They look like they’re posing / liking the attention. Kind of disgusting. Do any of these people get what life is really about? They look ridiculous to me.

Question for Shia LaBeouf fans, Is he kind of stupid or does he enjoy messing with the people who interview him? The Soup this week had a new segment called, Name the Word Shia LaBeouf Misprounces. The word was epitome. He prounced it like, ep-ee-tome. They didn’t play enough of the clip for me to tell if he is a little dumb or if he was just dicking around, but I am curious.

  7. danielle says:

Riley, it could just mean that Shia’s a big reader – if he pronounces it wrong but uses it right it just means he’s read it, not heard it.

Is SJP carrying a bible or is that a unique purse?

Either way, requiescat in pace, Alexander McQueen.

I agree hairball, by all means honor and remember Alexander McQueen, but geez does everything have to smack of pr and publicity; do none of them have an interior life or are they the sum total of their self-aggrandizing public appearances.

Um… ok, maybe I’m out of touch… but hadn’t he passed away a while ago? Why are we having the funeral now?

Good job, SJP! You almost nailed this scene as the grieving fashion plate. Just one more take should do it!

Naomi? Fabulous. Wouldn’t ask you to change a thing. (Wouldn’t dare to.)

SJP moves in the same circles as Naomi Campbell? I would’ve just lost all respect for her, if I had any.

  15. Solveig says:

I really appreciate the fact that Naomi wore a very sober, puritan, classy jacket for a MEMORIAL…

What’s up with years 00′s baby? They all are so tall they even look older than they really are, ditto Monica Bellucci’s and Cassel’s daughter: she’s 5 (I think) and she looks like a 7-8yo child.

@ Chris were both muses for Mcqueen & attended a memorial that doesn’t translate into BFFs. I think it looks like they gave him a fitting send off.

  19. nofreelunch says:

I’m with @mln, they “worked” the memorial just like Mcqueen would have wanted them to and sent him off in style. Otherwise I despise these two publicity parasites, but today IMO it’s appropriate and sincere.

  20. nsfw says:

well i know awhile ago i watched some interview where they asked SJP about his suicide not long after it had happened and she was visibly upset then also, my impression was that they were friends.

Now as much as I hate to defend that monster Naomi I watched an episode of Rachel Zoe where she honored Mcqueen by getting famous supermodels including herself to walk in his clothes at the end of a fashion show and they stood there in silence to honor his memory. It was kinda touching…

  21. LM the Fabulous says:

I LOVE Naomi’s jacket! I bet McQueen would be proud. SJP, however… *shudder* That is just one hideous-looking sorta-human being.

  22. Andrea-2 says:

When I think of McQueen’s funeral, I keep remembering the funeral scene from “Zoolander”. At the time it seemed so goofy and over-the-top, but it’s been bested by this send-off.

Hey!! I say epeetome. Its a matter of accent, not stupidity. Like some people say epeecenter, others say epihcenter… it doesnt mean youre playing with people either.
For one I speak 2 languages so often the intonation and emphasis of one, rubs onto the other and I wind up pronouncing words differently by surprise.

Naomi’s jacket is from McQueens last collection. It is actually a very fitting tribute…as for SJP she does look like she is in a sceen from SATC. Which is both sad & pathetic.

  26. A.K.A. says:

In the top pic her lower lashes look wet to me and the eye she is wiping looks watery. I think she really is crying and I think she really is honest. I’m sorry but I can’t help but like her. I love her white hairs, I love her wrinkles.

  29. Nia says:

Naomi’s jacket is too Big Bird-ish. SJP’s outfit is fabulous from head to toe.

It’s also ridiculous to pay these celebs millions of dollars to endorse hair and skin-care products that obviously do not work, and I hope women stop wasting money on these products. SJP’s hair and skin in real life obviously look nothing like in the Garnier ads, where it is so thick, luscious and shiny. She looks like how many normal women in their forties actually look, and that is fine with me.

Same with Catherine Zeta Jones who gets paid millions to advertise Elizabeth Arden. I saw an unedited photo of her taken recently in London and her hair and skin look just like SJP’s.
