Charlize Theron has a sexy pictorial for the September issue of Elle Russia. I guess Julia Roberts doesn’t sell in Moscow? But neither does Charlize – she didn’t make the cover, despite this ass-tastic pictorial. Seriously, how crazy is Charlize’s body? It should be against the law. In the one shot of Charlize looking at herself in the mirror, for a second I was like, “Oooh, is that cellulite? A chink in the armor?!?” But it’s not cellulite. It’s just a great, perfect ass. Charlize kills me.
Anyway, I have no idea what Charlize is promoting, other than her bodacious ass. She doesn’t have any films coming out this year. I haven’t even heard any good gossip about her lately. A few months ago, it was all about how she might be dating post-split from Stuart Townsend. There were rumors of Keanu Reeves and Jeremy Renner, but nothing really happened (publicly). Is she singling and mingling? Is she in the market for some rich Russian piece, a la Naomi Campbell? Is this Elle pictorial Charlize’s equivalent of a personal ad? Could be.

Charlize is mega in my book. Super talented lady with guts. Sexy, way beyond her share and yet intellegent and solid as a rock. Her best days are still ahead. The challenge is where and in what format to employ all those gifts.
When I see her in pictures, I find myself thinking ‘I would go gay for her.’ Sure people say Angelina, but Charlize is kind of doing it for me.
I can’t think of to many times when she doesn’t look hawt as hell. She is a gorgeous woman.

I have never heard that Russian men are good lovers. But, maybe the modern ones are. Wish her well though. She is very beautiful, though most of her movies are crap. Wouldn’t want to win an oscar. There is no way to go but down and hard and that is what has been happening the past 6 years or so.

Gorgeous! I wish we’d get to see her in some smart, capable female role. Something like “Salt” I think she might have been better than Angie (even tho I really liked her in it). I like it when she gets really physical in movies like “Aeonflux,” etc.
I agree with Molly. I’m sure Charlize is quite beautiful in person. But all the celebrities ALWAYS are shopped in mags. No one is flawless.

i always found blond beauty kinda blah but Charlize is one of the few ones who is truly beautiful without the bland factor that i see in blond beauties.
I really don’t understand why she lacks the IT appeal to make people go see her movies en masse in the theaters or flocks like crazies at the red carpet just to see her.

Charlize would sell her a$$ to get more exposure. It’s just that nobody cares. I doubt the paps can get more than $100 for a picture of her. The woman was never a big star but since “Monster” (which was not a moneymaker, by the way), she has been even less of a star. She can’t buy a part in a movie, indie or otherwise.
Remember, she had been attached to “The Tourist” for at least two years but the producers couldn’t get any backing with her in the lead. She was dumped for Angelina Jolie and the movie got financing instantly, along with a new male lead in J.Depp. Your career is in pretty bad shape when your name can’t get a movie financed and you have an Oscar on your bookshelf!!!
A couple of years ago, a commenter on justjared did a list of the movies Charlize has starred in and, except for the one with Will Smith, all of her movies COMBINED have earned some ridiculously low amount like less than $10M!! I didn’t look that up but it made sense. The one she made with her then boyfriend producing earned less than $1M at the BO (and it was awful, because I saw it on Netflix).
Anyway, I have no idea why Charlize is not a big movie star (I suspect it’s because she really does not have any sex appeal), nor do I know what she is shilling for in Russian Vogue (she couldn’t even get the cover!!) but I have to say those photos are not the least bit sexy and Charlize is starting to show her 35 years. Just my opinion.

Ever Since i knew her, even before she was in LA and became an actress, when she was modelling in Paris, i found her gorgeous but yet she couldn’t rise above the rest of them and enter the supermodel circle.
Then she went to the UK and after a while she went to LA. I said to myself that with her beauty, sure she will get all the fous eventhough she will have to beat the stereotype of the model wanna be actress. She did well by launching roles who are not bimbo type and were not overly sexy ones, roles that broke that image rather quickly ad again, i said : she will be America next big thing.
But the media and people were never following her. She was never sold as being the next big thing, the new hot thingin town and i still don’t know why.It’s really a mystery to me.
Also she makes Jennifer Aniston and even Renee Zelwegger’s bombs, average success compared to hers. She has only three movies ! THREE out of thirty that reach 60,000,000 + in the domestic market, one of which being Hancock, the other one being ‘The Italian Job’, the only movies that broke the 100 million mark domestically !
And it’s not even because most of her movies are indepedant, it’s pretty uneven with 18 out of 30 being released in 2000+ theaters, the other ones in limitted ones.
I have come to realise and accept that she doesn’t have that IT factor, that overwhelming charisma that makes you a star and make the masses flock in the theaters to look at you. People think she is absolutely beautiful, but then they will say the same thing about Megan Fox or any supermodel.
They really don’t care about her as an actress nor a person, they don’t care about her movies, nor her career.
They just thing she is beautiful but don’t feel the need to be interested in what she is and in what she does. People are not even aware when she is featured in a movie. They don’t follow her career. It’s sad
