Does he ever smile? Angst stops being sexy after awhile.

  2. JoGirl says:

I wouldn’t go that far, but she’s definitely not cute.

  3. Susan says:

She is not very pretty. No wonder Uma left him — I bet she was so po’ed!

  4. xxx says:

She looks like she’s been around the block too many times.

  5. mary says:

I still think he is a better father than Federline, though

  6. McKenna says:

He cheated on Uma with that thing? nasty.

  7. Cindy Kennedy says:

Lots of people have tatoos these days. Its mainstream now. Its not “nasty” anymore. Get with the times !!

  8. Keith Orchard says:

Spoken like a girl with an arm tatoo. Tatoo’s have never been nasty to me, but nothing screams ‘I hate men’ or ‘I like chicks’ than a chick with an arm tatoo. I don’t make the rules, I just report them.

  9. momoftwins says:

    Classy 😆

  10. Hollz says:

    Keith, what the hell?
Having an “arm tattoo”(well, wrist), and being completely straight, i find you extremely offensive… Pamela Anderson’s gay now is she? Angelina Jolie? (well, ok, she’s Bi) Christina Agulia? all of them have “arm tattoos” I don’t know where you found this “rule” about women with “arm tattoos” being automatically gay, but i’m guessing you had a bad experience or something, and are making it up. Also, learn how to spell TATTOO!

The woman does look pretty grotty- but thats most likely because she is heavily pregnant, and its the middle of JUNE- it’s hot out there people!

  11. fluffyrabbit says:

They look like the trailer park families you see at county fairs.

This screams for a reality show to be made.

  12. TB says:

They all look like they need a bath and to go clothes shopping.

  13. MISSY says:

Uma is likely to be laughing her ass off at this moment, that picture is all the revenge she needs

  14. Keith Orchard says:

Hey Hollz, notice how everyone says she look trashy but i’m the only one that points out her bicept tattoo(thanks for correction). That’s cuz i don’t care what you think, i call it how i see it. On the serious side, you may need a drink, or just pull the stick out of your ass. You have to be one tightly wound individual to actually think i am serious in saying all women with tattoos on their arms are gay. Give me a break. Make no mistake though, chicks with bicept tattoos look trashy(the tattoo, not the woman), at least all that i have seen. 😈

  15. Keith Orchard says:

Oh yeah, and with all your protests and calling my comment offensive, it appears as if the shoe fits. Feeling regret I see. Don’t worry, it can be removed. 🙂

  16. Anastasia says:

Oh my gosh, everyone looks so sad. And super grungy. Was it wash day in his household or something?

  17. Larissa says:

To Keith – I do not have an arm tattoo, or any kind of tattoo for that matter!
But enough with those comments! Get over it, seriously! It´s starting to get really annoying and totally out of context!

  18. Anna says:

What’s wrong with being stressed out and not looking one’s best during some days of the pregnancy? Not everybody is as perfect, bouncy and fresh as those supermodel girlfriends like that Camilla. For once here’s a family that looks human and you diss them.

I find it pretty cool of Ethan to finally date (well soon marry) outside of the Hollywood star system. I’m sure it’s doing him and his family a lot of good. And she doesn’t have to be beautiful to any of you, but to him.

  19. NINA says:

Ethan is always wanting to live his life away media. Paparazzi tailing them is outrageous.

  20. Lenitha says:

This picture is sweet revenge for Uma, sure enough.

And this picture proves tattoos on anyone are trashy looking. Period.

Love the skin God put you in!

    Leave the ink alone people!

If you like art, hang it on a wall.

    Tattoos are immature. For real!

Now watch all the tattoo lovers freak on me. Angry bunch aren’t they?

  21. paris herpes says:

He’s a jerk and a terrible actor! I had such a huge crush on him in Reality Bites though. Too bad he got old and douchey and cheated on his hot wife with this…whatever she is!

  22. Karen says:

Haha – these two look like trailer trash.

  23. Nan says:

Why? Why is it always the Nanny? Bitch needs to get a different job here. Let’s see…who would I work for? Who has kids, a hot husband and looks like dog doody without makeup? Well, I’m sorry but Uma looks like doo EVEN with makeup. I bet she can see at a 350 degree angle, like a horse or frog. I’m sorry but her eyes are so far apart she looks more inbred than Britney or Matt McShanty’s eyebrow region. I’ll schlepp around all day but make sure he sees me b/I go out on a date all dolled up…just like Fran Drescher. Is there anyone left? Help me here.

  24. Rio says:

I’m not a “tattoo freak”, but I do love the skin I’m in…especially the parts with lovely inked designs!
Getting tattooed is a matter of personal preference and there’s never going to be one “right” viewpoint about it. If one doesn’t like tattoos, well, the simple solution is “don’t get one”. Many people (myself included) DO like them, but I can’t think of a single instance of a tattooed person calling a non-tattooed person “trashy” because they don’t have any ink.

  25. Nan says:

Rio is right. But why would a tatooed person call a non-tatooed person trashy b/c they don’t have tatoos? They’d find something else to bitch about. Something not so obvious.

  26. Cindy Kennedy says:

Its only old farts who think tattoos look trashy.

Almost everyone under 35 has a tattoo these days.

  27. Nan says:

Cinds, exactly. that is why I feel we are giving ourselves away age-wise for the future.

  28. Nan says:

I have a tat. Imagine getting perm lip liner.God, thanks Universe I was so drunk. BTW, 2 yrs later it faded. Used the ink of non-nippled people a/chemo & stuff. Really, love ya but goodnight!

  29. silly lilly says:

Its not the tats…its that is not a woman…thats Sean Penn in drag….

  30. Jaundice Machine says:

Keith – If you’re trying to look like an intellectual by drawing a correlation between a woman’s sexual orientation and the location of her tattoo, you should at least get the anatomy (and the correct spelling) right.

The upper most part of the arm is called the deltoid – the shoulder, in laymans terms. Not the ‘bicept’, as you keep on incorrectly asserting.

Then again, given the frequency of your assertions, and your inability to spell the word “tattoo” correctly in ANY of them – one would hardly confuse you for an expert on subject to begin with.

In conclusion – we all know your opinion about women with deltoid tattoos, and the more you spout off about it (in every post with a woman who has a visible tattoo), the more of uneducated jackass you make yourself out to be.

    Ta!

  31. Wif says:

TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE TATTOOS…did you know that (here in Canada, it may be different in the US or abroad) you canNOT be an organ donor if you have a tattoo? I don’t know why, it makes no sense to me. I just thought you may want to know and be able to lobby the appropriate powers if you’d like to be an organ donor.

And that lucky little 10 year old has Uma’s legs. We’ll be seeing her on screen in 10 years or so.

  32. geronimo says:

Well the reason would be as a precaution against blood-borne diseases if the tattoo (or piercing) wasn’t carried out in sterile conditions. But as far as I know, in Europe and the UK, the restriction only applies if the procedure was within the previous 12 months. After that, you can donate. A tattoo or a piercing on its own doesn’t prevent you from being a blood donor.

  33. xxx says:

Sorry, bit tatoos on women (or should I say females because they aren’t women) are low class. I look at it as poor parenting and a lack of respect for your body, an easy lay. You’re going to look really hot when you’re past age 35, which you consider old. Defending yourselves even make you look more foolish. The picture above captures it all whether you like it or not. From a 37 year old that takes care of herself & body.

  34. Jaundice Machine says:

That’s your opinion and you are entitled to it.
But SORRY – it is a very narrow-minded and accusatory statement that comes across as very, very ignorant.

I’m a vegetarian (have been since I was 15) and I’m training for a marathon. The majority of inked people I see at the gym work hard and take care of themselves – if anything I’d say they are particuarly proud of their bodies and work hard to maintain ‘a living canvas’. In fact, many body modification enthusiasts would argue that physical fitness is the ultimate body mod.

I also happen to be in a monogamous relationship the past for the past five years. I’ve been inked for 5 as well. Don’t tell my boyfriend, but I must be a total slut-bag.

My tattoos are my own. I got them for ME. I put time, money and thought into creating the perfect pieces to make ME happy. Not for YOU, or anyone else. If people judge me because of my modifications, it reveals their own ignorances and insecurities.

  35. Cindy Kennedy says:

Its only an OLD FART who sits around judging women with tattoos as being “loose” “easy lay” or “trashy”.

Tattoos and body piercings are the norm now for the under 35 crowd. I’d get my belly button pierced if I was younger. Wish that had been in style back in my day.

  36. Rio says:

“Sorry, bit tatoos on women (or should I say females because they aren’t women) are low class. I look at it as poor parenting and a lack of respect for your body, an easy lay”

I wasn’t going to comment on this thread again, but I will admit I was offended by this comment.
Long and short of it is: if you don’t like tattoos, fine. DO NOT GET ONE. Nobody is forcing them onto the general populace and it’s entirely your own decision to do it or not.
However, painting everyone who gets work done as “low class” is in fact the low class statement. Truly classy people– men or women– do not comment about other people’s personal decisions whether they agree with them or not– *especially* when the comments are directed towards anonymous people on the internet. Imagine I or anyone else were to say “all people who wear contacts are bad parents and easy lays with no respect for their bodies”. The statement makes no sense and is incredibly narrow-minded, and, yes, classless.
I’m sorry, but I do take personal offense at being branded in such a negative way by someone who has never met me and knows nothing about my life, simply because I decided to get a tattoo.

  37. Nan says:

NEVER do anything permanent in your youth.

  38. Prissa says:

yikes – did that report say 27?? Looks more like 47. Sorry folks that is one scary hag. He left Uma for THAT? *shudders*

  39. Rose says:

Why are people so quick to judge Ethan? What if this woman is his soulmate? He’d love her no matter what she looks like or what anyone thinks of her. I applaud Ethan for not choosing the classic Hollywood over-the-top glamour queen. It’s what’s on the inside that matters.

I was never really a fan of tattoos but I do agree that it is a personal choice and people shouldn’t be frowned upon for making that choice. One of the most lovable and attractive people I can think of, Heath Ledger, had lots of tattoos.

  40. xxx says:

Yes, Ethan’s woman is a perfect picture of class. Lol I’m sorry some of you weren’t taught how to look respectful, respectful of your body. Tila Tequila looks smashing! At 37 I am quite sure I look much better than the majority of angry tatoo posters. I take care of my body, weigh 115 pounds, and take good care of skin. I’m sure I also look much younger due to having a good teeth and botox. I use preventative options to protect my youth. I look more like Jennifer Anniston (sans tattoo) than Pamela Anderson. Find me a MD with tattoos….. Sorry you don’t agree but I think a lot of you will regret your decision as you grow older. Tell me, what do you think of 50 year olds with tatoos? Believe it or not, you too will pass 35 one day, faster than you think.

Ps, a vegetarian diet will age you quicker due to lack of protein. Take a look at the skin of vegetarians that have been doing it for 10+ years. If that’s your choice good for you, I wish I could go without eating meat also. But you will lose elasticity in your face over time which makes you look older unfortunately.

  41. Lenitha says:

    Tattoos are trashy and immature.

    They are! Low class.

And no, the majority of people under 35 DO NOT have tattoos.

Sounds like you want to justify getting yours.

  42. MISSY says:

Tattoos are o.k. but it’s just looks gross on aging skin and if you think not you been lied too

  43. Blonde Ambition says:

I have a small tattoo on the back of my neck, its easily covered by my long hair, an artist, I wanted a permanent form of art that I would always have with me, so I drew some bright colored wild flowers and added my own personal touches and had it tattoo’d from the bottom of my left rib to the left side of my belly button. I keep them covered, and I couldn’t be farther from “low class” or “trashy”.

I am independent, work 45+ hours a week and put myself through school full-time. I live a good life and there is nothing “low class” about it.

Tattoos are just another form of art just like anything else that is put down on a medium (the surface of the art) and called art. If you don’t like someone’s body shape, you don’t call them trashy, its who they are.

Just like anything else in life, we all have personal preferences and choices.

I want to call you and ignorant dumb@$$ for thinking of people with tattoos the way you do, but its your choice…

Don’t judge me until you have met me.

  44. Jaundice Machine says:

xxx – I fail to see how you would expect to elicit anything but passionate responses from individuals with tattoos. In a previous post, you accused everyone who is tattooed of being low-class, disrespectful, sexually loose, and a bad parent. Highly inflammatory words, ma’dam (and especially curious coming from a woman with a suggestive username like “xxx”). People are likely to take offense and respond in kind.

As for my part, I feel my response was well measured and objective in trying to offer you counter-evidence to your very hurtful, incendiary and baseless claims. (Though I realize the CAPS I used may have been construed as shouting, it was not my intention. I have yet to figure out how to italicise for emphasis on this forum, so I use CAPS to articulate certain words.) The fact that you are so cavalier in your provocation of anger suggests to me that you are A) a troll, or B) very, very thick in the head. And at 37, you’re a too little old to be either.

Your stance on professionals with tattoos is laughable, and I wonder if it derives from absolute nativee or outright stupidity. Certainly there are plenty of high-ranking professionals with clandestine tattoos. (For example; When my boyfriend’s anesthesiologist prepped him for surgery, he commented on my bf’s tattoo and asked where he got “inked”. People who are not interested in tattoos do not ask others where they got their tattoo.) As ink becomes more and more ‘acceptable’ in modern society, I’m sure you’ll find many professionals with full sleaves, albeit hidden under their clothes – three friends of mine are heavily tattooed and are pursuing PHD’s. Having ink does not correlate with one’s IQ. But if you are still in doubt, perhaps you should you share your opinions with some of the men and women coming home from Iraq – the Military is one of the fastest rising sub-groups of tattooed individuals. I’m sure they’d love to hear how “low class” they are.

It occurs to me that the problem here isn’t how you feel about tattoos, rather, the generational trend they represent. You seem to be rather selfconscious about your age and your appearance, and you resent the fact that your lack of tattoos betrays your age despite your efforts to disguise it. (And as a fellow athlete, I applaud your dedication to health and fitness – but posting your weight on a public message board is a bit tacky . . . low class, even, don’t you think?) Your obsession over your age and appearance is highly transparent, and incredibly superficial and sad. One should be happy in the skin they are in, regardless of how marked or wrinkly they may become (and it happens to the best of us, love).

I know my skin will grow old, wrinkled and unattractive, but I’m fine with that. My tattoos are my own, and the only opinion that matters is my own. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The people who are too intimidated by my appearance and therefore choose not to associate with me, are probably not worthwhile people for me to associate with, anyways. No tears lost.

Ps – I decided to share my dietary choice to help to illustrate the point that I am very conscientious about what I put into my body, as well as what I put ON it – (again, emphasis, not shouting) – which is contrary to your claim that tattooed individuals do not respect their bodies. While I enjoy additional health benefits as a by-product of my dietary choice, I really couldn’t care less if my skin ages slightly faster than my omnivorous peers. My decision to be a vegetarian, after all, isn’t just about me . . . ya dig?

  45. Jaundice Machine says:

That’s what I thought. Thanks for your contribution.

  46. SBH says:

this conversation is amusing. Unfortunately this couple looks unhappy, very. I wonder at how the conversation got twisted up in tattoos when perhaps the “trashy” element is cheating on a spouse!

regarding tattoos. i don’t have one. i won’t get one. I love them. i think some are absolutely beautiful, some funny, some awful, some witty and so on…like people. the choice to get or not get a tattoo is entirely personal and hurts and affects nobody else anymore than a haircut.

I’m 36, finishing my PhD right now and am a former high level national corporate IT sales manager. most of my friends are overeducated and a number of them own successful businesses. I’d say more people I know than not have tattoos. Big deal

i won’t because of religious reasons- for myself- and mostly because i like my body how it is. i don’t chose to tattoo it or add additional breasts and so on – but that is my choice.

once you start demanding what someone should or should not do to their own body you start walking a very thin and dangerous line. a line that addresses abortion laws human resource demands and prejudice.

don;t be silly. Haven;t you ever seen a gorgeous tattoo? I have seen many. it’s an art form, and a very interesting one if you study the history. if you don’t like it – c’est la vie.

Now. I have issues with the cheating with these two. Ethan was married, not in an open relationship. If anything makes them – her – and him – trashy – that’d be it!

  47. Marianne says:

Well put SBH 😀 , that’s my issue with them too. I’m a female heterosexual, so it doesn’t matter to me what a woman looks like, but I do find cheating is ugly and if you do it you look like an ogre to me (tattoo or not).

  48. Tommy says:

I’m a 28 year old NY resident, I don’t like tatts on girls, just my opinion. Some comments refer to tatt’s as works of art!!! well not the ones I’ve seen, have you seen soccer player D Beckhams arms? nasty…….also why not just buy an actual piece of art, hang it on your wall so much better and you can change it if/when you get bored. The only time in my opinion tatts look OK is in memoriam of a deceased family member. A personal and intimate epitaph for there eyes only.

  49. It’s satisfying to see a writer with high standards like yours. I know this from reading your article. You have a lot of useful information.
