Last night was the big event for Elle Magazine’s “Women In Hollywood”. Gwyneth Paltrow was one of several honorees (also included: Diane Keaton and Annette Benning). There was some particularly bad fashion that I’ll get to in other posts. Right now I want to make it all about Gwyneth’s Pumpkin Goop. Paltrow wore this pumpkin-colored fitted dress to the event. It’s kind of “Wow!!” moment for me. I never would have picked this color for any woman, let alone for Gwyneth for a red carpet event… and yet, Goopy pulls it off, doesn’t she? You wouldn’t think that pumpkin would be one of her colors, but she looks really cute and surprisingly chic in orange. Does anyone else kind of wish she would chop her hair off again, though? I’m a little tired of the long hair, parted in the center. Also, look at the back of the dress:

In addition to the Women In Hollywood event, Goopy also went out to dinner last night, and she went for an old-faithful color – shades of grey. Now that I’ve seen her in orange, I want more pops of color.

Ugh, I cannot stand the Goopster, but she does look stunning in that orange dress. And are those extentions in back, or has she just let it grow that long?

All of that starvation, liquid diets and working out with Madonna’s trainer didn’t pay off. I was shocked at her bikini body, she definitely looks better with clothes on.

Seeing Goopy here looking as if she has no idea how to use a conditioner, and then seeing pics of other attendees makes me wonder about one thing:
Why does everyone’s hair look so bad?
Some people don’t seem to know how to wash their hair, others look like they own a brush but haven’t gotten round to reading the owner’s manual yet, and a few look as they can’t afford to pay a hair stylist, not even Ken Paves, who’s a hack IMHO.

she looks amazing.
also, now that she isn’t hanging with madonna so often [it seems], she looks more like her old self. and happier. And, she may be getting back into acting, and say wha tyou will, but I nearly always enjoy her on screen. I think she’s a solid actress, regardless of her hollywood connections.
oscar aside, she is enjoyable on screen, IMO.
I agree she is insufferable and a snob, etc. but she is beautiful.

i am surprised there were no baby bump comments regarding the third dress. I think it makes her look preggers. I think the orange dress is pretty from the front and ok from the back (she has a nice ass for being nearly 40 years old and having birthed two children).

I would call that tangerine. And yes, it is a very juicy color and she pulls it off nicely with her warm coloring, neutral makeup and shoes.

It doesn’t look cut correctly from the front – especially at the waist – but from the back it’s pretty. That is a good color for her.
