Sex and the City premiere and after party pictures

The Sex and The City US premiere was held at New York’s Radio City Music Hall last night. After premiering the film in London, then in Berlin, the gang finally headed to the states for the much-anticipated opening. US Weekly reports that dressed fans screamed and swarmed the premiere, many of whom had arrived early in the morning trying to get a seat.

Sarah Jessica Parker said “The best part about making the movie was being back with the women on the set all day every day, and the best part about tonight is being here with you and being with the fans.”

Pictured, in order, at the premiere are Sarah Jessica parker wearing “a silver Nina Ricci bustier gown,” Cynthia Nixon spot-on in flowing white Narciso Rodriguez, Kim Cattrall in Vivienne Westwood, and Kirsten Davis in Donna Karan. Also shown are Matthew Broderick, Darren Star (with Kirsten Davis), Jennifer Hudson, Ashley Olsen looking really cute here, Molly Sims, Mary J Blige, David Eigenberg aka “Steve,” Jason Lewis, Fergie, Chris Noth, ‘Lil Kim, Willie Garson, and Mario Cantone. Also shown are after party pictures at Momo, which include Lindsay Lohan’s girlfriend Samantha Ronson, who was probably DJing and looked the same as she always does. Thanks to WENN for these photos.

  1. I’m not crazy about Kim’s dress. I love them all but these are not my favorite dresses! I do like Cynthia’s, though.
Lil Kim scared the crap out of me. I thought it was a gremlin jumping out of my screen! Good gods, what has she done to her face???
And Samantha Ronson is looking skankalicious! (blech)

  2. Kim looks like she can barely move in that dress - one false move and something would be popping out! It’s just not very flattering at all.

  3. I agree - Kim’s dress is a real fire-the-stylist moment. I don’t think Kirsten Davis’s is that much better, though.

Nice to see SJP looking classy. That’s the sort of dress I’D like to wear if I had a film premiere.

  4. I’m developing quite the girl crush on Ms. Nixon. She looks divine and yet so easy breezy.

  6. I am of quite different opinion regarding the SATC women’s dresses.
I absolutely love Sarah Jessica Parker’s look. It’s fabulous but not show off. And it matches her skin/hair/eyes scheme perfectly.
I don’t mind Kim Catrall’s dress at all. It is a Westwood piece, after all. You can’t expect something classic and “in the normality zone” by Vivienne… This is actually rather girlish and very feminine for Vivienne Westwood (remember, she was the Queen of Punk of the fashion world until she decided that punk definitely is dead about a year ago). It has an unusual twist and I would definitely love to owe that dress.
Nixon’s dress leaves me a little bored and silent. It’s not bad at all though.
The stylist to be fired would be the one who dressed Kirsten Davis. The dress isn’t ugly at all but I think there are much more flattering cuts for Davis. And the bronze colour doesn’t really fit into the cold&light shades theme of the rest of the cast (bronze would have been okay but not as main colour).

  7. I think Cynthia scores the most points. Kim’s legs look a little chunky - she should have gone for something long - and Kristin looks like a candy bar.

  8. I don’t like any of the leads’ dresses. CN’s seems the prettiest, but she doesn’t look all that happy in the photos, which is a shame.

  9. They all look great but I am a little disappointed because I thought that the NY premiere would be bigger and more impressive then the other ones they previously had. I like the London premiere more. Well, it does not matter that much anyway.

Also, I heard that the SATC movie got very good reviews.

  11. I don’t like Kristin’s Dress at all. She looks puffy in it and there are better colours for her anyways. The rest of the dresses are rather nice to look at. Kim’s dress had a reported malfunction (it was kinda sticking between her a**cheeks which she totally laughed away… real pro she is! 8) ) but otherwise it was a good dress for her. Ashley Olson doesn’t just look cute but HEALTHY for a change. She obviously put on some much needed weight. And Jason Lewis… gosh, he is sooo hot!!! :P

The ladies look lovely, as always. I’m looking forward to a “girl’s night out” with my lady-friends, complete with; “broke-ass” cosmos, 2-for-1 beer specials, and tipsly sneaking into the movie theater to see these lovable bitches - all on a Tuesday night.

But Elvis, I’m a bit confused . . . if you don’t follow trends, honey, why are you posting on a gossip website?

Gossip is a bit of trend, darlin’. Just don’t want you to get a big head ’bout things. ;) You’re just as salacious as the rest of us! And there’s no harm in admitting you like a funny, clever series, regardless of how popular it is, ya dig?
