I know a lot of you love Jennifer Garner. To me, she’s meh. And that may be why I’m a bit harsh on her red carpet outfits – she’s a client of Rachel Zoe, after all. And I hate to think Zoe would send her out looking like a drag queen. But that’s kind of what happened. First of all, I’m never a big fan of wearing the bright, dark color on top and wearing the light shade on the bottom. It makes women look top heavy, and perhaps it’s just me and my big rack, but the issue of being top-heavy is a lifelong struggle for me. Beyond the weird color combination, I think it’s all of the heavy jewelry…? Because Jennifer Garner is giving me a linebacker vibe. Too much going on around her shoulders and neck, and it makes her look really thick and mannish.
Also – this event that she’s walking the red carpet for – it’s totally B-list. She was the hostess of the 6th annual Pink Party, which raises money for breast and ovarian cancer research. Good cause, for sure. But the dregs of the C-list showed up – like Denise Richards and Michelle Trachtenberg. And there was Jennifer with her weird fishtail blouse.
Anyway, Jennifer spent the rest of weekend getting pap’d with her kids, like always. The Parade of Dimples lives on. Seriously, what is going on Jennifer these days? She just seems to mope around LA with her kids, doing nothing. It’s kind of weird. Correction: I mean that it’s weird that she’s not working, because she’s supposed to have a bunch of films in pre-production and she hasn’t worked in a while, not that it’s weird that she’s taking care of her kids. Also, she started another round of pregnancy rumors by pushing out her stomach for photographers, she flashed her butt crack, AND she wore some really great red boots. All in all, Jennifer stayed in the news. Good for her?

I think the colour is okay, but the outfit itself is just random.
The color of the top is fantastic and bectomes her but everything else about the outfit is a disaster. And i hate the spaniel hair. Ugh!
What makes it worse is that i’ve seen her look absolutely beautiful seeral times but all those times are so seldom. It’s weird for such a good looking woman.

I don’t think hot pink is her color. It kind of washes her out of a bit. I think she relies on her stylists too much, or doesn’t know how to properly style herself. Meh
Pink outfit does not do her justice – I think she’s gorgeous and has (for Hollywood) a great, athletic, normal looking body. As for the not working – maybe she just wants to hang with her kids while they’re young?
I love her….maybe she just wants to mix it up a little and take a risk.

Is this the doings of Rachel Zoe? I know she dresses her for red carpet events but this is kinda bad. I think the skirt which on its own without all the pink might be okay. The shoes, I don’t love. They could be cute but with something other than this. I don’t like the ‘street chanel’ look (all the necklaces) on the fabric of the shirt. That looks tends to look better on a stiff white shirt or a tailored blazer (hence the ‘chanel’ moniker)
She is a really cute down to earth woman. I loved her in Alias. I think her meh status happened when she married Affleck

I thought she looked good in something other than black for a change. The back of the shirt is horrific though.

god she looks unhappy. Even at the red carpet event there is something in her eyes. Maybe if she kicked that husband of hers to the curb she could get her self esteem back.

Those shoes are just wonderful. But why are there so many photos on the net of her and her girls? Is she such a big star that they need to be photoed so much?
It was OK until she turned around and that big pink butt flap was visible.
Maybe she hasn’t been working as much because of Ben getting his movie ready and traveling all over promoting it?
I know there are celebs who do all that kind of stuff for attention, but I never get that vibe from Garner. I think she’s just living her life and for some inexplicable reason gets followed every day (she’s not THAT interesting). Most of the shots of her are at the kids’ school or playground.

pre-motherhood she was staggeringly beautiful. I mean, I could languish looking at her pictures as if appreciating an untouchable work of art. now?…. meh to the point that I’m not even sure I would give her a second look if she passed me on the street. Don’t know if it’s Ben, or the physical changes afflicted by childbirth, or something else that we don’t even suspect, but I wish the old Jen would make a comeback.

I was at the party last night and thought her outfit was festive and fun, though I agree about the weird back of the shirt. You neglect to mention the evening’s other attendants included Carla Gugino, Connie Britton, Nikki Reed, Julie Benz, Marcia Cross, etc. Hardly “C-list” guests. BTW – Cancer knows no list.

Not sure what the crack about not working is about. Jennifer just finished working on Arthur with Russell Brand and she did at least one other movie the past year.
If the outfit was basic she could have looked nice. Too much necklaces, the weird extra material on the back of the blouse, and I guess I’m the only one who hates the fishy skirt.
There are a lot photos of Jennifer and her kids because they are out every day and it’s never a quick trip. They are always at the park or walking around town so the paps have a lot of time getting photos. I don’t think she does it for publicity just out with her kids. Hate to bring up other people but I don’t understand why people think it’s so cute and wonderful Jennifer is photographed everyday. Yet people call it exploitation when the Jolie-Pitt kids are photographed 3 or 4 times in a month. They are usually just photographed getting in/out of a car not the 2-3 hour photo-op other celebrities do.
I think she looks cute but VERY downcast, in all the pictures.

Jennifer Garner used to have a lovely fashion aesthetic that was classic and streamlined (with almost no jewelry). That was back when she was doing Alias and films though. Now, this mess of an ensemble has Zoe all over it. Not in a good way. Waaay too much jewelry which is how Zoe wears it. It seems like Garner has lost her personality and is just letting someone else tell her who she is (fashion-wise). Come on Jennifer! Where is your spirit girl?

I thought (because I watch Zoe’s show on Bravo) that she only dressed Garner for Awards shows? I mean honestly I don’t think this is Zoe’s doing- everytime Zoe’s dressed Jennifer on the show she looked absoulutley stunning.

Me thinks Ben’s statement on the Ellen show was very telling. He claimed he was madly in love, had a great family and life was very perfect for him right now. Something like that. My first thought was, who is he madly in love with, because every time I see him and Jen together I’m not seeing no love. His latest co-star, Rebecca Hall, however, could be a random guess. They looked very chummy at Canne, in a way I never see him behave with his wife. Then Jen showed up in Toronto and a picture of them posing together showed a very ashen-faced, livid looking Ben. Night and day. Something is up. Whenever women get pregnant before a proposal of marriage it’s considered a trap. Maybe the chickens are coming home to roost.
BTW, I like the shoes and the color of the blouse, the skirt not so much or the fake baubles around the neck.
Jennifer is pregnant again. She seems like such an engaging, hard working mom. If only her husband could be more hands on, she would be even happier.
Good color, bad cut and style. I used to think Jennifer Garner was a mediocre actress who tricked Ben Affleck into marrying her by getting pregnant. But then I watched all seasons of Alias! She was fantastic. I, also, watched old interviews with David Letterman and she was charming, funny, and joyful. So basically she was this talented kind of delightful woman and this marriage to Ben Affleck has somehow broken her spirit. She seems like she loves being a mom, but she generally looks unhappy and broken and Affleck keeps humiliating her with these flirtatious photographs that he must know are demeaning to her. It’s depressing because she really used to be wonderful, and she’s young enough that she still should be. Something bad is happening in that marriage. They both look miserable.
My boyfriend is convinced she’s a man (like really, he thinks she’s a man and the kids are adopted and ‘he’ wore a pillow to fake the pregnancies), so I showed him this article. He nodded sagely.

Men do break women’s spirits, especially when you are stuck with them due to children or actually love them (or think you do) but they don’t return the love. I feel bad for Jennifer but she must have known what kind of guy Ben was when she met him. He was a stripper chasing, drunken gambler type if I’m not mistaken. Not the type of man you fall for and have children with. Their relationship is doomed.

We have a nice backyard with a swingset, slide, sandbox, etc. I don’t get her and Jessica Alba and Gwen Stefani always being at public parks with their kids and then scowling at paparazzi.
