I keep forgetting that Kristen Stewart has a new, non-Sparkly film coming out. It’s called Welcome to the Rileys, and Kristen plays a stripper who befriends James Gandolfini’s character, and in essence becomes his surrogate daughter (because his real daughter died). I think Kristen did this film a while back, and even now they’re still having problems getting it a wide release, I guess because no one wants to see Bella as a trashy New Orleans stripper. This film hasn’t even had a real premiere yet! Anyhoodle, there are some assorted K-Stew interviews out there, so I’m just doing some highlights:
Kristen on dyeing her hair from blonde (for On the Road) back to dark brown (for Breaking Dawn): “I was blonde a little while ago. So now I’m dark again for Twilight… I feel much more myself with darker hair.”
Kristen’s Riley’s director on what Kristen is like: “She ate badly, smoked tons of cigarettes, stayed up late,” Scott said. “She embraced the habitual nature of the character.”
Kristen is on a diet: “Well, it’s kind of embarrassing,” she told PEOPLE. “But I’m playing a vampire soon. I eat disgustingly normally. And so, right now, I’m trying to not put so much butter in my food and stuff like that.” And is the diet working? “Yeah, yeah,” she answered “I feel better . . . I guess so.”
On learning how to flaunt her sexuality as a stripper: “Well, I mean, like, doing this movie … one shocking thing was to find how easy it is [to flaunt your sexuality]… Like, I went to a strip club with the director and the costume designer and it being an odd grouping of people going into a strip club in the middle of the afternoon, I was, like, straight-up offered a job. And then walking around New Orleans wearing the kind of stuff I was wearing literally could be like boom, boom, boom, done. But I would never do that.”
On Breaking Dawn: “I’m so happy that we’re doing two movies, because we would have had to cut out so much – it would have been almost near impossible! I’m excited about a lot of little bits, but mostly excited about Bella’s [dramatic change]. It all comes to fruition. You finally get what you’ve been begging for. It feels good!”

She sounds less angst, although the one line that stood out to me was “And then walking around New Orleans wearing the kind of stuff I was wearing literally could be like boom, boom, boom, done. But I would never do that.” Our little Kristen would never dress like a stripper in real life. She will only dress like a truck driver, I suppose. NO, that’s unfair. Her fashion is getting loads better through the years. By the time Breaking Dawn’s promotion is upon us, Kristen’s wardrobe should be killer.

She’s like all the other celebrities,when they’re not working they eat all kinds of junk,then when they get ready to promote the movie they try to shed the unwanted pounds.Sounds pretty normal to me.

The picture of Kristen smiling in the cab: she looks so natural and real – unlike how she acts in movies. She is so restrained and unnatural in movies. Everytime I see her ‘act’, I just keep thinking why an orthodontist never recommended something for her bottom jaw thrust. Agh.

I just watched Adventureland… and did not realize it was the sparkle girl playing Em… while viewing the film.
So from that one movie she seems to be a decent actress. I bought her as that character. And it was a sweet movie.

She is great and I rarely see her at a premiere looking bad — her dresses are original and not boring. And I like that during her personal time she dresses her age and has fun. I hope she and RP last too — great couple.
