In a story that I expected to hear months ago, an insider tells In Touch that George Clooney broke up with his much-younger cocktail waitress girlfriend, Sarah Larson. This news comes a little over two weeks after an interview with “It Girl” Larson was published in Harper’s Bazaar. The 29 year-old Fear Factor winner dished on how she met George, called him “funny and sweet” and said she wanted to get him to wear designer jeans and style his hair in a fauxhawk. The interview came off as lame and bland to me, but maybe I was taking it out of context.
The last time these two were seen out at an event was at the Fashion Institute Gala in New York on May 5. Sarah held her head up high while she posed with George, who seemed to only have eyes for Julia Roberts, who looked serene.
Supposedly George arranged to be out of the house while he had Sarah move her stuff out. It sounds like he let her down easy:
George Clooney has broken up with Sarah Larson after nearly a year of dating. According to a friend of Sarah’s, the Leatherheads star recently moved out of his LA home while the 29-year-old former Las Vegas cocktail waitress removed her belongings. “George is relieved to be single again,” says an insider. “He thinks Sarah is sweet and that is why it was so hard to break up with her.” As In Touch previously reported, George, 47, and Sarah struggled to make their relationship work because of their different backgrounds. “The truth is that they had little in common and he just doesn’t want to be tied down,” explains the insider. George’s rep told In Touch: “I can only confirm that we have never commented on George’s personal life.”

In Touch says they’ve been dating for almost a year after getting reacquainted at the Oceans 13 premiere after party, where Larson was working. George and Sarah got into an accident on his motorcycle in late September last year, with some eyewitnesses claiming he told Sarah he loved her in the moments after the crash when she was lying on the ground. Sarah hobbled away from the accident with a broken toe and Clooney’s renewed affections, which predictably waned down the line. There’s likely little she could have done to keep Clooney’s interest. His relationships in recent years have been notoriously short-lived.

My boyfriend has a reputation for being a bit of a jerk, and his group of friends are always expressing their surprise that I’ve stayed with him this long. The reality is that he’s one of the sweetest and nicest men that I’ve ever dated - but I keep this fact very quiet. Because (I’m generalizing here) men don’t like their business being talked about, especially when it comes to personal feelings.
So I go along with his jerky reputation, and only share when it’s this kind of situation - when I have a fake screen name.

If it is true, I feel badly for Sarah. I don’t know why… Surely she knew what she was getting into, after all. But I guess I sympathize with that part of her that probably thought, Maybe I AM the one to change him…

Shouldn’t someone mention that Mr Clooney is not just a pretty face. He actually has the balls to put his celebrity to good causes once in a while. He does more than walk the red carpet for Cancer research. He actually sticks his neck out. He makes an intelligent and well crafted film once in while(Goodnight and Good Luck etc.). Does anyone really know anything about his personal sexual life? Isn’t it awful when someone that obviously good looking is successful? Doesn’t it just want to make you tear it all down? The guy is all man no matter where he puts his Willy. Doesn’t that just irk you the most?

“The truth is that they had little in common …” I could have told you from the start that a 47 year old man would have little in common with a 29 year old woman. This relationship was all about sex, and it lasted until George became bored. I agree with everyone who says it comes as no surprise - George has repeated many times his love of being single and his aversion to marriage. No big shocker here.

Julia looks amazing, and I agree with you TPVERO, George Clooney actually gives a rats and puts his money where his ethics are and doesn’t spend his whole life talking utter drivel (can anyone say “Sharon Stone?”). He’s incredibly handsome, and by all accounts he’s caring and kind. He’s friends with some of Hollyweird’s most stable people and isn’t falling out of clubs drunk and or stoned every second week. A decent man by all accounts who deserves to be allowed to decide whom he wants to keep company with…yay or nay.

Ms. Larson is not getting the boot empty-handed. I saw her on an L.A. modeling company’s website and now she’s getting magazine interviews? Just for dating Clooney? WTF? If he was upset with what she revealed during that interview, I can only imagine what she’ll reveal to one of the magazines now! He probably has a small peepee and she actually broke it off with him. I hope she can still sue for the motorcycle accident though-she broke a bone and that’s serious cash! Go Sarah! One for the “little people”!

This is an excellent lesson for those in similar situations…she lost her appeal after she became willing to totally merge her life into his…those kind of people become heavy and clingy and are eventually disposed of. Keep your life and work the other person into it..don’t totally quit living your own life because the other person might have money, et. Don’t be so available. Make em work for you!Aren’t you worth it?

I don’t understand why so many of you think he is into men when he is constantly with women? AND he has been in the business with Brad for like 25 years now…and they have been best friends for the last at least 15 or since they first started doing the ocean’s movies. Who in the world could even be around a gentle,smart, giving ,caring,funny, gorgeous, soul like Brad and not genuinely love him for being him..not sexually. Why do you think he is into men in THAT kind of way when he sleeps with women?

I didn’t think it would last much longer after the pics of her partying and acting like a slut in Vegas came out. I’m no angel, but when u have photographic proof of things, it’s hard to refute or deny. George, I’m sure, wants a classy woman at his side. Sarah is very pretty, and I’m sure she’ll get some kind of cash out of being linked to Clooney; perhaps modeling contracts, etc. I am sure Clooney let her down easy too. He’s just a classy guy and pretty or not, she’s too young for him. I know he wont ever marry again, but he needs to be with someone who knows something about the world, not a cocktail waitress. Just my opinion. Nothing against Ms. Larson.

If she’s smart, she networked like hell during their humpping time together. For, all that access is now gone. I hope she was smart enough to know it was going to end sometime. If not, it’s her fault for getting involved with him in the first place. After all, no one forced her…

I never believed George was homosexual, but now I am beginning to have my doubts. He treats women like they are so much garbage. Why do women fall for his crap? He may truly be in love with Pitt. They deserve each other. They both have little respect for women or the promises they make to them.
