A couple of weeks ago, we told you about the impending divorce between comic actor Bill Murray and his wife, Jennifer, who dropped a bombshell that Murray was an abusive alcholic. Now, it looks like Jennifer may have some similar issues of her own. TMZ is reporting that the soon to be ex-Mrs. Murray was picked up by police back in March for verbally abusing her children while seemingly under the influence.
Bill Murray isn’t the only Murray who gets lit and lets it out on the kids — allegedly.
Murray’s wife Jennifer Butler-Murray was pinched by the po-po in South Carolina on March 17 after allegedly getting drunk — and then violent with her kids, according to a report filed with the Sullivan’s Island Police. A witness caught Jennifer yelling at one of the couple’s kids, and the cop who cornered her wrote that she was “very impaired.”
Butler-Murray’s been blabbing in a divorce filing that Bill was addicted to booze and drugs, abused, abandoned, and once said she was “lucky he didn’t kill her.”
This happened months ago, but it’s just coming to light now…wonder who leaked this to the press? This divorce is shaping up to be one of those Charlie-Denise “He Said, She Said,” type of deals. Which is sad for the couple’s kids. I hope they can find a way to resolve their differences privately from here on out and concentrate on helping their children deal with the fallout that goes along with divorce.

Wasn’t he still married when he hooked up with this woman? So she is hardly innocent. And um.. for verbal abuse someone can get locked up? Really? I thought it was just assault (physical)? Interesting. If so good for them. Verbal abuse is just as bad as physical imo.

Hell, I didn’t know the old boy was even married until this story broke. At least he was classy enough to not splatter every relationship twist and turn in front of the tabloids.

I met Bill Murray at the Pebble Beach Golf Tournament.I asked him for a pix on the course and he acted like I really put him out. But he had no trouble taking the time to flirt with some of the younger girls their. (I was with my husband and just wanted a picture.) The way I see it,everything has to be on his terms, pics, being funny, etc., I think he is a very insecure little man, the way he acted.The way he acted, I thought he was a jerk and it embarrassed me,you see alot from a so-called celeb when the cameras are not rolling. On the other hand, Kevin Costner was a complete gentlemen to the crowd. I can only imagine what it would be like to live with someone that moody. Now maybe she can date a real man that wont make her laugh in bed even when he is not talking…a JERK!!!

Well from what I know of alcoholics (unfortunately a lot) they usually like to live with an enabler who will let them get away with their behavior- who will ignore a lot of the behavior. THey also don’t like to drink alone because that reminds them that THEY have a problem so they make the people around them drink as well. You don’t have to be an alcoholic by nature to quickly become one by nurture.
And she was probably arrested more for public intoxication then for verbal assault.

I’m gutted really that all this stuff has come out about Bill Murray, he’s one of my favourite men on the planet. I’m secretly hoping none of it’s true and she’s just a scheming old witch.
