Tom Brady grew out his hair earlier this year, and he’s kept his longer locks. The Justin Bieber/Dorothy Hamill-style isn’t very popular with sports fans, though, and so Tom fielded several questions about his hair during a radio interview yesterday. Brady’s reply? “Ah, you’ll have to speak to my wife about that.” Oooh, so Gisele Bundchen has him whipped! Interesting. Gisele gets the final say about his hair.
“Is there anything I can do to make you cut your hair,” New England radio host Greg Hill asked Tom Brady during a phone call on Tuesday.
“Ah, you’ll have to speak to my wife about that,” Brady replied.
Brady’s hair has received almost as much attention as his play on the field this year. The ladies don’t like it (Twitter searches and a quick poll of all the women in my life reveal this), men are mocking it (Brady-worshipper Bill Simmons of ESPN wrote “all Patriots fans made a pact to pretend that Brady’s 2010 hairdo isn’t happening. We’re going to ignore it completely, even if his hair catches fire during a game and a referee puts it out with a challenge flag”) and even teammates are giggling about it.
“That’s a grown man over there, he can do what he wants,” receiver Brandon Tate(notes) told the Boston Herald. “That’s on him.”
Even Justin Bieber himself has weighed in on Brady’s flowing mane. “Nice haircut, Brady,” the tween singing sensation told the Herald in an email. “Dude’s got golden locks. Haha!”

How is this not bad? Tom is either A) Throwing his wife under the bus to excuse an unpopular styling choice and/or B) telling the world that he’s p-ssywhipped. Personally, though, I tend to think Tom probably doesn’t give a sh-t about his hair and Gisele probably does, so he just does what she says. Or he does care, and thinks the longer hair makes him look stylish. Eh. Here’s what I don’t understand – if you’re a dude and you’re going to wear your hair long, why not style it slicked back? I think the problem with Brady’s hair isn’t so much that it’s long, it’s that he’s giving sports fans massive bangs trauma. He just looks idiotic, and like he’s clinging to some Justin Bieber-ideal of youth with the bangs. Slick it back!

I personally love the hair. Gisele is a fashion girl and probably thinks he looks ‘cute’ with the long hair. The problem is that the hair is a teenybopper haircut and people feel it doesn’t suit him since he’s a football player. Could it be an attempt from Gisele to make Tom look youthful?

There is a lot of speculation floating around New England about him not cutting his hair all year. I hope he doesn’t end up with a gross ponytail. I hate when football players grow their hair long. Why do you want to give the opposing team something to grab onto???

My brother and I have nicknames for all the QBs. Brady’s are “Princess” and now, “Rapunzel.” We thought it was hilarious that he had cry-abetes after the game. I guess I should add that, as Colts fans, we look for any opportunity to make fun of the Patriots, but Brady is making it too easy.

He is not my type of guy, but I think it looks good on him and in no way looks like Justin Beiber’s haircut. That style I despise and am grateful I don’t have any sons so I won’t have to put up with that look.
Also, that hairstyle, at least in those photos makes him look like a sports hero from the 1970′s a la Bruce Jenner.

I’m not entirely sure why he should care what anybody (OTHER than his supermodel wife) thinks about his hair. I despise the two of them, but I’m fairly sure most men who bag a supermodel would be happy to wear their hair any damn way she told them to.

Tom is not a slouch and not stupid. He is a gentleman and treasured by Boston fans. I imagine none of you have watched him during a press conference – he is well spoken, thoughtful and intelligent. Boston loves him. As for why he isn’t cutting his hair, I doubt any of it has to do with Gisele. And, no matter his hair style, he is quite handsome. Stop the hate, people…

If you live in the New England area, and you have seen his press conferences, if you know his history (no, not the stupid made-up relationship drama) then you wouldn’t say he was either dumb or a douche. He spends more time than any other local athlete working with charities, he took a pay CUT (WHAT athlete does this?) to stay with the Pats, and he comes across as thoughtful, kind, and totally unpretentious in the post-game press.
I can’t help it but it just bothers me that people hate him based on some made-up nonsense about his personal life.
I know I shouldn’t care but I just feel like all the hate is so unwarranted…Save it for Gibson and Sheen!

I used to like Brady OK, but he lost me toward the end of the Super Bowl game against the Giants.
His look of utter disbelief as he stood there, realizing that he was going to lose the game, was so telling. he (and the rest of that team) were so arrogant and thought there was NO WAY they’d lose the game. they believed their own hype. I don’t really care about his personal relationships, but his actions as an NFL player, his poor sportsmanship, is what did it for me.
And don’t even get me started on Bellicheat running off the field before the clock ran out. SORE LOSER.

@msmlnp-yes, obviously he makes tens of millions NOW. The Pats is the only team he’s ever known and he completely changed the team. If you followed the pats you would know that in 2005 he took an absurdly low signing bonus in comparison to Manning’s $34M as well as a ridiculously low salary to stay in NE (in comparison to what other teams were willing to pay for him).
Also, yes the car was GIVEN to him. Really you would insult them by saying ” no I don’t want it?” Blame Audi for not giving it to charity if you want but don’t blame Brady for taking it.
