He’s an idiot if he only thinks he’s made two crappy movies. Hell he’s an idiot period.

i like him and totally agree that brad and george act like a bunch of ass-wipes. and i thought planet of the apes was a great movie.

The Oceans movies did suck and I applaud his ability to say what is on his mind instead of running around being a hypocrite, kissing everyone’s ass in Hollywood. At least someone has the balls to speak what many of the rest of us are thinking.

I loved Planet of the Apes. I’m a Tim Burton fan and also love Helena Bonham Carter.

I always wondered what happened to the seemingly close friendship Wahlberg and Clooney had during/after Three Kings and The Perfect Storm. Now I know. Wahlberg’s kinda douchey. Interesting.

Although I think Wahlberg’s just being honest here – the Oceans post O11 stink to high heaven – it’s odd that he would choose now to re-open old wounds with a movie coming out, and not a good one at that.
I like him a lot, loved him in The Departed, but he could do with having a bit more substance on his CV before lobbing one at Clooney & co. Particularly as he said all this at the time of the O11 auditions when he lost out to Matt Damon. Old story, odd time to revive it.

Those Ocean movies made me cringe, and Brad’s wardrobe was so uncool. He was dressed like it was back in the 90′s, plus some sort of pseudo-gay-kitsh style. It just wasn’t working for him.

I agree Geronimo. And whats up with serving 45 days of a 2 year sentence? He wasn’t a celeb then. Maybe the jails were overcrowded?

I think he’s trying to be funny. He admitted that at least two of his movies are crappy compared to the one crappy one with Clooney and Pitt he declined to be in – sounds like he’s making a joke at his own expense.

The original first film with the Rat Pack tops them all. Hands down. Period.

The Oceans thing dragged on too long. Even the trailers annoyed me; Brad Pitt and George Clooney just laughing… annoying.
I got tired of the same canned stories about how much fun they all had together, how George is ‘such a prankster on set’, etc. They were all too self aware on screen and smug that it interfered with the movie. No thanks. I love how Wahlberg had the stones to speak up about this; most people don’t dare slight Pitt and Clooney. He’s just not sugarcoating.

Jeez, Ocean’s Haters. You’d think the films bombed or something. Didn’t the films make close to a combined billion dollars?
F— it, I’ll admit it. I saw all three in the theaters (I saw O13 twice in one week). And I enjoyed them.
The weird thing is, I actually like Wahlberg, and think he’s talented. But it always pisses me off when any star is trying to get some quick promotion for their film by dissing other people’s work.

Yeah Oceans 12 sucked. But the other two were awesome! And I thought Planet of the Apes was pretty good.
I like the way Mark Wahlberg doesn’t care about what people think about him and is willing to admit when he’s done something stupid.
I’m sure he just really didn’t want to be in another George Clooney movie after being in Perfect Storm AND Three Kings with him! That might get old.

Love Wahlberg…and this makes me love him even more. Come on, I too love Clooney and Pitt, but he’s absolutely correct on the boot licking and the terribleness of Ocean’s 12!!!
PS: I actually liked Planet of the Apes and I fondly remember laughing at him as a rapper.

Meh. Yez are all wrong – he just didn’t want to be outshined by the legend that is Eliot Gould

Mark now has a decent career with the HELP of George Clooney. Apparently their break-up was so difficult for Marky Mark Funkybunch! He’s always been so jealous of Brad…he’s prettier and foot taller than Mr Funkybunch too!

This guy never did it for me. Great body but just okay face.

I’m very inclined to agree with him and I like his style of layin’ it out there so that a child can understand it. He says what he means, then he takes digs at himself and if you have beef with that then it’s on you. Three Kings, for me, is almost flawless. I have watched it many times. Thanks for your rollicking performance Mark.

Mark, don’t you dare be one of those guys that has to run to the doctor for botox or surgery as that will spoil your “real” approach to living your life and will ruin any performances for me on screen if you do. Just say no!

I can completely understand your reasoning but for me, you throw in his sense of self, his sense of humor and his gusto for life(seemingly)and it makes quite an attractive package indeed. For these type of guys, it’s the personality that gives them the extra panche. Yummy!

Kind of douchey? Maybe there’s a back story we don’t know about and he had an opportunity to enlighten us a little on ‘ol Georgey boy. Or, it could be sour grapes, but I don’t care, I still like Mark a lot, after all, his life could have turned out much differently if he had not turned himself around. If I’m not mistaken, George has had quite a privledged life and is taken in by the need for plastic surgery. A little too girlish for my taste.

“We were in Europe, George was funny, then we had some wine…” – that’s not for me. Heee, I love this quote. I like Brad, got nothing against George Clooney but those movies and the press they did for the last two were a little too ego-stroking for me.

Marky Mark is an arrogant egomaniac. Nothing he has appeared in can come near the work of the cast of the Ocean’s films (with the exception of The Departed, but that had absolutely NADA to do with Mark). He turned it down because it was an ensemble film, instead of a “look at me, I’m the STAR” film.
While he’s dissing his stint as a very famous early rapper, he should remember this: No one would know who the hell he is today if he wasn’t Marky Mark and the brother of Donny from NKOTB. A lot of people gave him the opportunities that brought him to the level of success he has reached. Maybe he should quit crapping on them.

I liked the Ocean’s movies, but it would of been 1000 x’s better if Mark Wahlberg was in them ;]. I’d take Mark Wahlberg over Clooney and Pitt in a movie anyday!
