Maybe if you use them incorrectly (unlike regular motorcycles, they are NOT meant for jumping) which many people do. But their center of gravity and suspension make them much safer to ride along my parent's property than in trucks or in many cases horses. They can get into places other vehicles can't to clear dangerous brush that could go up in flames or to gather the animals. They're really safe and effective ranch vehicle, and easy to drive. Like a golf cart or something. I think ATV's have a bad rap because idiots decide to do things with them that you're not supposed to, like jump them. But I would go on one while pregnant.
