We generally don’t cover Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s outings, but these are newish photos of the two of them watching Roger Federer at the U.S. Open yesterday, and I found them adorable. Isn’t it weird that we never really wonder about the state of Gwen and Gavin’s relationship? They occasionally walk a red carpet, but for the most part, the photos we have of them are candids shot while they’re out with their kids, or enjoying some downtime at an event like this. They’re just so cute, and they always seem so solid. I love these photos.
They just seem so shockingly normal. I know that’s what people say about Jennifer Garner too – that they like her because she seems so normal, like your neighbor with the cute kids, but I’ve never bought it from Garner. I’m one of the few who dislikes the weekly parade of dimples from the Garner-Affleck clan, just because I get a vibe that they are, at times, forcing it. Forcing the “we’re so normal and down to earth and a big happy family” thing. Specifically, I think Garner is forcing it to promote a very family-friendly image of herself, to continue the whitewash of her past relationships. I don’t get a forced vibe from Gavin and Gwen, ever, in candid shots. Sometimes I get it from Gwen when she’s promoting something, when she’s wearing all of her gear and everything, but shen she’s dressed in her beloved track-suit/muumuus, she looks adorable. They just seem like a cool rock star couple who are really solid. I will be heartbroken if they ever split. Also: Gwen still looks pregnant to me. You think?
And of course, how could you not enjoy yourself when you’re watching Federer? I love him. He’s so f-cking cute.

I agree that they seem solid, normal and very much in love. Although part of me worries and feels superstitious saying that out loud. It seems like every time I think a famous couple is solid and cute, they break up or one of them cheats the following week. I hope not, in this case!

I do love these guys, they always seem really down to earth and just happy. Julia Roberts isn’t my favorite person in the world but there is a super funny/cute video of her at a premiere, The Mexican I think? From years ago, and while Julia is being interviewed, she catches sight of Gwen and Gavin on the red carpet a few feet behind her and flips out like a typical person would upon seeing their favorite celebrity. Got tongue tied and blushing like crazy…Gwen even impresses industry longtimers.
I agree about the vibe around Jennifer Garner, too. I still hope she and Ben make it, and Violet is the cutest little kid around, but there is some kind of vibe about Jennifer in the past year or two. Like she’s buying her own hype.

I love them, they are one of my favorite celeb couples. The last few pictures I’ve seen of Gwen though, it seems like her face looks a bit different. Has she had something tweaked?

I suspect she has only stayed that blonde for him. And since this was a very public event, I am not surprised by her having on her public makeup.
I have seen candid’s of her without all the professional makeup and she is a cute girl. With a great complexion.

Recall the video for “Underneath It All” when she wore little or no makeup…she’s gorgeous. Even more so when she’s natural like that. However…I do agree about the hair.

I agree there is just a cool vibe about the two of them that I really like. They don’t need to change, if it works, it works. I am so glad that you called out the Garner-Affleck photos. This woman works hard to want people to forget how she played her exes.

you know, watching this game on tv I didn’t see any of this interaction. I saw her sitting next to Mirka (sp?) and looking a bit bored. I don’t know, that’s just what they showed on tv, but this set of photos surprised me. And yes, grrrl needs to quit that haircolor already-it’s so aging.

First, I love her look because it is iconic. Also, I read in one of her interviews that Gavin prefers her in red lipstick. But it is hard to pull off red lipstick (Gwen’s way) and all natural face too. LOL. Main point: I love that they obviously are in love but also in LIKE. They look as if they really like each other and hanging out together. How great is that? Rare. Esp. since Affleck seems to look in a great deal of pain when he is with Jennifer. Just my opinion.

@hstl1 – So true and you made me laugh. Not sure why people think she is such a fashion leader. It has always looked to me that the clothes she wears come straight from the dumpster that those two troll in NYC shop.

OH GWEN, she’s like one of my favorite singers EVER, im a fan of her music and she had a LOT to do with my ‘style’ back when I was a teen.

And yes, they’re one of the cutest couples in the cleb world, they look adorable and natural. No need to change a thing, they’re perfect the way they are.

Her face has been tweaked. If I had to guess, I’d say she’s had some kind of laser treatment, like a Pearl treatment, something that peels and tightens at the same time. And some filler injections, maybe Botox too. She looks “refreshed” to use the word the plastic surgery industry uses.

Also, Gwen’s face is looking different in these pics. I think she has stopped the lip injections, not sure if she has stopped doing anything else or started doing something new, but she looks different.

I love them, they are adorable. I still believe that her wedding dress was the most lovely thing ever..it was as if a dress had been made and the only person on the planet who could wear it was Gwen.

They are always at Federer matches they are friend of Fed & Mirka I am always happy to see them at Wimbledon in his box. I never liked Gavin when he was really hot back in the 90′s but I think him and Gwen are the real thing. BTW I am hoping for Federer to win the Open this year would be amazing!!!

IMO I don’t think Gwen has had any work done, or at least anything significant. She’s got laugh lines around her eyes…not the frozen alien look. Anyone who wears that amount of makeup in such bright lights is gonna look a bit off. I think pic 3 is just an odd angle of her nose; let’s face it, we all have them!

I am actually surprised to see them normal and happy. I always felt gwen tried too harder to being perfect and gavin looked so bored with her whenever I saw their pics. and I completely agree with Jennifer comment. she doesn’t have a career. ‘the perfect happy family’ image always screems PR. I think it is unbelievable how people completely buy her PR image.
