I'm all for religious freedom, and it's not so much the beliefs that bother me, as it is the tactics. Scientologists just sound like really frightening people, or at least the higher ups. I don't know if Travolta is as "passionate" as ones like Tom Cruise, but you never know. Miley Cyrus is rich and influential, and young, if Scientology got her in their clutches, it would probably open the door for a lot more youth followers. Scientology scares me. Whether its faith or religion, or not to have either and approach it scientifically. Scientology on the other hand is not based on actual science at all, but science-fiction. Recruits members through brainwashing techniques. Not only do they cause financial harm to its members but physical harm as well. It fits into the classic mold of a cult. The way non-scientologists can help bring it down is to spread awareness and fight to have its tax immunity revoked. Stop bickering amongst yourselves and take action against the real problem, scientology.
