Since the only Britney Spears news lately is her biweekly paparazzi outings to Starbucks, I am forced to “make up” news, which is why there is a proliferation of weekly updates about Brit-Brit’s weave. Britney is getting wise to me, though. On Tuesday, she went out for a latte (or whatever she drinks) and she decided to wear a jaunty little bowler hat for the journey. Wait… is this a bowler hat? It’s not a fedora. It’s not a cloche. But I don’t think it’s officially a bowler either. Whatever, she covered up her busted, mangy weave with a busted hat. But never fear, Britney still had something newsworthy happen! She got TURNED AWAY from the mothership – Starbucks had a power outage, and Britney’s whole day was ruined! Plus, she’s covering her lip like she has a cold sore. NEWS!
Pop Princess Britney Spears was a little self-conscious this morning about her lip as she headed to the Commons in Calabasas, California on October 19, 2010 for some shopping and coffee with her patient bodyguard. Britney was denied entrance to the stores of her choice and Starbucks because of a power outage and headed back to the car but why was she hiding her lip from the cameras and acting strange? Could Brit have a cold sore, falling back into her old odd ways or just not in the mood? In other recent news it has been reported that the pop singer could be granted the right to invest her funds with the help of her advisers into some heavy companies.

That really sucks for Britney, and I think she was covering her mouth because it looked like she was going to cry when she got turned away. That really did ruin her day, I bet. I’m the same way when I get especially crappy service somewhere – it taints the whole day for me, because I keep coming back to the snub (real or imagined) over and over. I can only imagine how it is for Britney, when something doesn’t go her way. Anyway, that’s why I think she had her hand over her mouth – she was trying not to cry on camera. Sad! Never fear, I bet there’s another Starbucks just a few blocks away, Brit!

Kinda harsh! I think she deserves our pity, she’s mentally ill. She looks pretty good- her weave is covered, she’s wearing a bra. What more do you expect?
I think she’s covering her mouth because she had her lips done, but who the hell knows. She doesn’t look like she’s about to lose it over a frapp to me, but whatever.

This is a non story – she looks fine. Give her a break. She is sick – and no wonder with her every move being written about, something bad being made-up. Shame on you.
If you were held to such scrutiny, I doubt you would look as good.
She’s been covering her lips for the last 3-4 sets of candids. Some people are speculating she got lip injections others that it’s illegal drug use. She used to do it a lot while running around in 2007.

I’m just glad that the mini meltdown I had because Au Bon Pain was out of Blueberry muffins wasn’t caught by paparazzi and turned into fodder for ridicule and gossip.

I did get a chuckle out of the “mothership” comment because most other media outlets that run Britney stories seem to make non-stories out of her routine coffee runs.
I’m glad she’s doing better, now can we all just leave the woman alone. There isn’t anything really that interesting about her.
