They both wear their high heels with their skinny jeans. And both Jessica Simpson and Tom Cruise need to stop doing that sh-t. They look like they’re trying way too hard. Tom needs to stop pairing his lifts/heels with skinny jeans because the tapered leg draws attention to the fact that he’s wearing three-to-four inch heels. Jessica needs to stop because this style is crazy unflattering, especially since she’s being photographed at the airport, where everyone can see what she looks like in skinny jeans and NO heels – bad. Anyway, these are photos of Jessica and her boyfriend at LAX yesterday. Yes, they’re still together, despite rumors to the contrary. As LaineyGossip says, “He’s not going anywhere. Beyond the unfortunate pairing of skinny jeans and Louboutins (right? I can see the red sole), what else do Tom and Jessica have in common? They both let their partners shop on their dime. They both like beefy football players? That’s all I’ve got.
I honestly don’t know how Jessica even gets into these jeans. And I don’t know why she would want to. Only girls like Sienna Miller can pull off this look, and even then, just barely.

I loathe skinny jeans.
Think of her figure when she played Daisy Duke – imagine the starvation and work outs she must have had to do to be so skinny. She looks refreshingly “average” in these photos.

Trolly Dolly: my thoughts exactly. Lets be honest, Jessica is gorgeous. She is not however, a skinny lithe creature who’s feet barely grace the earth as she glides by in life. As mean as the press has been to her over the years in regards to her figure, she is in fact her own worst enemy. Because clearly the girl has struggled with her diet and exercise routines and with trying to figure out how much energy she wants to put into being a weight that is not easy to maintain. ARE WE ALL BORED YET?

On the other hand, I feel free to bash the girl for having a horrible fashion sense while also having a fashion line, jeans line, shoe line, bag line etc. She sells fashion design and the concept of being stylish?!? God help me! She is not a business woman because otherwise she would realize that she is the brand and needs to look fierce to sell the goods baby! i think now youre just being a little mean. most 20-something girls rock the skinny jeans/heels combo (including myself) and most of us arent super skinny, just like jessica. it’s a fun look, and she is by no means fat. plus, those shoes are aMAzing.

I think she’s too apple-shaped (and short) to wear skinny jeans and a short boxy coat. She carries all her weight in her torso while still having thin legs and arms, so the skinny jeans and tan jacket only draw attention to her odd proportions, making her look shorter and squatter than she really is. I’m 8 mos pregnant and I can pull of skinny jeans better than she can (but then again, I’m 5’10”). 🙂

Skinny jeans and high heels is usually a good way to make you look leaner and taller, and sometimes adds nice curves to someone who (like me) is a little fuller in the bust than the hip. I have narrow hips despite having a bubble butt, so skinnies help fill out the bottom half of my hour glass from the front. People with big hips should NOT wear skinnies, but I disagree with people saying it’s a poor choice in general. It’s a poor choice for pears and women with a lot of hip, which is a lot of the female population and Jessica Simpson these days. But don’t hate on the skinnies just because they don’t suit your body type. Flares aren’t much better. They shorten the leg entirely. The only kind of jean that usually looks good on everyone is a nice, dark wash straight leg or boot cut.
Something interesting I’m finding, that popped in my head after reading @Kim’s comment is this – it’s funny how if a woman were to set aside her education and career to be with her man, she’s probably just so in love and will make any sacrifice to be with “the one.” But if a man does it, he’s a free loader. Now, is her guy actually a free loader? Maybe. Or maybe he sacrificed for the person he thought was the one and we should change our weird, gendered notion of what makes a loyal lover and what makes a free loader. Are you all telling me that women who give up there jobs or educational goals are free loaders and gold diggers? Because that would probably make a lot of your own moms not seem so noble anymore.

in the picture where she is barefoot in just her black t shirt she looks fine. Her jeans look normal and I think her legs look nice – normal size thighs, normal looking girl. Why can only skinny girls wear “skinny” jeans and look good – I rock skinnies all the time, and I have big muscular thighs, and I think I look good!
Padiddle – I usually think skinnies look best on girls either with no curves (because it gives them some), or girls with nice, muscular shapely legs – like soccer players legs. It’s a good way to accentuate the toned curvature of an athletic leg. btw, I’m totally jealous, because I was born with chicken legs 🙁

Well, I guess we proved once again that what looks good is a matter of opinion. I think skinny jeans look awful on me….I have boobs and a butt, with hips to go along and I think they make me look shorter and dumpy. Someone else with my build might wear them and think they look amazing. It’s all a matter of opinion.

I have a similar body type as jessica (she may be a little larger in the chest/arms area) and skinny jeans are just not good for us curvier girls. It is a trend I refuse to participate in. There are tons of jeans that look great on girls with curves and an ass. Leggings are another trend that should only be worn by girls that are 5′ 10″ 120 lbs. I am guilty of wearing them because they are so damn comfy. The shoes are freaking amazing tho, no complaints there

KJ -I’m sure plenty of women would kill for your “chicken legs” – I always wanted super long, thin legs. Alas, I am 5’2″ and used to hate my “chunky” thighs – but I’ve recently accepted that my legs are pretty nice, even if my thighs are big!
