just shut up already and do it! Or if you are so afraid to put on a few pounds…don’t do it! Whatever!
