Not to be rude, but I’ll be curious to see these same contestants in 6 months and then 12 months time from now.

Does ‘watery fat’ actually exist? I would have thought it was either water or fat. Lose a lot of weight fast in a short period then you could be losing more water than fat. I hope they didn’t lose any muscle mass.

They look good, lets hope it’s maintainable. For their own sakes.

Congratulations to ALL the contestants! Well done! You should ALL be very proud of yourselves and feel so much better physically and emotionally! The winner looks incredible! AS someone who’s fought weight issues her whole life, it gives me hope that we CAN do it. It just takes a lot of hard work and determination! Good job EVERYONE on The Biggest Loser! Great show too!

Yes having a tan makes you look thinner, but I think not only did they tan, but the color is more saturated on the after pictures. I am so incredibly happy for all of them, they have truly gotten their lives back. I commend them for sticking with it and losing all that excess weight.

And to Bellatrix, when you are as heavy as those people were, it’s perfectly fine to drop that much weight over a few months (as they did) because they are losing lots of watery fat that goes away fairly quickly as soon as you start working out. If you aren’t really heavy, losing weight really fast means something is wrong because you aren’t supposed to.

I was thinking the same thing about those slippers!!! These people work very very hard and lose a ton in such a short time–it’s amazing, the transformation!But on a technical note, why is everyone so tan in the after pics? Does a tan make you look slimmer? If so, I’m off to the tanning booth–oh wait, I’m Irish. Don’t tan. Only freckle. damn!

I send out my sincere congratulations to these people (although I’m not sure if it is that healthy to lose such an amount of weight on such a small amount of time but I am not specialist)! They all have worked very, very hard.
As far as I’m concerned, they all ARE winners.

However, they need to change of sponsor for those horrible slippers. Ew.

I wish Mallory and Curtis would have won also, not because they would have been the first blacks to ever win but because I know if he doesn’t have health insurance the money would have done his household wonders because of all the medical bills they would incur.

First!!!
I am so happy a femal finally won. Now Roger looks like he’s been throwing his guts out he didn’t look healthy at all last night.
I loved Ali, she kept it real the whole show. I am 5 -4 and 178 pounds I wish I could lose about 38 pounds myself. It’s hard but I’m taking it one day at time.
