Matt Damon & Luciana are expecting another girl – their fourth!

I read this on Tuesday, but I didn’t think it was true. Or rather, I didn’t think it was confirmed. But it turns out that Matt Damon did confirm that he and his wife Luciana are having yet another daughter – their third together, plus Lucy has another daughter from a pre-Damon relationship. So in another month, Matt will be in a household with FIVE women. That’s some Kardashian-Jenner junk, for real.

He’s being outnumbered! Matt Damon and wife Luciana Barrosa are expecting another girl, Damon tells UsMagazine.com. The Oscar-winning actor, who turned 40 last week, and Barrosa already have two daughters, Isabella, 4, and Gia, 2, as well as Barrosa’s daughter, Alexis, 11, from a previous relationship.

Their new baby is due next month.

“I’m thrilled,” Damon told Us Sunday at the New York Film Festival’s Hereafter premiere. “I can’t wait to meet her.”

Damon — who quietly wed Luciana in 2005 — has credited his kids with keeping him grounded in Hollywood.

“It’s pretty easy to kind of lose your way… having kids is really helpful,” he once told Parade magazine. “They kind of disabuse you of the notion of your greatness pretty quickly. There’s a routine that you get into with kids that precludes you from going back to your single days. I’m probably more boring than I used to be. I go to bed earlier and I get up earlier.”

[From Us Weekly]

I don’t see Matt as the kind of man who is in any way bummed to have a house full of girls – unlike Ben Affleck, who I think actually actively wants a son. Plus, with four little girls, chances are that one of them will be a baseball-loving tomboy, right? And if not, Matt should just be prepared to be shellacked in glitter for the next two decades. There are totally worse things.

my hubby and i have four grown daughters. they adore their dad and shower him with love and attention year-round, not just on father’s day. matt damon is in store for a wonderful life with his girls. there’s nothing like the dad/daughter bond. it’s enduring and lovely.

  2. jessiee says:

    tiki — that’s a lovely response. Just lovely. 🙂

  3. workerbee says:

Is it just me or does he get hotter as he has more kids? Maybe it’s the “family man” that’s making me hot.

  4. Johnny Depp's Girl says:

This is soo sweet. He sounds like a really great dad and as I have suspected for a long time, a true man. Its a welcome change to see this in an actor.

    Congratulations Matt and Lucy!

My former boss has 5 daughters (and no sons). I’ve never met a man before that had so much respect for women (he also has sisters, no brothers). His only complaint was that he was really sick of Barbie pink.

  7. Samigirl says:

Goodness they are sweet together. It’s so nice to see a loving, happy celebrity family.

  8. mel says:

All that estrogen in that house, lol better luck next time.

“His only complaint was that he was really sick of Barbie pink.”

    That’s adorable. lol!

That just goes to show you can’t tell the sex by how the woman carries. Congrats to them!

  10. Rosanna says:

Oh no Matt don’t worry… You’ve ALWAYS been boring LOL

  11. Tia C says:

Yes, boring is the operative word here.

  12. Po says:

Girls are way more expensive but I think he can afford it. lol

  13. Katie says:

I picture his girls being total daddy’s girls and him just loving it! Adorable.

  14. RHONYC says:

alexis, isabelle, gia…sounds like teresa giudice’s girls. lol

    congrats! 🙂

  15. Bodhi says:

Aw! Congrats to the Damon family! I bet he is already used to stepping on stabby Barbie shoes in the middle of the night 🙂

  16. Keyanna says:

They just need to stop. Please stop.

  17. Ferguson. says:

I have two sisters, and no brothers… and my dad is one of the men who respect women the most, I love him so much, the father-daughter relationship is beautiful when you make it work.

    Congrats to Matt and Luciana!.

  18. Rose says:

Cute, I think Jennifer and Ben have another one on the way too.

  19. Tannith says:

Okay am I the only one who thinks she needs to not wear leopard print? She looks absolutely awful

  20. whateva says:

no boys in the sperm bank matt, lol girls are way cooler than boys anyway…

  21. TG says:

@tiki and others on here I agree with you. My husband has 2 young teen daughters and we are about to have a girl together and he is the best dad and loves the girls so much which is one reason I married him.

And if Ben or Matt wanted a boy they could pay to ensure they get a boy so makes me like Matt even better that he didn’t do that.

  22. tripmom says:

We are expecting triplet girls in less than a month. My husband is SUPER excited; he really wanted girls, but I worry sometimes if he realizes what it will be like being in a household of four women. I’m not even sure how I’m going to handle it! It’s so refreshing and reassuring to see and hear about guys that handle it so gracefully. Thank you for sharing your stories!

  23. Anastasia says:

My husband only has girls and he loves it. Wouldn’t have it any other way. They ARE more expensive when they get older, but that’s ok.

And yeah, she needs to ditch the leopard print. I thought she had two bellies from the front, but it’s an optical illusion brought on by her thighs.

  24. MSMLNP says:

And yet I am the opposite, expecting my 3rd boy…even my dog is male.

I think you get what you are supposed to get. I have a low tolerance for drama and mind games that girls can be more prone to dishing up, and don’t mind grunt responses and scuff marks on my walls so much, so while I would have loved some pink in my house, I am just as happy with my brood of boys.

I agree, much hotter since he has had kids. I think they seem very well suited for each other. Best of luck to them.

  25. TG says:

@tripmom – Wait until your husband is playing dolls or dressup with the girls. It will melt your heart.

  26. ughhh says:

I saw this pic earlier this week, and I suspected she was having another girl…big ole boobies and she’s 8 months and that belly is sitting up so high! And I think she looks FABULOUS! Go on home in that leopard print to your huge mansion and HAWT hubby, YOU GO GIRL!

  27. crtb says:

She looks awful in tha leopard print dress. Never could understand what he saw in the bartender. Girls are horrible as teenagers. God help them!

  28. Liana says:

My dad has three girls and he said he’s never regretted not having a boy. He is such a wonderful dad. And my husband has a little girl from his first marriage and his best friend has two girls. It’s so cute to see these tattooed, long haired rocker dudes with their girls.

  29. Carrie says:

My grandpa (like a father to me) only has granddaughters, and he’s really happy about it- says if he had a grandson he’d probably feel left out. There is something about the girl/dad(granddad) relationship that is pretty special.

I like this family a lot.

  30. angela says:

Damon’s wife is lucky. She came from Argentina on a tourist visa and met him while working as a waitress in Miami.

  31. nana says:

crtb, do you have ONE positive cell in your body???!!!

  32. Lynda says:

    Boys smell funny anyway…
