Lovely Liv Tyler, 30, is in the process of divorcing her husband of nearly five years, British musician Royston Langon. The two remain committed parents to their three year old son, Milo. Liv has the blockbuster hit The Incredible Hulk out in theaters as well as thriller The Strangers. She confirmed her split with Royston a little over a month ago, and told OK! Magazine in a recent interview that she can’t talk about it.
Liv gave a kind and somewhat revealing response when asked how she’s dealing with the end of her marriage. She said it’s “heartbreaking,” but that it’s “personal” and she’s “not ready to talk about it.”
How are you coping with the sad news about your marriage?
I’m doing okay. But that’s too personal to talk about because it’s terribly sad. Heartbreaking. I’m really not ready to talk about it.
Why did you say yes to The Incredible Hulk?
Edward Norton wrote a really great part for me. I play a scientist, which I know is unbelievable! But I have a lot of good things to do. I really enjoyed it.
Will you let Milo watch the movie?
Maybe when he’s older. He’s too young at the moment.
We just saw you in The Strangers. Do you like scary movies?
When I was a kid, I was obsessed with horror movies. But then I watched The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and it really scared me, so I was like, “Okay, I’m done with horror movies!”

When asked what she would like to do in the business that would be new for her, Liv answered that she wants to do a musical! She says she’s always wanted a chance to sing on screen.
I would love to do a musical. That’s the dream of my whole life. I always wanted to be a singer, or get to sing. I like the Old Hollywood idea of singing and dancing; it’s so theatrical and fabulous. I have a very musical family, and I enjoy music a lot.

As for what films she has coming up, Liv says she shot Smother with Diane Keaton, but is not sure “if it’s ever going to be released.” She said she did three movies in a row, took a break, and is “excited to see what happens next.”
Liv Tyler strikes me as such a good person and I hope she has a full and successful career ahead of her. She has a type of vulnerability about her that is endearing and honest. It’s got to be painful to go through a divorce, but she has many advantages in life and is sure to come out on the other side with her head high and hopefully her finances intact.

Cindy that is a silly comment. I admire Liv, and I think it’s nice for celebrities to NOT want to talk about things sometimes, instead of always blabbing about their personal lives to magazines in order to make money.

I think it’s admirable to keep it personal. She handled that in a very classy way.
I think she’s quite lovely. When you look at her father, you realize it’s a miracle that she’s this pretty.

Cindy just for that comment you are a hidious person outside and inside, who probablly has self-esteem issues. You think it was cool to make such a statemtn…it wasn’t. Go get some therapy and come back when you’re alittle more compssionate and considerate.
I feel bad for anyone divorcing esspecially when tehre is a child involved.

She is very pretty but she has horrible luck with men. She’s always being dumped and cheated on.

I personally think anyone who leaves a comment about a celebrity that is based purely on looks should have to send in a photo of themselves as well for us all to judge.
That being said…I think Liv is amazing and delightful. I wish her all the best.

A lot of people are defending Liv b/c she is one of the rare actresses who seems like a sweetheart. Esp. someone going through a rough divorce is hardly the time to just make fun of their looks. It’s fun to mock some of the train wrecks but not the nice ones. Like if someone mocked Paris and called her wonk eye, or Britney for going off the rails.. most people here wouldn’t give a damn.

I used to think she was a bit meh, but she has really grown on me and I now think she’s very pretty in a unique way. I especially admire her refusal to conform to lollipop head Hollywood. So not everyone thinks the same people are attractive, this is a gossip site for goodness sake and people are going to express their opinions, especially on actors who certainly got their start based on looks/connections like Liv did.

I think she’s pretty. She inspires me not to worry about being tan — although, truth be told, I’m so naturally pasty that I have to tan just to get to her color and my skin isn’t nearly so smooth and porcelain-looking. I don’t particularly like her hair pulled back tightly. It makes her head look a little…oniony…
But I love that shade of blue on her. I think us light skin/dark hair/blue eye girls look great in gem tones.

Adore Liv .. she’s a stunner .. but Yikes! That hairdo, dress and shoes! Kinda trashy. Leave the hair down .. you can even keep the shoes .. just throw on a nice little black dress - much better! She should be looking like a refined beauty .. not a teeny bopper refugee from a roller disco circa 1978!!

Love that Megan called the person with a not so nice comment about Liv Tyler “silly” instead of something nasty. And to Kaiser, I read the same thing on laineygossip as well! It was soon after she announced that they were getting divorced. I love Liv and saw the Strangers as well as the Incredible Hulk.

I know I’ll get blasted by e1 for saying this but look at those lips! The top one, I mean. That is NOT natural. Compare her lips in LOTR to now… I don’t know why she would do that. Her mouth was awesome before! She’d probably just say her big lips are genetic (from dad, obvs) but I say no way.
