BBC News is the only decent news program on television, IMHO.

It’s not the anchors, it’s the producers and what they’re choosing to report and how they’re reporting it.

I did not know that Anderson Cooper is gay, but it makes not no difference to me in the quality of his reporting and journalism. Let’s see of the people that gripe and moan try it.

Personally, I believe that we lost the personality that we all like and related to in Katie Couric, smiles and a scense of humor. Katie never or rarely smiles and seems so serious. I realize the things she reports on are serious and our everyday news is not a barrel of laughs. But she is an excellent journalist and her interviews are always great. What we are missing is the real Katie that we knew and learnedd to love on the TODAY show. I think it would be a wonderful swith for Anderson Cooper and Katie, and let Larry King have a rest that he has needed for a long time, with his wife and children, who knows this one might last.

Katie is an excellent news anchor. The problem is, CBS has not delivered on the agreement they had with her when she was hired. She is the one divorcing them, not the other way around.

ANYBODY doing Larry King besides Larry King would be an improvement. How someone with zero talent or appeal could get a job on TV is beyond me.

AC is too good for the anchor bit, he’s better as a journalist out in the field. I still think Diane Sawyer was ROBBED, ROBBED!!!! – she was made for that role – and I still can’t believe how dumb of move CBS made in hiring Couric (if not somehow sexist – like see? women CAN’T anchor the big time news show). She wasn’t suited to the job at all. I think Sawyer has given CBS the hoisted middle finger on this one, so not sure who would fit the bill now. Don’t like M Viera. I guess Harry Smith is ok. Can’t think of anyone else…
