Jada Pinkett Smith’s face is still sketchy, but she got rid of the bangs trauma

painfuljada

All of us spent way too much time this summer talking about and thinking about Jada Pinkett Smith’s face. I asked you guys what was wrong/different with Jada when she started making a ton of appearances with her son Jaden to promote The Karate Kid. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and suggested that perhaps it was weight loss combined with some truly unfortunate Bangs Trauma wigs. Many of you disagreed, claiming that she had gone in for some Madonna-esque chicken cutlet implants. I’m starting to agree.

Anyway, these are new photos of Jada and Willow in Milan. I think Jada did a cute mother-daughter jaunt to Italy so that they could see some of the fashion shows – they were at Armani and Jada went to Pucci alone. Willow even put some white stuff at the end of her hair… to coordinate with her clothes, I guess? Sure. I do think Willow looks cute, by the way. And I bet she had a great time. I guess my point is that Jada seems like a great mom, and it hurts me to think that she’s f-cking with face, and sending the signal to Willow that once you get to a certain age, you have to get drastic surgery to look “young.” That being said, I’m so glad Jada put away the bangs trauma wig. That thing was hideous.

I respect Will and Jada and their family, they seem relatively drama free. Who knows about the face tweaking by Jada, but come on Willow? Fashion wise, she is so over done, trying to hard to look different. I despise the gimmicks many use to draw attention to oneself. Talent alone is just not enough anymore?

It seems to me that the modern beauty standards are running at a very fast speed towards this:

Jada used to be so beautiful and natural. And Willow is nothing but a plain pre-adolescent gangly girl. Put her in real play clothes and get her out of sight till she grows some sense and boobs.

  4. malachais says:

Yeah Jada is a beautiful woman, those cheek implants make her look face shape look odd. She is a fairly small woman, so I can imagine her profile has these weird bumps sticking out. I hate to be so judgmental with them, they seem so normal even with their funky style. I think this whole family needs a wardrobe makeover and new stylist.

  5. lulu says:

    Malorie, you are so right.

And how many other people do you see spending ‘mother-daughter’ time in Milan. These shows are for the grown ups, not the nine-year-olds!!!
The whole thing is yet another branding exercise, a la Lohan and just see where it ends up!

  6. xxodettexx says:

aww,, i think willow looks adorable! i used to dress pretty crazily as a child, sorta like my idol back then: punky brewster! 🙂

  7. Nanea says:

    Jada looks like an alien.

Oh, right, she is a $cientologist after all, even if she remains closeted.

No good mom should make her kids go to $ciento school, neither should a good mom raise her kids in a way that scream egotistical, vain, self-absorbed in every interview and red carpet appearance.

  8. spinner says:

Jada looks sinister & Willow looks ridiculous.

  9. Just a Poster says:

    uugh.

    Just uuuuuuuuuuuuugh.

  10. RHONYC says:

she’s doing the worst victoria beckham impersonation i’ve ever seen.

it’s going to be funny as hell when willow becomes taller than her. i can’t wait! haha 🙂

  11. sickofit says:

jada was so cute when she was younger why the mess up with her face? i dont get it.. and get that kid of the carpet, for *+’%& sake she is 9 years old!

  12. bagladey says:

@Malorie LMAO – that’s hilarious, but scarily true.

  13. PsychicEyes says:

Is it just me or is Jada turning into some alien?

If she wants to give her child the freedom to express herself then that it’s her choice. I do hope that she does not spoil the children to the point it backfires. Again, it’s her choice and she will have to live with those consequences.

  14. DiMi says:

She looks normal on Hawthorne, and she has always had very high cheekbones so I think she just has on some drag queen makeup and her hair is too severe. I think she’s also just too thin, and it’s making her look older and more skeletal. She’s still pretty, and I think Willow looks adorable.

  15. EMV says:

Jada looks unhappy…Willow looks like she is a teenager not 9.

  16. Jennifer says:

I don’t really have an opinion on Jada, I just love their family as a whole.

And, for everyone ragging on Willow, did you or did you not experiment in just plain awful styles as a child? I’m not saying Willow is, I quite like her style and her ability to basically do what she wants for herself and not because it’s the way others feel she should be.

But, the point is, she is experimenting. She may dress this way for the rest of her life, or this may be the first of many phases t come! She is a child, she’ll grow and change and make decisions as time goes on.

She may get to do it on a larger scale, but, get over it. 😉

  17. Alix says:

Jada’s always had a rock-hard lookin’ face. And now her daughter looks like a skunk.

  18. lucy2 says:

My first thought was “whoa, skunk hair!” But she’s a cute kid (looks just like Will) and if she’s into fashion, that’s great. But I agree with lulu a bit, about creating a brand. Which makes me sad, because she’s just a little kid.

Jada, who at one point was very beautiful, now always looks like her hair is pulled too tight, and like she barely has enough skin on her face to close her mouth. It looks painful! I don’t understand it.

  19. Confuzzle says:

She could slice ham with that face.

  20. whitedaisy says:

@Jennifer. Neither you or I had a stylist at the age of 9. This is less Willow expressing herself and more her stylist dressing her how the stylist sees fit.

  21. I received more than I bargained for with this blog. Attention grabbing topic. Will follow.
