Yesterday was the big runway show for the finale of Project Runway at New York’s Fashion Week. This happens every season of Project Runway – because they film the finale while still relatively mid-season of the airing of Project Runway, many, many sites run a series of spoilers as to who made it to the finale. I am not going to do that – because I can’t. I have very carefully avoided all of those other posts, and I hope all of you commenters avoid spoiling it for all of us too.
Because, at long last, I have gotten into this season of Project Runway – and it took me long enough. I think it was Gretchen and her Epic Bitchface that did it for me. I want that piece of work to fail and fail hard, and I will keep watching until she does. It’s not even that I hate her designs – she’s an okay designer, really. It’s her f-cking attitude. She’s snotty, she’s unprofessional, and with her f-cked up attitude, I can’t see how she would make it very far in this or any industry. Another one is Lily IVY – the Korean-American girl – Jesus, she is such a horrible stereotype of the monotone, anal-retentive Asian-American bitch. We’re not all like that, people! I mean, I’m a bitch, but I’m not anal retentive about it. And I f-cking loved last night’s episode when Michael WhatsIt was all “I am absorbing her Crazy.”
But my point, and this is perhaps a very tiny little SPOILER: Jessica Simpson is the guest judge on the finale. That’s right. Jessica “I Dress Pregnant All The Time Now” Simpson. That being said, I will prefer Jess to some of the other nonsensical “fashion girls” PR has had on – Kristen Bell?!? Seriously? And next week it’s January Jones! I prefer it when they have actual designers or fashion professionals on to judge – their criticisms are always better. That being said, I actually can’t wait to see what Jess says during the finale. It should be epic.
I think Jess is wearing Michael Kors too – eh. Her hair should be different – look at how puffy her face looks with that style! As My Gunn would say, Jess is not making it work.

The Korean american girls name is Ivy, I hate her & Gretchen too! but I love how bitchy Gunn was to her that made my day.
Jessica has NOOOO business being a judge on that show. Her taste level is beyond questionable. Big fail on behalf of the show.
Also, the cast of designers this season suck. I don’t like any of them. One or two of the designers are good but I wouldn’t call any of them great designers and most of them are bitchy with shitty personalities. Not crazy about this season and I don’t have a favorite.
Jess is such a beautiful girl, but she has a horrible sense of style. She never dresses appropriately for her body type. Maybe they can give her some tips.

She’s not a designer. Why is she a judge on a fashion show? Because a big fashion company designs her line and pays her royalties? As a designer, I loathe how the public thinks celebrities design anything.

TOTALLY agree about Gretchen and Ivy – a big reason I’m watching this season is to see them both fail. I think there should be another challenge when the designers have to work together, and those two should be a pair. The rest of them could just watch and laugh…

Wouldn’t want this vapid, tasteless woman having anything to do with my fate, even it were just a Chili Cook-off she was judging.
I wish Project Runway was on Bravo still. I haven’t been able to fully enjoy it on Lifetime, it comes on as the same time as the RH and Jersey Shore, which I changed my mind and I now watch it.
Jessica Simpson is bad choice for the finale.
Don’t be too worried about looking at the sites with the pictures of who showed at Fashion week.
All designers currently in the competition got to show at Lincoln Centre.
That way the show isn’t ruined, as you don’t know who is actually in the finals.
I mean, yeah, you can guess, and some of the sites will be analyzing the collections, but no one knows for sure which is a real collection and which is a decoy.

I can not fathom WHY they would choose her for a judge, unless Heidi picked her personally as they both seem to gravitate towards the tiny, tight and sleezy asthetic. I like them both but with their fashion ‘taste level’ perhaps they would be better suited to judge fashion on RuPauls Drag Race.

I really am beginning to wonder if Jessica is on some type of medication that is keeping her this bloated.
There is something off about how the weight is distributed. It just does not look like weight gain from eating. It looks like a side effect of something else.

this show is owned by the weinsteins who in turn must be owed big time by jessica. there is no other reason she would be on the show.

She has worn Michael Kors alot. They have had an association over the years. If Lohan did it then…. they are trying to get the tabloid crowd too. The people interested in design, the people that enjoy watching the designer’s crazy attitudes, and the tabloid crowd. Since she put on the 30lbs she has looked busted. She needs to go in the gym and workout. Not like she does anything elsa. I think she keeps the weight on for the attention. She will lose it some time and then go on talking about it on every show.

I find the judges often to be ridiculous on Runway. I was especially irritated last night with Kristen Bell. Being famous is the only requirement now to be guest judge. That being said, this season has been the most entertaining season in awhile b/c of the personalities/drama.
Just for fun, who would you pick as a guest judge, a ‘celeb’ judge that is?
Personally, considering how randomly they are chosen and are obviously not terribly qualified in fashion (HELLO Jessica Alba????), just for pure fun I would go with Cher or Louis Black, with his “sunny personality” he would be a riot he would take that mean old Ivy down in a heartbeat.
this is a joke right? she is the worst dresser ever. and the extra weight really doesn’t look oh her. but she thinks her weight is the only way to get attention. sad but so true.

She’s not fat by normal standards but by Hollywood ones, yes probably..I hate to say it but she DID look better skinny, she looked amazing in “dukes of hazzard”, i was so jealous of her figure then!! lol!
I would love to see this girl wear a well-fitting, flattering outfit. Just once, and just for kicks.

Not to be rude but nobody can name or hum a song from her in years, and selling wigs and cheap bags hardly makes you a fashion icon.
So being that she’s really just a reality t.v. star known for being dumb but pretty it seems to me she oughtta hit the gym again.
She chose her industry, yet she does not act well or make good music. So that leaves us with her looks to judge and the weight gain on a talent free celeb is hard to defend. She might quit eating for two while she’s not pregnant. Professionally dating, or whatever she does for a living might demand a bit of food intake discipline.
Jessica has gained weight again.. I think she is trying to hide her.. bits and pieces with things like she is wearing now.. unsuccessfully though. Her face has got some food also.. sad.

I sense that this is pseudo-relationship and it’s a publicity stunt. I truly think Jessica is suffering from deep depression — I get a feeling just something is really off with this girl and that she’s really disconnected. I expect this “pseudo-relationship will end by this November. Sorry, I am not buying this publicity stunt and her happy and content personna.
