Jennifer Love Hewitt’s boyfriend gets her flowers every day

Just a few days ago we heard that Jennifer Love Hewitt was producing two new romantic comedies that she sold to ABC and Fox. She’s also developing a series for Lifetime based on her housewife-turned hooker TV movie, The Client List. Hewitt is keeping busy post-Ghost Whisperer and it sounds like she’s carved out quite a career for herself that doesn’t involve waiting on casting decisions.

Inevitably, though, she’s still talking about her love life. This usually gets her plenty of coverage so you can’t blame her. Hewitt recently did a half marathon and later attended an event with her new boyfriend, an actor-director named Alex Beh. They’ve been dating since July and are both comfortable enough about it to talk to the press. It sounds like Alex is quite the romantic, as he gets Jennifer flowers every day. She also gushed about how she believes in love, and hopes to have a family and children.

“Every single day since I’ve met him, he has bought me flowers,” she said.

“He doesn’t miss a day. It never gets old!”

Jennifer and Alex — who started dating in July — recently completed a half-marathon together!

“We really were just there to root each other on. I actually hurt my knee halfway through, so he slowed down and stayed with me, which was really nice!” she added. – From ShowbizSpy

“I’m a hopeless romantic. I love love. My middle name is Love. Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday. I want to have a family and children. I am a sucker for every romantic comedy that comes out.” – From US Magazine

Hewitt reminds me so much of Jessica Simpson. On one side they’re smart businesswoman who are doing extremely well on their own. On the other they seem to idealize men and relationships to the point where they think the right one will solve all their issues. Life is not like a romantic comedy and the cute dopey guy the girl gets in the end can often end up bugging the shit out of her (and vice versa) after the dopamine wears off. Still, in Hewitt and Simpson’s case it seems like the feeling is mutual with their new guys and that’s sweet. What’s going to happen when Hewitt’s guy forgets the flowers though? Is that going to signal the start of a new “serious” phase in their relationship? That’s usually what happens in the movies, and then they’re driven apart by some contrived situation, only to reunite at the last minute. In the romcoms that Hewitt loves, all conflict is solved by the magic of matrimony.

Flowers everyday has GOT to get old! He should mix it up with some diamonds or some crystals so she can bedazzle her lady parts some more! 🙂

  2. Samigirl says:

    HAHAHA@Dorothy.
    Vajazzling is ridiculous.

  3. Johnny Depp's Girl says:

    BARF!

  4. roguesiren says:

Honey, this is just the honeymoon phase. That will get old very quickly, no matter how much vajazzling you do.

  5. Happymom says:

I’m amazed that she could be so smart with her career and so pathetic with her love life. I’m sorry but flowers every day is not sweet-it’s ridiculous.

  6. Arianna says:

    what a waste of money
grow your own damn flower patch

  7. The_Porscha says:

Not to be terribly cynical, but on a pragmatic level, I would assume that having dead or dying flowers around daily would get pretty old. He should just get her some great looking fake ones to enjoy for the rest of their lives together… however long that turns out being. As for everything else, good for her if she’s happy. Lord knows that with JLH and Jessica Simpson their love lives turn into cyclical nonsense eventually, but the optimist in me always hopes for the best in the next round.

  8. jen says:

Maybe he lives behind a flower shop & pulls them out of the dumpster.

  9. DD says:

They make a really cute couple, a lot better than that Kennedy guy. Now I don’t think Jennifer is capable of dating a guy without immediately getting engaged so I wonder what’s taking so long? Her skin is so flawless.

  10. Jacq says:

Flowers that I’m sure he buys with her money, which I will believe until the press figures out this guy is in his private life

  11. Deniz says:

The important question here is…Where does she put all those flowers?

  12. CB Rawks says:

She is completely inexplicable. She’s the Joe Piscopo of actresses: not very talented, not very attractive, but somehow still there.

  13. Roxanne75 says:

Everyone hahahahaha, you are so jealous because you don’t get this kind of romance. Honeymoon phase or not good for her! At least someone is getting attention..!!! My first reaction was jokingly “bastard” just b/c of my jealousy too! 😉 I wish her the best

  14. terryo says:

She offers him her “luscious flower” everyday all vajazzilized! Mmmmmm…a lovely and tasty “luscious flower” plus fabulous boobs and an all around nice girl!

  15. CB Rawks says:

My husband planted a lot of flowering plants along our walkway, in many bright colours just to please me, and they don’t die after a day. That’s much more romantic because he has to walk along a really girly pathway every day. 🙂

  16. bellaluna says:

He’s gay. He’s wearing a shirt that says “Brotally!” while running the marathon.

That being said, if he’s not gay, I really hope it works for her. If I’m tired of reading about her love-life, I’m sure she’s tired of living it!

  17. melinda says:

Am I the only one that thinks this is awesome? I love having fresh flowers in my house all the time, they can last up to 2 weeks if you clean out the water here and there. When they start dying, you chuck them and he brings new ones! There are tons of places you can put them; living room, dining room, entry, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen counter. I am also assuming they dont see each other EVERY DAY. Where do I sign up?

  18. Jeri says:

Jessica and Jennifer both have fairly short-lived relationships also. They are INTENSE.

  19. roxi says:

@jen, too funny! I’m still laughing at your comment.

@Roxanne, I’m not jealous. My husband is very romantic. He bought me beautiful flowers last week just because and continually does little things to show he cares. The reason I’m not impressed is b/c who wants fresh flowers EVERY DAY for 4 months! Seriously! Get creative once in a while.

And I’d also like to know what that day will be like when he doesn’t send flowers?

  20. Jenna says:

he should just buy her a potted flower… then it can bloom every year!

  21. Bailey says:

this girl doesn’t like to be alone.
she needs to take a break and get off the relationship roulette.

  22. lucy2 says:

I don’t think she’s all that talented, but good for her for selling TV shows.
The endless parade of her new boyfriends gets really tiresome though, and she can’t seem to be without one for more than a minute or two. It wouldn’t be so bad except she always puts out press and comments about it.

  23. Ruffian9 says:

“Every single day since I’ve met him, he has bought me flowers,”

He’s either covering something, or compensating for something

  24. To think says:

both Jessica & Jennifer dated Mayer is the crime here.

It does look like both women have found great guys this time around. Very different then there norm. I wish bot women well.

    Both landed great caring guys.

  25. Danny says:

Does his head look too big in the first photo? Oh yeah, fix your fly.

  26. Cvety says:

Flowers – are not important in a relationship, it is better to give love everyday

  27. Hanna Dody says:

Flowers keep on being secret for lots of people, I prefer buying flowers from responsible florists and also I prefer fresh cut flowers.
