My health teacher in high school, who had eaten monkey brains, survived an alcoholic insanely-abusive mother, and who had disguised her gender so that she could sit in on a male coming-of-age ritual in Borneo, said the one thing she'd never ever do is get in the middle of a fight between two high school-age girls.
