It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from Usher and Tameka. At last check, Usher was telling the press that he wasn’t going to “pimp” out his son to the media – referring to the way many celebs have only agreed to sell pictures of their new babies for exorbitant amounts of money. Usher seems like he’s got a good head on his shoulders. Which is why no one could ever seem to figure out why in the world he married Tameka Foster. According to Young, Black & Fabulous, people’s prayers are being answered: Usher has filed for a separation.
…Extremely reliable sources close to Mr. Raymond himself have confirmed to TheYBF.com that Usher has indeed filed for separation from his wife of only 9 months Tameka Raymond. I’m told he actually filed three weeks ago. And Usher is torn on whether he will be making an official announcement or not as he wants to save face and just let it “leak”. How convenient that his album releases in exactly 6 days, his second video hit the net today, and his album leaked yesterday. We’ve been here before with the pre-album release publicity stunts (remember the Chilli breakup right before Confessions?). So I’m really not surprised.
But it is interesting that Mrs. Raymond was just on set with Usher for his MTV snippet tapings on Sunday. At the very beginning of their relationship almost a year ago, sources were screaming left and right that this whole relationship was a sham and Tameka was strictly a pawn. And their relationship was all for publicity for his soon to be released album. And clearly this may not have been as far fetched as people thought.
At this time, it’s unclear as to what reason–if any–Ursh is going to give for their separation. But I have two guesses…both of which fit the classic Usher-pre-album-release-publicity stunts he has pulled before with previous album releases. Either the beef between the Mrs. and Mama Ursh is too much for Usher to handle, or he found out baby Usher V is not his. Regardless, Urshmeka is chillin’ on Splitsville Lane right now and time will only tell how this is all about to play out.

Third possible reason? Tameka is a man. But we’ve gone over that before, and I can’t remember any of the good tranny jokes I’d saved up to use on her. It seems like singers are getting pretty damn creative – and personal – in the publicity for their album releases. Mariah got married to Nick Cannon, Ashlee Simpson got engaged/maybe knocked up by Pete Wentz, and Usher’s leaving Maneka. Whatever happened to signing CDs at your local Tower Records? I’m not certain, but I don’t think that even requires a lawyer.
The timing might be advantageous, but I bet Usher has more reasons to leave Maneka than he can even choose from. The beef with his mom, the way she’s all controlling, her penis… wait I guess I did remember a few of the tranny jokes. Maneka was reportedly hated by pretty much everyone in Usher’s life. That’s never a good sign. Hopefully they’ll be decent to each other for the sake of their young son.

Update by Celebitchy: Usher’s rep tells US Weekly this isn’t true and that “Usher and Tameka are currently traveling in Europe together as a family on his promotional tour. This rumor is completely false.”

None of us ever know people are attracted to someone, it is not always about looks. Maybe, more than any other woman, she rocks his world, maybe she takes care of him more than any other woman he has been with. When you are on the outside looking in, how do you know if two people are good fit beyond physical attractiveness which never ever sustains a relationship let alone a marriage.

It is ridiculous now that literally anything a famous person does, everyone accuse them of suspiciously timing it for publicity. Or maybe they are just living their lives, like all of us?! The guy sold a bunch of records before regardless of his marital status. People buy songs for how they SOUND, not because someone had a baby.

This divorce for Usher is probably the best. I did not see no love in thier relationship. In this day people need salvation. Too many marriages going sour then end with a nasty divorce. Usher should have listen to his mother’s advice. We can not make it in this wolrd without god. The bible is being fulfilled every day. People are not payin attention. There’s no time to play games. When god put two people together that marriage will last til the end. Yeah you may have your ups and down but together with prayer and having a relationship with the lord you can make it.

Hey give usher a break. i don’t think usher is ugly, but his wife is. i hope he divorce her and gets custody of his kids usher the 4th and i forget the other. from my understanding his family did not want him to marry her, 1 is that she is in her 40’s and he is about between 27-30. i thunk also another reason he wants to divorce her is because she want more surgery and the last procedure almost ended her life.

firstly, i’m sick of ugly men getting beautiful women and no one saying anything - its just “sweet”. but when a goodlooking man is with a average woman, suddenly everyone’s critical. if a woman isn’t goodlooking in general she’s judged so harshly, while men can look like whatever and no one comments. i’m sick of women being judged by their looks only. the thing is, usher isnt even good looking, he’s butt ugly, and yes while Tameka might be taller and bigger, looks-wise their about the same level. so stop judging her on her looks especially when u guys have no idea what kind of person she is. i dont think its a publicity stunt, and even if it is, who cares? if he wanted to marry her, whats it to the rest of the world? and if he’s divorcing her thats their issue not the public’s issue. so get over urselves and concentrate on ur own lives, not other peoples.

So I always picture usher with a smaller framed pretty woman…this one is almost twice his size, it looks like and she isn’t that pretty….I think getting married and so simply getting divorced is dreadful anyways, but as a publicity stunt? I wonder if she knew she was going to be that..
