Lindsay Lohan’s epically terrible film I Know Who Killed Me won a record 8 Razzies, which I’m pretty sure makes it legally the worst film of all time. That’s right, it’s so bad you actually have to invoke the law to explain how awful it is.
Starz – one of those premium movie channels (the sucky kind that makes HBO look really, really good) – must have gotten a pretty good deal on the rights to the film. Which I’m guessing means the studio is actually paying Starz to air it. Needing some kind of advertising – and sensing that the also needed to justify airing such unmitigated crap – Starz came up with a novel approach to market the film to its subscribers.
In a relatively novel approach to movie marketing, cable TV premium film channel Starz has launched a promotion for its airing of Lindsay Lohan’s box office bomb, “I Know Who Killed Me,” by urging people to tune in not because it is good, but because the movie is so bad!
… Starz’s June 14 airing of “I Know Who Killed Me,” tells of twin girls stalked by a serial killer. Lohan plays both twins. The movie not only tanked at box offices ($7.5 million U.S.), it was killed by critics (only 8 pct had good things to say, according to review aggregator rottentomatoes.com).
With its promotional tongue firmly planted in its TV cheek, Starz trumpets the bad reviews in its ad promoting the movie. “A disaster that exerts a perverse fascination,” Variety wrote in its review last year, as it appears on the Starz ad.
While promoting bad movies is rare, it is not unheard of. A few years back, Starz did the same thing for 2003’s ”Gigli,” another poorly reviewed film that tanked at box offices. It starred Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. “It did extraordinarily well” for Starz, said the spokesman, although he did not have exact viewer figures. “More people watched on Starz than probably went to the theaters to see it.”

Lohan was so terrible in the film that she was actually nominated for two Razzies for her acting – one for each twin she played. I’m sure what applied to Gigli will apply to I Know Who Killed Me. If 14 Starz viewers just leave the television on while they clean the house, that’ll be more people than actually sat through it in the theaters. I was going to try to watch it, just to see why it was so terrible. But then my illegal download failed, and I realized I’d been saved by some cosmic force. Though I commend any of you who try.

LOL!!!
You just cracked me up with that line! JayBird, YOU ROCK!

Well, the movie is kind of creepy!
her character was a patetic wh*re…she just play herself!
But still, the movie wasn’t that bad -
I am guessing that people who watched it just did so to catch a glimpse of her doing the pole dancing. No matter how much of a skank that she is, like it or not, she is a beautiful girl.
-
She is a beautiful girl who plays the most heavily-dressed stripper of all time.
-
That’s what I was thinking Candy Cay– I thought they just wore bikinis/catholic schoolgirl uniforms and acrylic platforms, she looks like she’s dressed for a burlesque show.
-
Linday is stunning in that last pic. She’s gorgeous with dark hair… I wish she wouldn’t Dina her hair all out.
I want to see this movie just because it’s supposed to be so bad, lol.
-
I saw it. Ok, even though even my BF commented how bad the acting was, I’ve still seen much, much worse. It wasn’t THAT bad. I think I gave it two stars on Netflix.
-
Looks sh*tty, so duh, course I’ll waste 10 bucks watching. LOLs.
-
I can’t wait! I’m hoping it’s of showgirls proportions.
-
I was one of the few people who actually did see it in theaters.
I laughed the entire time. It’s worth seeing just because it’ so horrible. The plot, the acting, all of it.
-
No movie will ever replace “Showgirls” in my heart.
-
Sorry, but Lindsey IS NOT agood actress. She is [pretty, when her hair is it’s natural color which is RED.
Why keep putting her in movies? Cause she’s broke? THE GIRL CANNOT ACT! -
Thought I’d at least get the vicarious thrill of watching Lahohan getting tortured and killed, no- even the torture scene with the serial killer was dull and unwatchable.
-
i didn’t think it was THAT bad i have seen a lot worse, her best movie was parent trap when she was still young and innocent
-
Both her & her mom got their noses chopped by surgeons. It looks ridiculous.
-
I think I had just gotten Starz when they started promoting Gigli the same way. I can hardly wait to see if “I Know” has any scenes in par with the “Turkey Time- gobble gobble” in Gigli.

What are you talking about? This film is BRILLIANT! (yeah, im being sarcastic…duh…)

People are such dimwitted sheep who believe anything they read. I Know Who Killed Me is one of the few great horror films of recent years, along with Silent Hill. Why does no one trash Saw VIII, Hostel II and all the remakes, what is it about Lindsay Lohan that makes people so hostile?
-
Mike - FYI “I Know he killed me” is not a HORROR movie! lmao
It´s a thriller/suspense… having that said, the movie does suck! And I am speaking for myself, ´cuz I´ve already watched that crap…and what a waste of time!!!

It’s torture porn. I saw it opening weekend at a crowded (well not crowded, but at least 20 people) theatre and it was a blast. The audience laughed the whole way through. Lohan looked almost as bad as she acted. They shot her from below constantly, highlighting her double chin, nasal labial folds and dark circles under her eyes. It’s not as entertainingly bad as SHOWGIRLS or GLITTER, but it’s up there.
I think it should be shown on a double bill with THE PARENT TRAP.

I think Linds is high (on coke or opiates) in every still from this movie, look at her pupils they’re tiny. And it makes sense, she would have had to been high to agree to do this piece of shit.
