All politicians are dishonest to some degree; they almost have to be! But of the three, Hillary is the lesser of the evils and she's got brass balls to boot! I have nothing against McCain or Obama - I just feel that Hillary will get shit done! She never gives up and she's strong!

Just to clarify, I don't like any of them. I was really pulling for Guiliani before we got too deep into the primaries and no one has inspired that much faith in me since.

I'm waiting to see who their running mates will be and waiting to hear about what they are really going to do for the country. Anyone who gets up there with a plan to spend less money and take government interference out of my life and pocketbook will get my vote.

Or the person I don't detest.

If I really could care less about either one over the other, I won't vote at all.

Actually, I will vote, only because my new goal is to vote out every single congressional and senatorial (if that's the word) incumbent. I think they have done just as bad if not worse job than Bush and for no other reason than to play politics and get reelected. I want them all gone.

Enonymouse - regardless of how you view it, there have been multiple occasions during which Hillary Clinton has been caught lying, ON TAPE, and ON THE RECORD. I cannot, with my own memory, find one instance where Obama has lied. And I am not desperate to have a black man, or a white woman, or a white man, in office. I am desperate for our country to be better off than it has been for the past 10 years. I voted for Hillary - twice - for New York Senator. I know A LOT about her and her record. I used to be very supportive of her. The way she has run this campaign (into the ground) and the way she has resorted to dirty politics and unfounded attacks on her opponents have made me ill, and have changed my mind about her completely.

Policy-wise, Hillary and Obama are very similar. VERY similar. So, what do we have to go on in making our choice other than character? His is not perfect, but he seems to genuinely care for our country and it's future, while she seems more self-serving and power-hungry. I am not an Obama apologist, I am trying to be as objective as I can be. And I am a New Yorker, which gives me actual experience with Hillary as an elected leader. I believe I've done my homework, and I am confident that I am supporting the correct candidate.

Well headache, you're closer to it than I am so I respect that. At the outset, on paper, she looked good and was spoken of very favourably this side of the pond by political journalists I really respect. She seemed to be genuinely out to reform. Power-hungry, maybe, but what politican isn't? She wouldn't be my choice but that's not the point.

Ditto Obama, an intelligent, decent guy, no question, but looking increasingly out of his depth, with too many dreams riding on him. I don't know. I just hope you get the right person but I have no idea who that might be because the in-fighting is really distracting and neither one is currently looking like good, solid presidential material. Just my opinion tho'. Personally, I'd have Bill back.

Geronimo, I just won't ever see Hillary as credible or having any potential. I never really liked her but I don't really like any politician. My dislike for her cemented in reality when she picked a state she had absolutely no ties to simply for it's future political implications.

I can't think of a single thing the woman has done because it was right or because she wanted to short of popping out Chelsea. I don't see her as commited to her family, her country, an internal moral fiber or committed to ANYTHING other than being the most powerful woman in the nation.

And for that, she couldn't buy my vote. The presidency isn't some type of personal validation. It's the highest service in the land. And if Hillary becomes president, the only thing she will serve is herself.

I would vote for Bill to come back to office before I would even cast an eye at her name on a ballot. Hell I'd bring back Jimmy Carter and he was the WORST president in modern times.

But that's politics! Attack and deny! It's painful to watch. And it started out so well, two credible candidates with so much potential who, whether they're aware of it or not, seem to be set on a path to destroy all chance of a Democrat getting within spitting distance of the Whitehouse. McCain is looking a more and more likely future president by the day.

I have read a lot about each of the individual candidates and I do not understand were people get this view that only Hillary is the dishonest one. Is it that she is a strong serious woman and that automatically turns her to into a b*tch in some people's eyes or what?

headache: "The woman isn’t even honest about who she is."

Believe it or not but I am not particularly a Hillary fan but lets be fair that not one is more dishonest about trying to hide their really persona than Obama himself and it is almost fastrating when ever a Obama supporter starts defending him they always seem to attack Hillary for the most stupid and unrelevant ways and that is what scares me about this guy because his fans always ignore the most important issues.

I just don't see how you can call Obama a liar and not recognize that Hillary has had a much longer career at it.

The woman isn't even honest about who she is. Her entire persona is coldly calculated for maximum appeal.

The only thing she's been consistant in is being a machinating (not sure if it's a word but you get my point) shrew. I don't know what kind of president she will be and that scares me far more than the assurances I feel about what kind of president McCain or Obama would be. Not that I agree with any of them but a known dislike is much more preferable to an unknown.

Well Kolby the description of arrogance and entitlement would suite Obama much better as well as him being a complete lair who would do anything and use anyone to get what he wants, so lets not make it out that only Hillary could be the dishonest one here.

It always surprises me how Obama's supporters would purposely turn a blind eye to his lies just because they are so desperate to have a black man in office. Choosing the next president of the USA is not a game people, all politicians lie and hide the real truth but there are some lies that could not just effect them but it could end up damaging the country and that is the types of lies that I think Obama has.

This post was originally much longer and echoed a lot of your comments here about Hillary but I edited it down because I'm very wary to cover politics.

Here's what came after the first paragraph and before the rest:
<hr width="85% size="1">
Without directly saying it, you can read between the lines to hear his condemnation of Hillary's antics. As a Democrat, I'm amazed at the way she's contradicted herself, told lies, dismissed experts' opinions that differ from hers as "elitist," and claimed she would "obliterate" Iran. She doesn't have the same values as Obama, and she will stop at nothing to win.

Members of my immediate family live in NY State and love Hillary Clinton. I even have a pledged Democratic delegate in my family who has met her multiple times. They vouch for her ability to get much needed funding and attention to NY City after 9/11 and the firemen who fought a life and death battle on that fateful day.

Hillary does have the experience of being married to a very accomplished two-time president, but she's not her husband, and she doesn't have her husband's ability to unite the country. That skill is possessed by Senator Obama to a degree that seems to eclipse even her husband. The only scandal so far about the guy is that he had a crazy pastor. How is that worse than being caught lying multiple times? I trust Obama to do what he says, while Clinton has shown consistently that she will do whatever it takes to win and that truth and facts don't matter to her. What's worse is that by continuing to pursue her own interests, she may cost the Democrats the election in November.
