I hope you all are sitting down, because I have some shocking news. Newlywed Ashlee Simpson is pregnant! I know- I had no idea, either! Simpson and her new husband Pete Wentz confirmed what everyone else already knew: Ashlee has just completed her first trimester of pregnancy. So now the question is: did Ashlee wait to confirm her condition because she wanted to do the customary “wait until the third month” thing, or did she want to wait until she and Pete were married? Wait. That’s not the question. The question is, “Who gives a crap?”
Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have confirmed they are expecting their first child.
They announced the news — which Usmagazine.com first broke in April — on his Web site, friendsorenemies.com, on Wednesday.
“While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child,” they wrote. “This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.”
The couple wed in Los Angeles on May 17. They just returned from their honeymoon to the Caribbean.
So, it really was a shotgun wedding after all. How quaint! I don’t know if the pregnancy and the baby are going to help their image or Ashlee’s album sales, but congrats- I guess. I’m sure we will get a comment from Papa Joe any day now, and he will be selling off photos of Ashlee’s growing baby bump to the highest bidder. One thing’s for sure - this kid will have horrible taste in music, and will probably emerge from the womb with eyeliner, fringe bangs and its own reality show.

That is fine that they are pregnant. But Emo made that stupid comment about how just because a young couple are getting married doesn’t mean they are pregnant. What a damn idiot. I’m not judging them for getting preggy and getting married but I sure hope their kid is smarter than they are.

Ok, so the Simpsons are a bit freaky, but I think pregnancy looks good on her, she looks better than she has in a long time. Happy, perhaps, or the pregnancy glow. So shoot me.

Well, Pete and Ashlee are adults who can provide well for their kiddo. They seem like they really love each other…they’ve been together quite a while. While marriage isn’t always the best choice when a baby is on the way, it kind of seems like these two would have gotten married anyhow. Congrats to them! Only time will tell what kind of parents they make. Here’s to hoping that they’re good ones.

Which is why I am against plastic surgery, false advertising for breeding purposes, it’s just not right. At least when you’re young and still shopping gene pools.

i was actually thinking the opposite.
sometimes in her body language and facial expressions recently ashlee looks very sad- i don’t think this was planned and the stats for shotgun weddings staying together are not great.
but she does seem to have a very supportive partner and her parents are young enough to help out.
who knows, even her sister could turn out to be a great aunt?
i do feel sorry for ashlee bc she will miss out on some things other young newlyweds get to do.
doesn’t it seem like just yesterday she was on camera drunk and yelling on a counter in mcdonalds?
