Something weird happened at the Armani show in Milan yesterday. Two celebrity couples showed up, and my mind got blown. The first couple was George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis. They did their photo call with a lot of enthusiasm and overkill, and they brought the same vibe to their seats, front-row for the runway show. They were still all over each other, still touchy-feely and teenage-y. Like they’re so hot for each other. Like Eli is up for all of the kinky sh-t, and she’s even showed Clooney some new tricks. And just try to tell me Eli doesn’t look like a drag queen here:
Yeah. And then there was Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green. Younger and much less demonstrative, less eager to prove, it seems. They looked like they were on their best behavior – probably, because being the crotch of Armani is one of Megan’s few paying gigs lately. Now, as you may remember, I’m a new fan of BAG. I think he’s a nice guy. And I’ve even started liking BAG and Megan together, where I didn’t before. But there is a compare-and-contrast between Fox/BAG and Clooney/Canalis.
Both BAG and Canalis are now famous for their more famous partners. Both Fox and Clooney aren’t doing their best work right now, and both like to play games with the press. There’s some compare and contrast between Eli and Megan too – it seems like Megan would be Clooney’s type as well, doesn’t it? Megan is the younger version of Eli, if Megan hadn’t met BAG and gotten married. I don’t know… just random thoughts to go with pretty photos. What would the world have done if Clooney had ended up with a girl like Megan? He did – it’s just that she’s a bit older than Megan and all of Eli’s stupidity is limited to the Italian press, so she doesn’t get as much sh-t.
So – who do you prefer? BAG/Fox or Clooney/Canalis? Or the would-be power couple of Fox/Clooney?

Megan Fox looks beautiful in the photos above. I hope that she and her husband last, cause they seem sweet together.
I know peeps love to hate on Elisabetta but I think she is beautiful. She does have a bit of a more….IDK….’masculine’ look to her face? But I still think she’s fabulous. She seems athletic and very natural. I like her!

According to several reports coming out of Italy, Canalis was not expected at the Armani show and basically crashed it, while dressed in a Cavalli suit no less. A couple had to be moved so that she could sit next to George. Of course Armani’s people had to make room for her and George had to pretend he was happy she was there after she showed up. It was a publicity stunt on her part, but a very rude one.

Hmmm. Interesting story. Wonder if its true. They do move people for celebs, happened to us once. We at an event at the Kodak Theater (where Academy Awards are held) in H’wood & they asked hubby & I to move to the front row center! We were so excited–couldn’t believe we were sitting there! Then after the show started, Denzel W & wife showed up and then they moved us back a few rows so he could have our seats. We were still closer than our original tix, so we didn’t care, but that kind of thing does happen.
@jane16: Were you at an awards ceremony or something? Because if you were at some kind of a televised event where celebs will be, then you were probably (unknown to you) doing the job of what is known as a ‘seat filler’.

Camille, oh, we were def seat fillers! Our seats were in the very back for this show (which was televised), and when the vips in the front few rows don’t show up, they scout around and look for people to put in those seats. We were the only ones they put in the front row that night and it was fun to sit there while it lasted! Even after they moved us, the seats were still better than what ours were, so we didn’t mind. We didn’t pay for our original tix anyway. Hubbie gets free tix to lots of things from his job…premieres (yuck), concerts and shows (yea!), and Lakers, Trojans & Dodgers (Best of all!)

Thanks Aqua, but we’re pretty run-of-the-mill for the area we live. We’re middle class and have had our share of tragedy and hardship, but are very happily married and happy family life, which I value most of all. Hubbie works in movie ind. & I used to work at a swank country club that was/is popular with the celeb set, so we do have a stockpile of funny celeb stories. I will try to roll them out as the subjects come up.
Anyone wondering about Brian Austin Green, he has a new gig as the hottie Construction worker on “Desperate Housewives” he was on the Season Priemere last Sunday, I know he will be on at least 5 more episodes maybe more. So he is actively working.
As for the hotness. I would so do BAG. Megan Fox looks plastic, but they do seem like a real married couple.
