I was so disheartened when sweater girl – what was her name, Irina something or other? – won, it was so predictable, I didn’t even want to watch anymore, despite my adoration for Tim. Lifetime ruined this show, it has gotten so SOFT. Bravo seemed to give it an edge, maybe it was my imagination or maybe it’s just as the show (and Heidi) have gotten older and a little boring and older.

Tim’s about the only thing that has stayed a little acerbic, trendy. Seth Aaron even seemed a little too twee, you could just tell he was going to win, he was very artfully presented. I wish the show had wackier talent (Santino!), although not on Ping’s level.

Tim needs something better to work with.

OMG Tim Gunn is absolutely my favorite American man. Brilliant, funny, creative, handsome, and gay and altruistic. I totally adore everything about him.

I’m 21, work at a retail store, and all of this 80s clothing coming back makes me want to puke.

Tim Gunn is precious. I want to carry him around in my purse and whip him out whenever I need a smart remark about something.

I was a child of the 80′s. I didn’t wear the fashions then because we couldn’t afford them. I was sad then, but now when I look at my childhood photographs I am thankful for that blessing. I remember shoulder pads, knickers and knee socks, and crazy bows and ruffles. Not a good look for anyone ever.

Someone once told me about recycled fashion that “If you were old enough to wear it the first time is was popular, you’re too old to wear it the second time around.” I have found that to be so true. 80s fashion is fine (I guess) on 12yr olds. But I grew up in the 80s barely-I was born in ’79) and therefore wore that crap the first time around and recognize it for what it really is–crap. Hell, I hated 80s clothes in the 80s! Who ever thought acid wash, shoulder pads, high waisted parachute pants and hair scrunchies were a good idea the first time let alone again??

Especially when he would look at PR contestants clothes in the studio, have worried expression on his face for a moment and say “Make it work”.

@Relli- YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!!!!!!! thank you for reminding me- it was great how he made those women feel good about themselves. I wonder why that show didn’t last, oh wait. Damn bravo.

ps: @Mslewis: I totally agree last season’s designers were so uninspired and lackluster- but I kind of think that is fashion right now. I mean the rebirth of the 80′s is the best example of that, right?

Love Tim Gunn-PR is the only reality tv I’m loyal to. I love how he mother hens the designers, I was ticked last season when Emilio was so rude to him.
