You go, Kim! Shame she had to fight for it tho’. I’ve always thought she was the funniest and most interesting of the four.
-
Ditto, although I loved Miranda too.
-
Good for Kim! But now I feel bad for the other two. Wonder how they feel, knowing that Kim got paid so much more for doing the same work as they did? It doesn’t seem fair, they should have gotten a raise, too.
-
Miranda was the most realistic of the group I think. But I loved Charlotte.

I totally understand her not wanting to hang with her co-workers after work, I just don’t understand why anyone would.
After you spend all day in the office with them, the last thing I want to do is share drinks and dinner. I want to go home to my family and some peace and quite.

wait a second. Samantha is usually required to be nude/semi-nude most of the time. She should earn more than those who don’t have to go out on that same limb. Add to that her age and you can understand why she felt like she should be duly compensated
If Nixon/Davis had the same part or felt that they were being underpaid I am sure they would have stood up for themselves as well.
I loved the show, I will see the movie but I thought they tied up the ends rather nicely in the finale.

That’s a good point, snappyfish, re the nudity. Hadn’t thought of that. That’s certainly justification for a higher salary - although it sounds like she just knew the value of her own input, as far as the success of S&TC was concerned, and put her Manola-clad foot down. More power to her.

it gets so tiring hearing stars talk about how they’re all good friends and they call each other all the time, and basically blow eachaother; Catrall’s frankness and money holdout is sometimes construed as bitchiness, but face it: if it were any other person in any other job, wouldn’t they do the same?
-
as she points out, if it was a guy who negotiated, ppl would just think he was a savvy businessman. Because it’s a woman, ppl think she’s a bitch. Double standard much?
Good point about the nudity. I still feel sorry for her coworkers. After Cattrall got her raise, the producers should’ve offered equal $ to everyone else (besides Sarah, who does deserve more). It would reduce tension on the set, if nothing else…
-
They should have all been paid the same, and SJP a bit more for producing. I don’t understand why the other two women got less than half.
-
Good for her. I think they all deserve to be getting paid just as much as Sarah. Their characters are just as important as Carrie!
-
Well done to Kim Cattrall and she looks absolutely fabulous for a 50 year old.
-
Too bad she didn’t just say, “y’know, I’m done with that and I’m ready to move on to better things.”
Hated the show after a few seasons.
Won’t see the movie.
Hope they cut the tumor out of SJP’s head that makes her face look like that. -
SJP should get the most cash,,,have you seen the price of horsefeed lately? I think her and Dee Snyder are the same person,,,have you ever seen those two in the same room? Didn’t think so,,,me either.

I don’t see why people are asking why Davis and Nixon got paid less. They got paid less because they did not have the guts to stand up for what they felt they were worth. I admire Kim Cattrall for standing up for her paycheck. Way to negotiate!
