Aishwarya has such a lovely face, but her dress looks wrinkled in this picture. I think she should have worn Eva’s dress (that color would really bring out her eyes).

Mr. Spicolli just takes himself too seriously since he became a director, CB. Cate looks regal. Natalie is just damn cute of course. I love her in purple. Even Gillian Anderson is looking fine ! But finding Eva Longoria at the Cannes is like finding a toenail in your ’78 Chardonnay.

Must Sean Penn turn a film festival into a political debate. Can’t we let entertainment be separate from politics for one brief moment?

Regardless of someone’s political views, the office of the presidency deserves respect, and celebs have no problem saying vicious things about the president!

Didn’t Cate Blanchett recently have a baby? She looks AMAZING!!!

I think the reason Eva looks cheap is that she is NOT in the same league as Natalie Portman, Cate Blanchett, or Julianne Moore. She tries too hard to be something she is not…

The dresses look awful this year.
    Plain ugly and unflattering.

Natalie Portman looks amazing. Pure perfection.

Sean Penn is one disrespectful idiot.

He is befriending dictators while bashing an elected president.

The only person Sean Penn is embarrassing is himself and the grace of the festival.

Sean Penn is a certifiable MORON. Any fool who cannot recognize Hugo Chavez as a dangerous threat to his nation’s future has no business making political commentary. He obviously knows nothing of the framework that lead up to the ruthless rule of some of our worst dictators.

The women look amazing with the exception of Eva Longoria who looks like Pygmy Barbie.

Who let Eva Longoria in? Are they screening OVER HER DEAD BODY? The only reason I can imagine that she’s there is to jump into a fountain or something.

Sean Penn is an intense man. His movies are intense and thoughtful. That is just who he is.The scary thing is that when people don’t speak up against inept leaders (who some would argue were NOT legally elected) then bad wars happen and children get killed and people starve. These things just shouldn’t happen.
Sean Penn might have chosen his words carelessly but I do applaud those who speak up in a public domain to make their message heard by as many as possible.Everything we do is political and has political implications from the food we buy to the clothes we buy. We simply cannot separate politics from the personal, it is not possible.
By the way Cate Blanchett gets more elegant and more attractive each time she appears in public. She will be 40 next birthday! She is like the Grace Kelly of the 2000s.

    Oh Lorda!
I think someone’s forgetting the pink elephant in the room…Ms. Barton! If you’re wondering what in the world is Longoria doing there, you should ask the same regarding Barton. At least Longoria’s pregnant. Ms. Barton just looks pregnant…with sadness.
