Oh, please, stop trying to make Norton look good or a victim. I’ve been following his career ever since I saw him for the very first time — in Primal Fear. And I’ve ALWAYS read about him being a pain in the a** for producers, directors and writers. I love his acting but I’m not blind when it comes to his diva behaviour. Believe me when I say this: I don’t enjoy criticizing him, I don’t have a hate-on for Norton — on the contrary, it actually pains me to admit one of my favorite actors is also one of my least favorite professionals.

As for the whole rewriting The Incredible Hulk’s script — you should complain about Screen Writers Guild who chose to give the credits ONLY to Zac Penn because they consider plot more important than overall dialogue (the only rewriting job Norton did was making the dialogue “better” — he didn’t change the plot significantly yet he wanted to be given more credit than he deserved).

Most people got really angry when they read Kevin Feige’s statement, claiming it was rude and harsh. I’m not denying that (although Norton’s publicists’s statement wasn’t better either). But I thought it was something like a “enough is enough” kind of statement on his part, he was fed up with Norton’s behaviour for the past years (because Norton began this whole “not sure if I’ll reprise the role” thing long before — he even called Marvel’s executives “obtuse” during an interview, and “obtuse” because they didn’t agree with his oh, so amazing inputs).

And Celebitchy, Edward Norton has been called out on his prima dona behaviour before. And many times — just not so openly like Feige did now. I read an article on LA times that showed his “creative differences” with directors and writers in cronological order. Tony Kaye (American History X’s director) even sued the studio for releasing Norton’s edited version of the film — and Norton did that BEHIND the director’s back and to please the studio, that was upset Kaye’s cut was taking too long. Kaye ended losing the lawsuit, but still…that shows a lot about how much of jerk Norton can be.

Many people will argue things like “Oh, but the movie was fine, wasn’t it?”. My answer: yes, but I wasn’t allowed to see the director’s cut anyway.

Now about Ruffalo…whoever says he isn’t a good actor must be out of his mind. He’s fantastic. Just as good as Norton, if not better — because he’s much easier to work with than Mr. “I won’t promote the film because it wasn’t edited the way I wanted” Norton (yes, he did that when The Incredible Hulk — he only attended a couple of premieres and gave two interviews, in which he basically slammed the movie he was starring!!! — and he did so because it was a contractual obligation, he wanted to avoid a lawsuit).

Regarding his looks, I’m only concerned about two things: Bruce Banner is a nerdish, weird scientist…so I picture him as a skinny, pale guy. Mark Ruffalo is this typical olive skinned, cute, mellow-eyed Italian hotty so…I think he must drop some pounds.

I’m disappointed with some fanboys/fangirls who haven’t seen the film yet but are already judging this super sweet guy — who, by the way, has NOTHING to do with a possible screw-up by Norton OR Marvel. He took a job that was offered to him, that’s all.
